I guess I should blog some...

Lately, my free time has been spent on a condo renovation. But I must say I joined another dating site 7 months ago that has a blog section that's super active.
I tried to get members to be more active here, but it doesn't appear my actions have worked.

Maybe I should write a political blog... they always get comments.

I've tried to get people to "just simply talk about stuff" and its like one has asked them to dive into a barrel of hot oil.

I've always found it quite strange how little people have to say about anything. I wonder if they are simply afraid of their own opinions and thoughts.

I think one big drivers of relationship building failure on this site, is the 'fear and reluctance" of people to express their opinions and thoughts.

No one is really looking for anyone who does not have thoughts and opinions, because without that, one "does not know what the heck they are getting into, or what the other person is all about".

In that sense, I wonder if people think "a posted picture is suppose to be some magical 'instant make a relationship" image. If, so, that's extremely vain and self consumed of one who would think such. Relationships are about "communication' and what communication and build in bonding people to think whether or not they want to make relations.

When people are afraid of their opinions and thoughts, and afraid to express them.... it certainly is not a good recipe for a relationship, or for building one.

I've seen people on here who boast about their educational degree, yet have nothing to say in commentary interchanges about anything.

Its the craziest thing ever for people to join a web site that has a structure for relationship and association building potential of friends and mates, yet they never have much of anything to say, or never say anything, do not create blogs, do not engage the magazine sections. Then the question is, "why are they here"? It likely is not of a serious intent to "interact".

I use to write here frequently and in high volume, but it got tiresome that people simply don't 'engage and interactively expound and expand upon subject matter".....

I've found a few sites I write on, some engage, but some like "one liner sarcasm or one liner wit" spins....

On Here long ago, I had more than 20+ thousands posting on a blog that got wiped out, even now with 4K post, plus comments. people gloss over it.
If one goes to older posting and look at the claimed reader's number, how is it possible that 1000's of people can read anything and think nothing, that motivates them to say something.

Its maybe symbolic of how their lives function, and their wants and dreams get despaired, because they don't engage to express themselves.

Nothing is gained in life without some form of "expression"....

Someone could write about a rat eating cheese and If I read it, I'm going to have some thought about it. and its quite likely I may express it to.

why you need to join another dating site ??
20 years ago I joined Matchdoctor. It was a totally free site where we could send messages, post blogs and contribute in the forums. It was common to see 2,000 people online line Saturday night and I made many friends there.

The owner didn't have time to moderate and no money to hire someone to help.
I was contacted because the number of fake profiles was more than real ones.
He knew I had a blog list of 200 scammers names and photos warning the real members.

Also, there were some members causing trouble that would return after he closed their profiles. Banning them didn't work. They always found a way to return and instigate problems.

He felt it wasn't worth keeping the site and they closed in June 2018.

Several of my friends moved to a new free site and I was invited to join with them.

While I didn't 'need to join' another site, many of the members are all over the world and offer many different views and opinions.

I've never had a problem expressing my opinion here. I have gotten into a few arguments but very few over the years. I try to express myself professionally and am open to criticism. If I am wrong I have no problem admitting it. The participation here has died down over the years and I think that is due to people leaving. The phony listings and lousy maintenance just became discouraging. I used to be a paid member and enjoyed... Now I am approached daily by fake women, half my age probably looking for money. I am sure many of them are not even women.
