Trump demands border wall, slams investigations in State of the Union speech 9:25 p.m.: Trump made a veiled reference to Russia special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into possible Russian collusion the presidential election, suggesting that they as well as probes by congressional committees. Trump frequently discusses the investigations, which he describes as a "witch hunt," but the State of the Union was an unexpected venue for that issue to come up. “An economic miracle is taking place in the United States – and the only thing that can stop it are foolish wars, politics, or ridiculous partisan investigations,” he said. 9:30 p.m. Trump's reference to the investigations was intended to suggest that the Mueller probe and other investigations could stymie the health of the economy. It has been 2 years since Trump inauguration, we haven't seen his income tax reports as he had promised during 2016 campaign. After House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi told Trump to delay his "State of Union" speech, after reopened government shutdown, Trump gets to have his speech on Capitol Hill tonight. There was a striking island of white in the audience for President Trump’s State of the Union address, with House Democratic women — many of them dressed in the color in a nod to the American suffragist movement — sitting together in the packed chamber, in a celebration of their historic numbers in Congress and also as a protest to Mr. Trump’s policies. Trump said "We have more women in workforce than ever before". All those Congresswomen including Nancy Pelosi stood up, applauded, laughed and chanted "USA, USA".
