My eyesight - Astigmatism To all the bloggers: I hope you can use either "Bold" or larger size for your blogs or when responding my blogs because my eyesight is weak that caused by "Astigmatism" due to my age. I have seen optometrists but been told nothing they can do for me until when I have cataract surgery and replace by lenses. So far, I don't have cataract yet, so I have to compromise with my glasses on and off. I have near-sighted plus astigmatism in recent years. For younger bloggers, you may NOT know the difficulty of astigmatism. I will appreciate if you can either enlarge the size or "bold" your blogs. Thank you. Astigmatism - When the cornea has an irregular shape, it is called corneal astigmatism. When the shape of the lens is distorted, you have lenticular astigmatism. As a result of either type of astigmatism, your vision for both near and far objects appears blurry or distorted. Honesty is the best policy. |

Thanks for your advice. I have seen 3 different optometrists (different insurance) and they diagnosis me "Astigmatism". I dislike to see eye doctors because they use very bright light to exam me. Yes, I wear bifocals (but the line don't show) with transition lenses. I know when driving look up, when reading books look down. However, for some distance (not too far, not too short) reading computer monitor, I have difficulty. The words become blurry and glasses just won't work. I have to squint my eyes to read. It is uncomfortable. Incidentally, "Bold" the word is better than enlarge them. All three eye surgeons told me that I don't have cataract or glaucoma. Aging is slow progressive process. C'est la vie. Honesty is the best policy.

My computer monitor is a 48" TV screen. I can switch between TV program and internet by pressing a button on that TV remote. I appreciate you used "Bold" this time. Thank you. Honesty is the best policy.
