Crumbs in da buttah...

Following my wife's wishes, I've been eating less cheese and butter than I have in past years and recently switched to an olive oil and butter blend that comes in little tubs, I'd say it's more than two months to finish one off.

Buttered toast is a favorite of mine and I probably have 6-8 slices on Italian bread each week. (let's not talk about diet... )

Insert pet peeves... I don't like crumbs in the butter. I don't.
For some magical reason, my wife knows this and doesn't leave crumbs in the butter.

side note: she's awesome, I think I'll keep her around

My tool of choice when spreading butter on toast is a spoon. The back of the spoon. We have some rounded bottom spoons smaller than a soup spoon and they are perfect for the job! The best part is they don't crush the toast like a butter knife would, thus reducing the chance of crumbs getting into the tub of butter.

I did a little research to see 'official' butter knives with cream spoons were the fashion 3 or 4 generations ago.

Thanks for readin'
