Trump orders 300 burgers for White House banquet, says he bought 1,000 Donald Trump laid on hundreds of burgers amid a feast of fast food for Clemson University’s football team at the White House on Monday evening. Amid a government shutdown now in its 25th day – the longest in history – many presidential staff remain furloughed, forcing Mr Trump to set the menu for the visit of the Clemson Tigers, who won the national championship last year. Mr Trump, a fast food lover, said he even paid for their meal himself. He did not disclose the tab. “We ordered American fast food, paid for by me. Lots of hamburgers, lots of pizza,” Mr Trump said after returning to the White House from a trip to New Orleans. “We have some very large people that like eating, so I think we’re going to have a little fun.” An impressive – and highly unusual – White House smorgasbord greeted the players. Silver trays held stacks of wrapped burgers from Wendy’s. Also on offer were boxed burgers from McDonald’s, including Big Macs. White House cups bearing the presidential seal held the fries, served on candlelit dining tables. Pizzas, some topped with olives and tomatoes, were also on the menu. Silver bowls held the condiments, and stacks of white plates sat nearby. Several young men were spotted eating multiple burgers at the standup tables dotting the East Room. Asked what his favorite food on display was, Mr Trump, stood in front of an 1869 portrait of Abraham Lincoln, told reporters: “I like it all, it’s all good stuff. Great American food … I like em all, if it’s American I like, it’s all American stuff, but it’s good stuff.” He continued: “But I’ll bet you as much food as we have – we have pizzas, we have 300 hamburgers, many many french fries, all of our favourite foods – I wanna see what’s here when we leave, because I don’t think it’s gonna be much.” After showing off the food in front of the press, Mr Trump addressed Clemson’s football team from a stage in the East Room, immediately praising one of its players. “I wanna be the agent of that tall, handsome quarterback,” Mr Trump said to laughs from the audience. “Six foot seven, they say great athlete, and he’s accurate. That’s nice, great job.” Mr Trump later praised himself for selecting the menu, and upped the number of burgers he claimed to have provided from 300 to 1,000. “I had a choice – do we have no food for you or do we give you some little quick salads that the first lady will make along with … the second lady,” Mr Trump said. My opinion is we should have "bipartisan" system but the president won the election on "popular vote" instead of "Electoral College". We know Trump failed on popular vote but won on Electoral College vote. We don't need "Electoral College" that is too complicated that depends on each state electoral college vote. Popular vote is good enough. Honesty is the best policy.

If you like "one party only" country, you'd better go live in China. They have only one party, the Communist. They don't have presidential election. Their government is always right. Chinese people are silent lambs, no voice. China banned Google search, Gmail, Google maps, Google translate, YouTube videos, .... They don't have FaceBook, Twitter, Instagram, .... Their government blocked the news that might harmful their images, such as June 4th protest at Tienanmen Square, a guy stood in front of tank, the killing of Fa-Lun Gong (法輪功) people without a legitimate reason. Their government blocked or silenced to talking about their "Cultural Revolution" for 10 years. If you Google "the top 10 dictators who kill people". The top #1 is Mao Jer-Dong who killed the most people in human history. The top #2 is German Adolph Hitler who killed million of Jewish people in Europe, but at least, Hitler killed other country's people. Mao killed his own people multi-millions. He used the teenagers rebel personalities, used poor people to kill rich people. The killing last for a decade. The burned the history books made their people stupid. Because smart people will know what is right and to resist the killing. How much you love a communist system, a one political party system?? Knowledge is powerful. Without Google search, you can't know the outside world or inside their country really happened. Chinese government don't like foreigners, limited foreigners' many rightful paths to communicate with outside, to open accounts, credit card, social medias, ......... How much you like for a one party country? Go live in North Korea, China, North Vietnam, .... You will find out the truth of "how bad of a communist world".... I don't like communist what-so-ever. Bipartisan system maybe look like disagree each other, but it prevents dictatorship and vote for the president who you think is better for the country. You are wasting my time to explain to you what about bipartisan and communist one political party. Honesty is the best policy.

We are "Democracy" country, we have bipartisan system to "checks and balances" the POTUS' wrongdoing such as dictatorship, destruction of justice, benefit for himself or his family, using campaign donation to cover-up hush money payments for at least two women. In democracy country, nobody above the laws. I also can't agree to use more guns to prevent gun violence. I can't agree with NRA either. I want we learn from Australians, their government bought back rifles and semi-automatic weapons, ... and they have had "gun control" ever since. I want USA to have "peace". Not using more guns to prevent gun violence. Enough gun violence already. You can go to "Communist" countries, if you don't like Democracy. Honesty is the best policy.

You asked "why not fast food?" Because fast food is high in sodium, saturated fat, trans fat, and cholesterol, it isn't something you should eat often. Eating too much over a long period of time can lead to health problems such as high blood pressure, heart disease, and obesity. ... It's helpful to remember that with fast food, moderation is important. Honesty is the best policy.

President Trump made a joke about fast food, and not everyone’s lovin’ it. While much has been made of the Trump-funded fast food smorgasbord the White House offered up to the college football champion Clemson Tigers on Monday, POTUS’s crack about first lady Melania Trump and second lady Karen Pence making salads has some critics calling him sexist. “So I had a choice,” Trump told the gathered players of catering the meal during the government shutdown. “Do we have no food for you, because we have a shutdown, or do we give you some little quick salads that the first lady will make, along with the second lady, they’ll make some salads. “And I said, you guys aren’t into salads. Or do I go out … and send out for about 1,000 hamburgers. Big Macs. So we actually did that.” While the calorific spread — which featured food from Burger King, Wendy’s and McDonald’s — did include some salads in plastic containers, Trump’s implication that his wife and the vice president’s wife would be stuck in the kitchen making salads for burly, meat-crazed football players fell flat with some. CNN’s Erin Burnett and Joan Walsh also found the comment to be sexist. “It seems to me like the president will not be happy until there is not one single female Republican voter in the country,” Walsh said during Monday’s broadcast of Burnett’s show. “It’s incredibly sexist. He shouldn’t talk about the first lady in that way. We aren’t all here to make salads for men.” When conservative commentator Scott Jennings objected — “I certainly didn’t take his comments to be sexist,” he said in Trump’s defense — Burnett fired back. “How in the world do you not perceive that as sexist, to say the assumption that his wife’s gonna go make salads for a bunch of football players?” she responded. “What is she, like, the cook? “I’m not over-reading it,” she added. “He made a joke that was sexist about women.” Honesty is the best policy.

Amazing!! Football team has been invited to White House for a fast-food dinner banquet from McDonald, Wendy's and Burger King. Trump even paid for those fast foods, i.e. hamburgers, fries, and pizzas with soft drinks. LOL, LOL. Honesty is the best policy.
