Etruscan tombs and necropolis of Sovana Oct 24, 2018

On Oct 24, we visited ancient Etruscan toms and necropolis of Sovana that existed since 3,000 years ago. In other words, it is 1,000 years (or 10 century) B.C. (before Christ). Some archaeologist discovered this large area of burial sites. You can tell from the size of the tombs with mermaid decoration were for very rich people, but the simple, small tombs are for poor people. I felt spooky with tombs, so didn't take many pictures. Photo 3 is the path that students walk from their village to schools.

The bus drove us away the tombs and went to Pienza city in Tuscany. I had a picture in front of a church (unknown name) in the afternoon.

My Samsung smartphone has recorded all the date and location where I took the pictures. With the information and the itinerary, I can post the blogs to show you when and where I traveled.

Travel with a group, I need to catch-up with rest of people. I don't want to let anyone wait for me.
