goannaoil:

My philosophy is "When in Rome, do as Roman do". I eat local food. I try exotic food. Before I left USA, I actually said on Chinese FriendFinder that I will eat kangaroo, crocodile, snake, .... etc. I am the only person at the "lamb cutlets", Yummy. Those women ordered steak, chicken, hamburger, and pizza in Australia and NZ. They have missed all the fun.

I bought a bracelet that is very pretty and shining but inexpensive. I don't buy expensive opal. I am different from the rest of 17 women.

However, they taught me a lot about deserts and cocktail (liquor). We get along very well.

Don't worry, the shepherd dog is well trained. The dog barked loud but very well-behaved. That show guy said the dog bark loud and all 19 sheep are petrified. Look at them. The sheep looked very calm in spite of loud voice dog barking. We all laughed. It was a very good show.

There was milk the cow and feeding the baby lambs later on too. It is a very interesting and funny shows. Those 19 different species of sheep seemed know their own name and stopped at the right signs. Amazing.

Have you seen this "sheep show"? If NOT, you'd better go NZ to see that show in Rotorua, in North island of New Zealand. It is NOT far from Australia.

Talk about food, we have 2 vegetarians and 1 Muslim who doesn't eat pork. I eat everything eatable except milk. I like milk, ice cream but will have bowel movements.

On photo #7, you can see that I bought an Opal bracelet.

I enjoyed this trip.

It has been called "Tim Tam slam" (bus driver told us) similar to Americans eat Oreo dip in milk. I am NOT much a coffee drinker because I am very sensitive to caffeine (insomnia) and I can't drink milk because "Lactose intolerance". My son enjoyed the Tim Tam cookies.

Yes, I love to eat exotic foods in different countries. Yes, my fellow Caucasian women didn't order exotic foods either. They are comfortable with the food they already known. They ordered (beef) steak and chicken. I am different from them. I am the only Asian among 18 women.

Caucasian women enjoy good deserts and liquor which I have never known before. I have learned from them during this trip.

Trusty:

Yes, there is a Woolworth supermarket on George Street in Sydney. The free bus #555 run on George Street daily from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and on Thursday the shopping hours (stores closed) at 9 p.m. so free bus hours also extended on Thursdays. Ask all Aussies, they know better than me. We didn't get on free bus #555 because we arrived Sydney after 5 p.m. and free bus stopped run at 3:30 p.m.

Yes, I enjoyed very much about the exotic foods but I gained weight. I look so fat.

Kayra:

The cave called Waitomo Caves that has 45 minute guided tour by boat of the limestone caverns and glow-worm grotto. It was dark inside. It is like thousands of stars shining above.

I bought at least 10 different tim Tam cookies and gave my son 3 Tim Tam and a T-shirt printed New Zealand. He likes them. I bought jacket, cap, groves, socks, that made from Possum mixed with Wool in NZ for my daughter who lives in cold winter place, Detroit to study at a school of medicine. She got scholarship and saved me $70,000+ tuition each year. I admire her intelligence. She is a Californian so cold weather is tough for her.

I enjoy the morning mixed juice at hotels. I mixed carrot, celery, beets, apple, orange, cantaloup, watermelon, melon, .... whatever the hotel provided and mixed to be juice I created. Some hotels cut them in pieces, some hotel you have to cut yourself. It is healthy and yummy. I don't dink coffee or tea or ready-made orange juice like my fellow women did. I am Caffeine sensitive person, I couldn't sleep if I drink coffee after 11 a.m.

I learned many deserts such as Creme Brulee, Crab Ravioli, Croquette, Onion Tarte, and pavlova, .... from my American friends in this trip.

I learned Kiwi bird and Kea bird from the New Zealand bus drivers. They are very protective for these two birds. Kea bird is very intelligent who can imitate sound (many jokes about Kea bird). The Australia bus drivers talked about Cassowary bird which I bought a T-shirt. I bought the photo that I held a koala and a T-shirt of Koala in Cairns, Queensland, Australia and an "Indiana Jones hat" in Sydney.

It was good to travel with local bus drivers who taught us information about their countries.

Okay, they are "lamb cutlets" for my very first time. Yummy ! FYI, I am the ONLY person ordered this dish.

I like to try different "exotic foods" in different countries. Other women ate chicken or (beef) steaks. I told them I ate chicken all the times at KFC in USA. I won't eat chicken in NZ. I ate kangaroo, barramundi fish fillets and crocodile medallion (such a small piece of meat) in Sydney, Australia. The first kangaroo was cooked medium well-done which is tough, but 2nd time I ordered medium rare which is very delicious. I love barramundi fish fillets (very fine and tender) and ordered twice in Sydney.

Lots of fruits in Cairns, Queensland. I have fresh fruit and vegetable juice mixed by mixer at hotel restaurant every morning, including carrot, celery, watermelon, catelupe, beets, melon, orange and apple. I don't drink coffee or tea or orange juice that other women did. I want every food, drink, desert, ... are different from my regular food in USA. One night we went to Queen Victoria shopping mall and ate dinner on 3rd floor. (You probably know where it is). I bought Tim Tam at Woolworth supermarket on George Street in Sydney.

I enjoyed food very much in NZ and OZ. I have good memory of both countries.
