A Canadian women's hockey player, Jocelyne Larocque, apparently unhappy with winning a silver medal after being defeated by the U.S. team abruptly took off the medal during the ceremony after the game. The Canadians, who had pushed the Americans around for much of the game and taken penalties for it, wept on the ice as they accepted their silver medals. Canada's Jocelyne Larocque took off her silver medal immediately after receiving it. She apologizes for removing silver medal on podium. She said “Please understand this was a moment in time that I truly wish I could take back,” said Jocelyne Larocque. “I take seriously being a role model to young girls and representing our country. My actions did not demonstrate the values our team, myself and my family live and for that I am truly sorry.” Drama.... Honesty is the best policy.
