North Korea 'fires' missile over Japan

Japan condemns launch of ballistic missile, which fell into waters off Hokkaido island, as an 'unprecedented threat'.

North Korea has fired a ballistic missile that flew over Japan before plunging into the northern Pacific Ocean, in a step termed by the Japanese prime minister as a "grave threat".

The launch appeared to be the first to cross over Japan since 2009, and comes amid ongoing annual military drill being carried out between the US and its close ally in the region, South Korea.

The South's joint chiefs of staff said the missile travelled abouit 2,700km and reached a maximum height of 550km as it flew over the northern Japanese island of Hokkaido and landed in the sea.

The projectile was launched from the Sunan region near the North Korean capital, Pyongyang, just before 6am local time on Tuesday (21:00 GMT on Monday), the South Korean military said.

    Quoting kookaburra3:
HOORAY for president trump hes the first president to stand up too north korea and not appease them , countries like australia , america and the uk lost lots of men defending south korea from communism , and the invasion of north korea and china in my opinion its time for china to stop sitting on the fence and to apply stronger pressure as there one of their only allies , thanks for allowing me to comment .
I am not a fan to Trump. I don't like him for his bully attitude, aggressive behavior, bad temperament, narcissistic personality, .... Please refer to my many previous blogs.

However, North Korea leader is a very difficult to deal dictator. He blocked the outside news and slaved his people. The worst thing is North Korea is a communist country. For all those narcissistic dictators, they all put their pictures and sculptures in the public places, e.g. Mao Jer-Dong, Kim Jong-Un's father and grandfather, Saddam Hussein, .... and many others.

You have different political concept from me.

When the breaking news of Japan Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe, condemned North Korea launched a missile that flew over the Japan air space in North and fell into the sea, I was watching CNBC. The time was after 2 pm Pacific coast time on Aug. 28, the stock market already closed. I saw the aftermarket reaction was the stocks plummeted.

I don't know what president Trump will do against North Korea.
