History of chang Su Ho Garden During these days, because i was looking for a job and i had went to so many place to interview. otherwise i have saw some very very nice old building in shanghai, now let me introduce Chang Su Ho Garden and show one of photo here to you. chang su ho garden is the earliest amusement park in shanghai,which was situated in building well road (west nanjing road taixing road at pesent) the garden covers an area over 20 acres,south t0 between yates road weihaiwei road(weihai road) north to love lane (wujiang road)between yates road,(shimenyi road) and moulmein road (north maoming road) from east to west.it was originally a farm,and later opened for a graden house,in 1882,a rich merchant,chang su ho bought it and rebuilt it into a private garden with westem-style,then it was named "chang's weichun garden"chang garden for short,it was officially opened in 1885,where planted a variety of foreign flowers,at that time in shanghai,chang su ho garden was the largest on and also the only one private garden free to the public,it even became shanghai's largest pulic place in the last yesrs of qing dynasty. change su hu garden,has a broad lawn and is tree-lined everywhere , there were kinds of recreational facility in it.like photostudio,teenis counrt,book fair,etc, in 1892,zhangshu he rebuilt a tall western-style house in the garden,and it is recorded that the house had two floors a fantasy hall which could accommodate thousands of guests and a great view over most of scenery in shanghai.
