Women who read can think ....

One morning, the husband returns the boat to their lakeside cottage after
several hours of fishing and decides to take a nap.

Although not familiar with the lake, the wife decides to take the boat out.
She motors out a short distance, anchors, puts her feet up, and begins to
read her book. The peace and solitude are magnificent..

Along comes a Fish and Game Warden in his boat. He pulls up alongside the woman and says, 'Good morning, Ma'am. What are you doing?'
'Reading a book,' she replies, (thinking, 'Isn't that obvious?) You are
in a Restricted Fishing Area,' he informs her.

'I'm sorry, officer, but I'm not fishing. I'm reading.'

'Yes, but I see you have all the equipment.
For all I know you could start at any moment.
I'll have to take you in and write you up.'
'If you do that, I'll have to charge you with sexual assault,' says the
woman.
'But I haven't even touched you,' says the Game Warden.
'That's true, but you have all the equipment..
For all I know you could start at any moment.'
'Have a nice day ma'am,' and he left.
MORAL:
Never argue with a woman who reads.
It's likely she can also think.

I was NOT born in a rich family. I have worked hard as a pharmacist since 1977 in Taiwan and since 1987 in California. When I was young, I had to save nickles and dimes to make ends meet. However, I had steady jobs, stable income. I understood USA financial system. From the 1st condo I bought, 20% down-pay & 80% loan (interest you paid can be deducted from income) in 1984. I changed to house, sold it, bought bigger house, .... Timing was right for me. In USA, if you sold a house with profits, you need to buy another house within 2 years that more expensive then the one you sold, that way you can avoid to pay capital gain tax. Working as a pharmacist is NOT "rich" job, but I did the right investment on real estate.

For example, I sold a condo at high in 2007 and made 4.5 times of my purchase prices. I used that money to purchase properties in the winter of 2011 when U.S. was in financial crisis. My mom was sick with Osteoporosis, multiple bone fractures, spinal cord surgery, rheumatoid arthritis, ... I took her to my house to take care of her for near 5 years, by quitting my pharmacist jobs in July of 2009. She passed away on 9/20/2013 (last year). She was 87.

At one point, I have had 8 properties, I got 7 rental payments every month. I bought properties at low, so ROI (Return On Investment) % is high. With that 7 rental income, I survived without working. I sold 2 properties in March & April of 2013, so I can pay my mom's medical co-payment (hospital & nursing home) and her funeral. I still have 6 property now. I planed my life well. If tenants stay, I collect rent. If tenants move out, I sold that property to get profits. I am doing pretty well.

I have a banker friend who also gave me advices from time to time. He is a CEO/President/Chairman of his 4 banks. He is a successful businessman. I went out with him for coffee or lunch and he always teach me some current financial situation.

I think I will stay in USA for the rest of my life, so I only date Caucasians who know well about USA financial system.

My daughter will be a MD and she got scholarships to pay her tuition. I pay for her dormitory or rent and her living expenses. She is a very smart girl. I don't need to worry about her.

I don't chase money. I planed well and catch the right timing. That's all.

You are much younger than me, you will have better chance to find a smart and wealthy man. I have 3 very good male friends. I like the banker the most for the past 8+ years. He has been daunted by divorce cost (50% community property), so he doesn't want another marriage. He is a very busy businessman. I wish I can see him more often.

To attract a good guy, you have to build up yourself. There are no rich and charming prince there until you have kissed many wrong frogs. Online dating is very tricky, you have to use your judgement to estimate the persons contacted you. Identify who is scammer, who is real. Read their profiles carefully, scammers are usually very stupid. They provide you personal email address to chat outside and ask money. Scammers don't want to meet you. The real people will want to meet you. Suspect "widowed" with a kid guys who didn't mention how his late wife died. Don't fall into "sweet talks" such as cute, drop dead gorgeous, beautiful lady, .... I have met 68 guys, none of them said those words to me. If guys "need" you, he is unsecured himself, so he "sweet talk" about your appearance. In other words, they are "superficial".

Have good time traveling !!

Kayra:

I came to USA in 1980 when I was 25. I became a Calif licensed pharmacist in 1987. I have had stable jobs as a pharmacist and the best thing is employers provided me vacation with pay. Every year I got at least 2 weeks vacation and 6 holidays. When I have worked with Kaiser hospital, they provided me 1 week vacation for worked every 3 months. So, I used to accumulate those vacation days together and go travel while I still got pay. Isn't that wonderful??

I have been to 12 National Parks in USA (Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, Yosemite, Sequoia, Zion, Grand Titan, ....) twice (once when I was single, once with my two kids), Hawaii, New York, Washington DC, Philadelphia, Niagara Falls, to Europe (England, France, Holland, and Belgium), to Canada West to see the most beautiful Louise Lake, to Alaska on cruise, to China (Beijing, Han-Ziou, Su-Ziou, and Shanghai), back to Taiwan for 32 days (sold my family house in Taiwan) and Japan for 5 days in 2011. I love to travel and always use the vacation to travel. I have been to Las Vegas more than 25 - 30 times. I don't gamble but purchased properties there for recent years. For other places I have been are Lake Tahoe, Mammoth Lake, San Diego, ......

My life is pretty good. I would like to see Spain, Italy, Australia and New Zealand, .... those are in my bucket list. We only have one life and I would like to live to the fullest.

My kids are adults and have their lives, I can travel anytime I wish for. I am retired and live on rental income, so I have freedom to travel.

Beautiful Kayra:

I can recommend you to go to Washington DC where has many places to visit, i.e. White House, National Monuments, Lincoln Memorial, U.S. Superior Court, Capitol Hills, the theater where President Lincoln had been assassinated, and where he died (a house cross street), JFK Center, National Air and Space Museum, .... Please Google "Tourist sites in Washington DC". All of those tourist sites are very close-by.

Also travel to Philadelphia for "Liberal Bell" and a place printing MONEY and coins.

You should visit New York too. Wall Street, UN (United Nation), Statue of Liberty, .... then go to see Niagara Falls, .

I have been there during the marriage, so I didn't provide photos in my profile.

In 2004, I subscribed Chinese FriendFinder with "pharmacist" and been rejected "the username pharmacist has been taken", so I changed to "pharmacist1", but still been rejected that been taken. I chose pharmacist2 so that Chinese FriendFinder accepted. That was it.

Yes, the restaurant is called "No Name Restaurant". They will provide you bibs, wet towels, and hammers when you are eating lobsters and crabs. They cook lobsters alive. Chinese like to eat animal "alive", "cooked alive". You know that. Yummy, the best lobsters and crabs I have ever eaten. You need to get a "reservation" to get a seat. This place is very popular, they don't need a name. LOL

Beautiful Kayra:

Thanks for your help in explaining the story.

I have been to Boston. You should go visit Harvard University and MIT, two very famous top 3 universities. Also there is a "No Name Restaurant" for crabs and lobsters, Yummy, delicious seafood. There is a place called "massacre square" where only 5 or 6 people had been killed by British before USA announced independence from England. Boston is a very small but cultured city from my memory. Have a good time traveling.

Lily:

Women can buy "fishing equipment" in USA. However, in certain lakes are not allow to fishing because they put in small fish to reproduce more fish (繁殖). That woman obviously didn't know that lake has restriction for fishing (Not all lake is restricted for fishing).

Lily, have you ever came to USA? I have been in USA for 34 years. Women have freedom to buy "fishing equipment". I have my own fishing pole, hooks, ... etc. However, in California, we need to pay for "fishing license" to fishing or the Game Warden can fine you to pay and obtain a "fishing license".

Do you understand this story now?

Lily:

Women can buy "fishing equipment" everywhere on earth, but she was on a boat at a "Restriction Fishing Area". Who bought the "fishing equipment" is NOT the point in this story. The point is the "fishing equipment" was on the boat she was on. That Game Warden assumed that woman gonna fishing at a "restriction area for fishing". The point is that woman is smart to get out of been arrested or fined by saying she will accuse the Game Warden "sexually attack" her.

In case you are still confused, she meant the fishing equipment on the boat doesn't mean she will use them for fishing just as the same that Game Warden has "penis" (equipment) on his body will attack her sexually.

Can someone help me to explain this story clearer to Lily? Thank you.

Lily:

Because there are fishing pole, hooks, fishing net, (equipment).... on that boat that her husband left on earlier made the Game Warden assume that woman gonna fishing on the lake.
