Imagine by John Lennon (The Beatles)

Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell (bel*ow) us
Above us only (sk*y)

Imagine all the people
Living for today (ah ah ah)

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to (k*ll) or die for
And no religion, too

Imagine all the people
Living life in peace

You may say that (I*m) a dreamer
But (I*m) not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man

Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world

You may say that (I*m) a dreamer
But (I*m) not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one

I am often asked to sing this song at the KTV's here in China. After so many years, I still find it impossible to get all the way through without shedding a tear for a dream I still hold in my heart and yet, one which I know has no chance of ever coming true.

I have no clue why Chinese FriendFinder doesn't allow me to put (below), (sky), (kill), (I'm) x 4 times. I can understand k*ll not allow, but what was wrong with the words: below, sky, I'm ... Those words are very common used words, no offense words.

Sigh, ....

I am frustrated with Chinese FriendFinder censor machine that deleted some words of "Imagine" lyrics. I have repeatedly at least 4 times to correct the lyrics. It came back 4 times that deleted those same words. So, I put those words in (parenthesis) to avoid been deleted. Frustration. Wasted my time.

I think everyone knows this song "Imagine" that sang by John Lennon, a famous member in "The Beatles".

John Winston Ono Lennon MBE was an English singer, songwriter, and peace activist who co-founded the Beatles, the most commercially successful band in the history of popular music. He and fellow member Paul McCartney formed a much-celebrated songwriting partnership.

On the evening of Dec 8, 1980, Lennon was shot and killed by Mark David Chapman in the archway of the Dakota, his residence in New York City. Lennon had just returned from Record Plant Studio with his wife, Yoko Ono.

After sustaining four major gunshot wounds, Lennon was pronounced dead on arrival at Roosevelt Hospital. He was 40 years old. Shortly after local news stations reported Lennon's death, crowds gathered at Roosevelt Hospital and in front of the Dakota. The first media report of Lennon's death to a U.S. national audience was announced by sportscaster Howard Cosell, on ABC's Monday Night Football.

Mr. John Lennon was a peace advocator. If you sing along with him in this song, you understand he was a peaceful person. How could a crazy man assassinate him? His wife is a Japanese woman, Yoko Ono. Why the peaceful man died so young? The world lost a talent musician and peace advocator.

From my interpretation of this song as an atheist, as peace advocator I often quote this song in many of my blogs. Listen to this song "Imagine there's no heaven, .. No hell below us, Above us only sky" "Imagine there's no countries, ... Nothing to kill or die for, And no religion, too. "Imagine all the people
Living life in peace. "You may say that I'm a dreamer, But I'm not the only one.

Every word in this song lyrics touched my heart. It is what I wanted for the world, for all the people. Don't believe in religion doesn't mean you are a bad person. I don't need religion to be a good person. I have good conscience, good heart, a peaceful mind. I don't believe in violence, I refuse to own a gun even I can afford to buy it. It is my principle, my philosophy. I want to enjoy traveling, to see the world, fulfill my "bucket list". My daughter is 31 and an OBGYN doctor, my son is in computer science. My responsibility is done. I don't hate anyone. I love travel, music, movie, .... I don't need a religion to teach me how to be a good person because i have my integrity. I trust myself than a priest, or a pastor, or the Pope. I don't go to church for Mass any more, but I am a good person. I am a peaceful atheist.
