Weekend joke - The Alabama accent

Bubba and Billy Joe were on vacation, walking downtown, window shopping, and they see a sign on a store which reads, "Suits $5.99 each, shirts $1.99 each, trousers $2.49 each.

Bubba says to his pal, "Billy Joe, Look here! We could buy a whole gob of these, take 'em back to Alabama, sell 'em and make a fortune. Just let me do the talkin', 'cause if they hear your accent, they might think we're ignorant, and not wanna sell that stuff to us".

Now, I'll talk in a slow Texas drawl so's they don't know we is from Alabama ."

They go in and Bubba says with his best fake Texas drawl, "I'll take 50 of them suits at $5.99, 100 of them there shirts at $1.99, 50 pairs of them there trousers at $2.39. I'll back up my pickup and....."

"The owner of the shop interrupts, "Ya'll from Alabama, ain't ya?"

"Well...yeah," says a surprised Bubba. "How come ya'll knowed that?"

"Because this is a Dry-Cleaners."

P.S unis is short for universitys , its what we call colleges
If you put abbreviation of universities as univ. I would know much better.

My alma mater is USC that stand for "Univ. of Southern Calif."

Okay, you are an Aussie. I have been to Australia and New Zealand for 16 days with "Women Traveling Together" in Feb 2015. It was a wonderful trip with 18 women. Yes, I did see the words "G-Day, Mate" sign right at Sydney airport when we just arrived Sydney. I have many blogs talked about that trip with many pictures. Australia is completely different from New Zealand. NZ is peaceful, tranquility, and quiet country. Australia is full of energy, exciting, and has many exotic animals (kangaroo, crocodile, Koala, wallaby, ...., etc.). I ate kangaroo steaks twice and crocodile once. We visited Aboriginal tribe and saw them dancing and blew the didgeridoo. Of course, visited the famous Sydney Opera House inside.

I also met two Aussie couples (4 persons) at Polynesia Cultural Center in Hawaii when I was vacationing there for my birthday in Aug 2016. I wore a T-shirt with a "Cassowary" picture on it. One of these Aussie guys said "Cassowary" to me. I said "Yes, I went to Australia and New Zealand last year (2015)". So, I asked them if I can join them for a day and I had a wonderful day with them at Polynesia Cultural Center in Hawaii.

I have good impression on Aussies.

classy lady your right we have to learn to laugh at ourselfs again , but if a white guy made that about a minority , the left and its media allies whould go into melt down mode , and there be riots in the streets and at all the unis , its a two way thing . thanks for letting me comment
I have to correct your English vocabularies. Red are incorrect, blue is correct.

your right should be "you're right" = you are right.

laugh at ourselfs should be "ourselves"

whould go into melt down mode should be "would go"

there be riots should be "there will be riots"

all the unis should be "units"

its a two way thing should be "it's a two way thing" = it is a two way thing.

Although sometimes we made typos but you ought to know the differences about correct vocabularies. I have learned English spelling and grammar from textbooks not from street language.

However, you got it right on "the left and its media allies" that its mean "his, her, their, ..." so you are right on that its word in the sentence.

I am a Calif licensed pharmacist, I seek for accuracy. Thank you for your understanding and I don't mean to hurt your feeling.

If you were born and raised in Alabama state, please don't feel insulted. It is just a joke.
