Imagine there is no heaven - John Lennon's song

Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today...

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace...

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...

Yes, I am 100% agree with John Lennon of Beatles. I love this song too. So, now you know I am NOT the only person who believe there is no heaven or hell. This song says all.

Big Smile. We only have one life to live. Please make fullest of your life. I have NEVER harm a person. It doesn't matter to me where I will go when I die. It doesn't matter if you laugh at me or disagree with me. It doesn't matter because I know I am right and John Lennon believed what I believe. I am NOT here to offend anyone but please understand me.

John Lennon died on Dec 10, 1980 that was the year I came to USA. I searched for John Lennon and copy it from Wikipedia, not my writing. I also just viewed a long video that the last few days before he died, the studio manager, the photographer who took the picture of the murderer from Hawaii was stalking John Lennon whole day and John Lennon took over the album to sign his autograph for him. How can his fan kill him on that horrified night? Here is AFF, John was a Caucasian and he married Yoko (an Asian) as his 2nd wife. From that video I can feel that John deeply loved Yoko.

The other night I read your blog, (The lesson taught) and replied. Then all the sudden I remembered this song, (Imagine) which is so easy to explain what I always said in my blogs "no religion", "no heaven or hell". I think this song is the best way to explain my thought about "religion" in a very pleasant way.

Ever since my 7th grade in Taiwan, I started to learn English and loved English songs ever since. I bought recorder and sang along again and again. When I was in pharmaceutical college in Taiwan, I was the only person who sang English songs on bus during field trips. Unlike all other classmates sing Chinese songs, I sang only English songs. I learned English pronunciation from "Carpenters" and so many other singers. I was NOT crazy about Beatles at that time because I don't like those girls so crazy whenever Beatles appeared.

Death of John Lennon
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

John Lennon was an English musician who gained worldwide fame as one of the founders of The Beatles, for his subsequent solo career, and for his political activism and pacifism. He was shot by Mark David Chapman at the entrance of the building where he lived, The Dakota, in New York City on 8 December 1980. Lennon had just returned from Record Plant Studio with his wife, Yoko Ono.

Lennon was pronounced dead on arrival at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center, where it was stated that nobody could have lived for more than a few minutes after sustaining such injuries. Shortly after local news stations reported Lennon's death, crowds gathered at Roosevelt Hospital and in front of the Dakota. Lennon was cremated on 10 December 1980 at the Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale, New York; the ashes were given to Ono, who chose not to hold a funeral for him. The first report of Lennon's death to a U.S. national audience was announced by Howard Cosell, on ABC's Monday Night Football.

Thank you for your sympathy. I am a very strong and brave woman as everyone who knows me said.

I have been very busy this year. My Mom had been in and out of hospitals and nursing homes. Now everything quiet down. I am planning to go travel. Maybe Maui, Hawaii first, then Switzerland. I have an empty nest now. I might as well go somewhere to relax a bit. .

Both of my pen-pals that have corresponded emails for many years invited me to go visit them. I have NEVER met them before. I will stay in hotel and they promised to give me a sightseeing tour. I don't need visa for either Maui or Swiss with my U.S. passport, so "government shutdown" won't effect my traveling.

When we are alive, we have energy, so the electrical components traveling around our body to make movements and thinking. When we expired, the energy is gone, so electrical circulation stopped. No more breathing, no more heart beats, no more thinking.

My mother just passed away on 9/20/2013 and her funeral was on 9/27/2013. I am the only child, I took care of her for 4 & 1/2 years at my house. She died at a nursing home. I did all I can to take care of her. She had severe osteoporosis which caused bone fractures when fell down, rheumatoid arthritis, spinal cord fracture. Due to her severe arthritis, she couldn't hold spoon, or fork to eat, so I had to feed her every meal. I hired a nurse-aid to give her shower, also hired a nurse (RN) to my house daily for wound care. I took her to doctor's appointment with wheelchair, to blood exam, to X-ray for 4 & 1/2 years. The last 8 months before she died, she completely stayed on bed, so I had to change her diapers, gave her medication on time (I'm a pharmacist), .... It was a labor work to take care of her, but I talked to MD's, surgeons, ER doctors, ... no doctor could save her. She passed away 17 days ago. She was 87 years old.

I went to mortuary, cremation (her wish), Catholic priest held a memorial ceremony on her funeral day, 9/27/13. My daughter and son came back for grand-mom's funeral. It is sad.

I hang her photo in my room. I did everything I could but no MD can save her. She died during sleep at a nursing home. I saw the last moment when she was passing.

My Mom was a Catholic and I had been a Catholic for my first 30+ years. I gradually changed to be an Agnostic.

Very sorry to hear about the sorrow, the challenges and the great loss.
You can be comforted in knowing that your will and dedication was based in good and giving care... it required no allegiance to a particular religion but to the grace in your heart and the care for life and family and honor of mother.

These are the drives, motivations and strength within our willingness to do good, give care and be of gracious regard, as actions and traits many religious denomination should be seeking to teach.

To RYouThe1

On another note, This is a quote from Albert Einstein in 1932 about God.

"The most beautiful and deepest experience a man can have is the sense of the mysterious. It is the underlying principle of religion as well as of all serious endeavour in art and science. He who never had this experience seems to me, if not dead, then at least blind. To sense that behind anything that can be experienced there is a something that our minds cannot grasp, whose beauty and sublimity reaches us only indirectly: this is religiousness. In this sense I am religious. To me it suffices to wonder at these secrets and to attempt humbly to grasp with my mind a mere image of the lofty structure of all there is."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------My physicist replied me as following:

It could very well be a quote from Einstein… and it means that nature gives him a feeling of humility and awe… that somehow it may be understandable but not by him… he had glimpsed just a small part of what might be out there… how mass and energy are related. He was religious in the sense that he was impressed by the grandeur of nature and its enormity, but he did not believe in god. God is a creation of mere man, and what Einstein was feeling was much greater… something that encompassed the whole universe with no need for man’s feeble attempt to make some explanations. He was also a Jew and Zionist, as he believed the historical account of Judaism and felt that the Jewish heritage was an important of his life. There are many atheist Jews.

To RYouThe1:

I have a friend who is PhD physicist. He read lots of books. His #1 idol is Einstein so let me ask him about Einstein quotation in 1932.

This physicist #2 idol is Mozart -- classical music.

I will get back to you later see what my friend said about Einstein. My physicist friend is definitely an atheist (100. I have very similar opinions with this physicist on Religion and Politics topics.

Bible and Koran were written by "human". I don't understand why those "Bible Study" people NOT question about "Bible", when there are so many weird and unbelievable stories in the Bible. They kept their questions inside or answered with twist theories because they fear of their God.

If you killed someone, or abortion, or lied, then you went to confess to a priest for the evil things you have done. The priest will tell you to recite 10 times Catholic Rosary and then you are cleaned to go to Heaven. Isn't that too easy? Many priests had "Pedophilia". Many famous Christian TV pastors such as Jim and Tammie Bakker made lots of money. Why? Because Catholic made the rules too straight for priests and nuns (they can't get married). Too many people donated too much money and made their pastors rich. As Muslims, we all know Osama bin Ladin evil action on 9/11/2001,

Does your religion teach you right? I don't need religion to teach me to do the right things. I know what is right or wrong.

Blasphemy is a "heavy" word, but don't worry, it won't effect on me. I am a very simple person and used Beatles song lyrics to explain that I am NOT alone. We all have different "brains" and think differently in every aspect in life, i.e. Religion, Politics, Friends or Foes, ... I am NOT here to convince anyone that who is right or wrong. I just used the lyrics to express my thoughts.

When the astronauts flew to the sky, passed the cloud, to the space and all the way to the Moon for 238,857 miles (384,403 Km) one way. Did we and astronauts see the Heaven? No, there are NOTHING in the space. There are no dead people walking around. Where is the Heaven? Okay, if Heaven do exist, China has more than 5,000 years of history, Jesus was a Jew so there is more than 2013 years the people already exist, the Egyptians also has long history, India has lots of people..... Do you know how many dead people? Just say 1/2 of those go to Heaven and 1/2 of them go to Hell, but they are still lots and lots people and animals. So those people in the Heaven, do they stay together as Catholic group, Christian group, Hindu group, How about Muslims? Muslims also believe in Al-La as their God, so they also go to Heaven. Indians believe in Hindu, they also go to Heaven. OMG, too many group of religious people on Heaven. Will they fight again in Heaven? Have you ever thought of this? I watched TV and saw Mr. Armstrong landed on the Moon, but I didn't see any Heaven. Where is Heaven? People believe if they believe in their God, they will guarantee to go to Heaven, so those people are greedy for NOTHING because Heaven does NOT exist. BTW, why there are only two kinds of people and only two places to go? Heaven or Hell. Someone said in my blog, people are NOT just "Black" or "White". I am NOT exactly a good person, but I am NOT a bad person either. Who fool whom? You fool yourself. I say when people died, the body become ashes or dust. There is no soul, past life, future life, or reincarnation (Hindu believe in reincarnation). Man and woman have sex and they have baby. God is NOT the creator of human. Human created the word of "God", "religion".... That's why this world is so complicated. Why do you need to defense your God is the "True God"? Let your God talk to me, then I will believe. Until then, I stay to be an Agnostic.
