Oprah Winfrey - does speech provide clues about presidential run? During the opening of the 2018 Golden Globe Awards programme, host Seth Meyers toyed with the idea of a possible Oprah Winfrey presidential campaign. When Winfrey took the stage later that night, the speech she gave was no joke. There are reports emerging in the US that she is actively entertaining the notion. For years the queen of US talk shows, she has produced and acted in movies and now runs a cable TV channel. Her speech at the Globes sounded an awful lot like a presidential candidate on the campaign stump - polished and effective. Here are a few reasons why. Personal touch "In 1964, I was a little girl sitting on the linoleum floor of my mother's house in Milwaukee, watching Anne Bancroft present the Oscar for best actor at the 36th Academy Awards. She opened the envelope and said five words that literally made history: 'The winner is Sidney Poitier.'" Authenticity has become a buzzword in American politics of late, ever since Donald Trump skewered a field of polished politicians on his way to the White House in 2016. Winfrey opened her speech on Sunday night by recalling what it was like when she was a , watching the first black person win a major Academy Award. The "humble roots" narrative is a staple for many an accomplished politician, a way of grounding candidates to ordinary Americans despite their rise to the nation's elite. By reminding viewers of her childhood spent on "linoleum floors" - in Wisconsin, a rust-belt swing state, no less - Winfrey hits the mark. Statement of purpose "What I know for sure is that speaking your truth is the most powerful tool we all have." Truth against power isn't exactly a new theme in US politics, but it is an effective one. Mr Trump campaigned on his own version. He was the outsider railing against career politicians who, as he said in his inaugural address, "reaped the rewards of government while the people have borne the cost". After a tip of the hat to a free press that uncovers "the absolute truth", Winfrey broadened her message to include women from all walks of life - domestic employees, farmhands, factory workers, doctors and soldiers - who have "endured years of abuse and assault". If Winfrey were to run, her adversaries would try to characterise her as a Hollywood insider, out of touch with the real world. Passages like the above show how she might try to position herself as the voice of a movement. Call to action "I want all the girls watching here and now to know that a new day is on the horizon. And when that new day finally dawns, it will be because of a lot of magnificent women, many of whom are right here in this room tonight, and some pretty phenomenal men, fighting hard to make sure that they become the leaders who take us to the time when nobody ever has to say, 'Me too' again." Might as well print the bumper stickers and the yard signs now. Every campaign needs a catchy slogan, and Winfrey's "a new day is on the horizon" fits the bill. So does "for a brighter morning", which she tossed out a sentence earlier. Watch the speech again, this time with the sound turned off. Notice the faces of the celebrities in the audience, hanging on Winfrey's every word. She made a connection with them - and, likely, with many of the viewers at home.  Honesty is the best policy. |

China does have the challenge of a population that is 4 or 5 time larger than the US, but also, when one looks at the alliance, that contribute to the wealth growth of china, it has an impact on the dynamics. And offsets the ratio's in various ways when looking at the "big picture" and the type of growth building relationships that are currently being forged. Oprah's net worth is $2.9 Billion. You can research it like I did. She has her own magazine and has a new job reporting for the news show 60 Mins. When she speaks, people are inspired and listen. So I feel why does she need to run for President for power? Part of running for Pres. is to gain Power and become more famous beside meeting World Leaders. She is already really World Famous and provides a lot of charity to Africa to a school she started. She's won many awards as well. She can be influential by just continuing her own Work on TV., in movies, producing, on her magazine and giving to charities. That's the difference is a "position of power" vs "individual wealthy of a few billion". Jeff Bezos of Amazon, is now worth over $101 Billion - he is working on changing economic in commercial sectors, (?? good or bad)... as well as changing every day business Technology and Space Technology. Google is changing what is everyday "computing" by the citizen population. America has to make sure, that the Courts are not overly populated with Right Wingnuts... and it has to restore the integrity of our Government Organization, Departments and Divisions... of which Trump has failed to staff and has denigrated them on a daily basis, trying to destroy them. Thus so... its not about "vanity" power, but the power to preserve and build the nation in the name of its Constitution.... Trump has damaged so very much domestically and internationally and it will take strong policy and Trillion of Dollars to pay to fix the damages that he has done. But it takes the Liberal minded and Multi cultural respecting America People to "exterminate" once and for all the Right Wingnut ideology". What we are seeing is the last hooray dash of the Confederate Racist Bigots in this Trump Agenda. It may not be visible to some, but America is on a path to demolish the vile savage mentality of the delusional white supremacist ignorance. They have been like a deadly cancer in the American society for 100's of years, and its time in the 21st Century to exterminate it and build our system to ensure our laws prevent any element of them continually invoking their greed and vile savagery into our system. Oprah may or may not be the person, but.. her record of life works, position her far better than anything that exist in the Right wing system. It's a hard choice for her I'm sure, beause she certainly knows the stress and challenge it will involve... but in that type of choice. it matters how one values the future, more than how they value relaxing in their wealth. Trump has sought to personally profit himself, by his vile mentality of not paying taxes and desperately wants to make laws where he does not have to pay taxes. He is among the most vile things to exist in modern day society, along with the republican congress. They are 'inhumane' and driven by delusion of white madness, and greed by any means, at any expense. Things that live by such means has to be "exterminated" in the process to make them void and bring penalty and punishment for their vile greed driven racist based treason against the very Constitution of this United States. They are the "enemy" within, that insults the Constitution and desecrates the very Declaration of Independence that is the base that supports our Constitution. One does not live with "evil" in ones house... to maintain the house and make and keep it as a home, one has to "expel and exterminate evil from within ones home" .. and that is done by policy and process, law and justice as a Democratic Nation bound by laws to support and promote its own Constitution.

However, we have heard so often that Trump "inner circle" talked about Trump mental illness, including the Secretary of State, Rex W. Tillerson, had said "Fu*king stupid". Steve Bannon: "The downfall of Trump's chief strategist. Mr. Trump said. “When he was fired, he not only lost his job, he lost his mind.” So, Bannon has "fell from grace". Many of Trump's advisors doubted Trump's capacity and capability to be an U.S. President. Many psychiatrists and psychologists diagnosed Trump's mental illness. Some of the Republican senators quit to be re-elect when their term is expired. I live far from Washington DC, but those words have been circulated and spread among internet and TV. How can people vote for a president like Trump? What in the world people voted for Trump? The stock market ignored those problems but keep going up, up and up. Go figure!!! Does a president's personality, attitude, behavior, language, ... not matter any more?? Trump has vendetta with Obama, whatever Obama did, Trump had to reverse them, e.g. French Global Climate Change Agreement, Obama Care, Kelong oil pipeline, tax reform to reduce tax bracket from 35 to 21 % for rich and corporation. I have no idea what U.S. will turn into in the future, a sick country?? The Republican Party is nothing but a REMAKE of The Confederacy of the 1800's. They have been fighting the same Civil War within Congress for over 153 yrs. The fiction will meet with a fall. China has declared to cut back on buying U.S. Securities, Pakistan has made agreement to trade with China, using Chinese Money, NOT the U.S. Dollar. IF China see's where it can profit more and get a better % return, they will DUMP a % of American securities and the American dollar will loose some value, which is beneficial to China, to move closer to having prominent position for its currency in the reserve currency basket. When it comes to Respect for humaneness, She "wins" hands down over what we currently have occupying the office. She has a long track record of dealing with people in a dignified manner, and she has "NO" clouds of "washing money" or "being impassioned with devotion to Russian or to Putin. She certainly understand the "dignity and integrity that is mandatory within the office" the same as did President Obama, in how he represented the integrity and dignity of the American People. She also has been a long time supporter of disenfranchised people. And she has a long history of respecting "Diversity and Gender". As to policy matters of Administration, she certainly knows the need and responsibility to "fill government positions and offices with the people needed"... And she does not push some madness of saying "I'm the ONLY ONE silliness" that Trump promotes. she is not into being a showcase puppet, that pushes a "blind party agenda" and she is definitely an Avid reader !!! It is not likely anyone would get to bring her some "dumb bill" and she blindly signs it. IF she got in office her first jobs would need to be a massive list of Executive Order and follow them up with cementing the choices into law. And that will be the task of voiding out the stuff Trump has sought to destroy. By 2020 we will have lost Trillions in what it will take to correct the messes that is being engaged by Trump, to reinstate the policies that has long served to have made America the unique nation it had become, BEFORE Trump came and send us in a backwards down-spiral. The world is exposed and made aware under Trump of to the Rabid mentality that drives the Right Winger, and by the time Trump is removed, the world will know that the Republican System and its Party is an albatross (A metaphor for a dead weight or burden that one must carry, especially when the burden is not a literal one but a stigma of some kind that one cannot easily discard or throw off) that America must rid itself of. I don't think she will have a very hard time rebuilding "Diplomacy", though it won't come quickly, but through honest regard for what is diplomacy, it will be restored in a working fashion that does not leave America at a global disadvantage. Because Trump has destroyed diplomacy!!! And made America and outcast and continues to do so, while other nations build new alliances that result to become costly and of great challenge to America. It will take a lot of work, and the right choices of people in leadership to build back the Trust that has been damaged and practically destroyed in the global system. I think she would be wise and hear the voices and passions of American young people, and INVEST in them, and make a pathway for them to build a better future. While helping them work with young people around the globe to build better societies that IS NOT driven and damaged by the historical white man led "wild man American style historical greed". The promotion of "equality" will be centered above all such craziness of greed programming. That is Civil Equality as well as Economic Equilibrium among people. We would ultimately see a drive to improve wages to meet with the claim of high standards of what American promotes of concept; she will push for it to be the standard reality for and of American people. Working with Other Nations for improvements in global economics, will at the very least be a turn in the right direction for all nations to come and embrace. We will get respect restored to our Governance Departments and Divisions, Respect restored to our Institutions and Organizations, and respect restored to how we craft and how we build and how we implement policies. The long history of contribution by Black people in building America, is well documented even if not taught in the basic school system, but now that exposure has brought out these truths, via the massive data on the internet, she like President Obama, will be one who pushes for a better society that CARES for its people and CARES for the ways we work within the world of nations and societies. She understands, just as MLK said... "that the March of Black People for the Respect of Civil Rights for "All People", helped save the soul of America. It freed many liberal minded white people from repression and oppression's, as it did in making pathway for black people and people of all ethnicities to have their civil rights respected in the system of governance and law. Life has shown the devastation of the world peace during the Bush Administration, which left the Middle East in major conflicts, while the end results also left a economy on a global levels in tatters. The Obama Administration brought us back from the devastation's and set us on the path of stability both economically, and pushed to restore diplomacy as a value base in the American Ideological premise. Then came Trump, setting us back to trying to recreate the 1950's, in a world and society that has embraced 21st Century models of growth and progress in their own rights, as independent self respecting nations. Yet, Trump and his fantasies of the old order of white man dominance has come and tried to recreate in every way, the ideals of the Confederacy and interject that madness upon the American Nation. It will take someone who is widely respected and well known for "positive messages" to turn things around and bring us back into the 21st Century and move us forward to become up to date in how we live and how we progress. It will take someone with a character type of "INCLUSIVENESS" of which is certainly a basis of mentality in how Oprah's works and character has long championed and promoted. The force and powers of black people has always been the basis of American growth, from the slavery fields, that produced the wealth American came to be known for, to the dignity of Civil Rights which much of the world has long respected and many have been inspired to pursue and promote in their own countries around the world. Black people learned from the struggles of their own situation and conditions as well as learned from others around the world, such as Gandhi to pursue "equality and respect" by as peaceful means as possible, in the face of "savage brutality being acted against them". As the Bible says, the last shall be first. It does not mean as if one is over another, it means as the last shall .. be those whom lead us to a better world and a more respectful society for "All People"... For NONE in America, has been savagely treated to the level that was done upon and to and against black people, therefore, it is none in America who knows the vile that man does to other man, and lived through it to move the nation forward in humane respect and civil equality. Thus so, is it not unthinkable, that a black person, can and will again be a force that leads America forward, in a building a system that RESPECT PEOPLE, and has a great reverence for respecting the dignity and integrity of All persons. It may have taken the Monster Mentality of Trump and Republican Agenda, to make the world and society, see and know that the works of Obama was always in the best interest of the people, not only in American, but Around the World. And this mess that has resulted from Trump Administration and the vile of the Right Winger Republican system, has exposed to the world, the inhumanity and disregard and a seeming aim to return to the savagery of white man led greed pursuits, that has no regard or respect for the humanity of individuals. The kill some people, health care bill pushed by republicans, followed by a massive give away to the wealthy, while complaining about the cost to take care of the health of the people, which cost far less than what was given to the wealthy in a criminal tax program promoted by Republican Madness. Yes,... She could be a force that helps turn America around and help bring it back into the 21st century and build a system of nation that respects its people, and give and make opportunity for its young people, to have both voice and opportunity. For they are the group who will make the future become better for mankind. If we see "Oprah For President"... we certainly can see means for a brighter future for Americans and Better Diplomacy promoted around the world, and a return to the respect of and for the humanity of people. It might well be fitting for America, to come to see the first woman President of America, to be a black woman.... who is a person that respects the global community of people. It has been black women who nurtured both her children as supported her men through a long history of abuses, they cared for, raised and fed white society, and took care of their homes and taught their kids values, (often did not show up until those kids were old enough to leave home and get from under the bias and bigotry of their own family, and many of those kids vowed never to return to such madness they came to know from and within their own family) It's like the Movies, THE HELP, where it was the stability of black women, that was featured and shown to be those who toiled and stood up for dignity, while being under every manner of abuses, it was black women who were being violated by vile impregnation's for centuries, but raised the kids with love and care, even when they were the product of his vile impregnation's, she embraced them without discriminating in any way toward them nor upon them. While his vile impregnation's, sought to turn his own kids produced by his vile impregnation's, into slave for the sake of his greed for profit. The women had to protect the same kids, from their own father who was the one who violated by vile impregnation's from the one whose seed they came from, she had to protect those kids from his inhumane savagery and greed driven madness and vile vanity. She had to protect these same kids from being again being violated by vile impregnation's by their own birth father, who created them by the act of vile impregnation's, from themselves being violated by vile impregnation's repeatedly by the same vile men. She had to contend with white women who for centuries "denied what she knew" of her own husband's vile impregnation's, while talking about family values, while she supported her husband selling his own children into slavery to other slavers. She had to deal with the same white man, and white women, who stood to break up her family, and then put down black people, for the long history of broken family, which were set in motion by the acts of white people and the inhumanity they did against and upon black people and the mixed children that his vile impregnation's created. There is a reality that is known within and unto black women, that is far different from any other people in America, and it is black women, who have shown over many centuries the dedication to teach and raise children under the most dire of situations and conditions. I don't like to repeat the same things that I already said 4 times. On Sept 6, 2017 - President Trump said "We have a lot to discuss, including the fact that there is a new and seems to be record-breaking hurricane heading right toward Florida and Puerto Rico and other places,” he told reporters. “We’ll see what happens. We’ll know in a very short period of time. But it looks like it could be something that will be not good. Believe me, not good.” On Sep 29, 2017 - Puerto Rico, Donald Trump said this morning, Puerto Rico is "an island surrounded by water. Big water. Ocean water." OMG, God helps us Americans who voted for Trump. We are not uneducated kinder-gardeners that need Trump to educate us the hurricane Irma will be "not good, believe me, not good. We don't need Trump to tell us what an island is surrounded by water, big water, ocean water. Trump sounded we are bunch of idiots, morons, stupid people. I was furious. USA is a "Free world leader", how can we have a president said things like these? How can we have a president said "if I stand on the 5th Avenue and shoot somebody, and I won't lose a voter." "grab them by the pu**y (censored word), you can do anything", "Disarm Hillary bodyguard's weapons and see what will happen to her". It is public threaten people's life, humiliation to women, and advocate violence. How can people voted for him?? Kelly gave examples of Trump insulting women. Trump later said that Kelly was so angry at him that “there was blood coming out of her eyes.” He then said it about a male news anchor too. Trump also said “out of her, wherever” and the media interpreted that as if he meant “having her period.” He also insulted and tweeted "Morning Joe" hostess that there was blood on her face after her plastic surgery. I love USA, I am a patriot. I believe "words do matter". Trump is a narcissistic, he can't take any criticism. So, why he criticizes people. He is supposed to love Americans without discrimination on race, gender, religion, and press as Constitution First Amendment. When Las Vegas massacre, Trump didn't say any "gun control", he only replied to reporters "We'll see". Every life is precious. I don't like to see the massacre again and again in schools, theater, shopping mall, concert, .... No more killing. No more machine guns, semi-automatic rifles, ... I can't believe our president said those things and can get away from them. If Trump can be U.S. President, anyone who was born in USA can. Trump is obsesses "women with blood", advocates "gum violence", narcissistic, thin-skinned, ..... Women have "period" every month, Trump is obsessed about that. I am a health care personnel, I know women's period is the natural thing. Only the childish Trump obsesses about that. People voted for him because they are stupid. I watched the Golden Globe last night (Sunday, Jan 7th, 2018 ) on TV. Almost everyone wore "black" dresses to protest the "sexual harassment" from rich and powerful men, e.g. Harvey Weinstein, Kevin Spacey, .... However, implied President Trump. After Oprah's speech last night, it seems "Oprah Winfrey 2020" is in the cards. Honesty is the best policy.
