Texas residents are ending up with $5,000 electric bills after the winter storms February was Chinese lunar New Year's day, I received a t*xt from my da*ghter said "Happy Chinese New Year!!" and next t*xt she said "It's icy here". My da*ghter has been working at a hospital as an OB/GYN MD in Texas since late June of 2020. She has worked in Detroit since her MD graduation in June 20' (I've attended every her graduation) for her residency MD program for a year. Then she moved Northern California for a year, then moved 2 New York for another year. T* be a MD is a long journey. In my impression of Texas is a warm, h*t, dry state, full of oil wells and cows. This year the winter storm in Texas has changed my image of Texas. I watched the TV, internet news, Texas is in crisis. Here is some summary of Texas winter storms that never happened in the past century. Some Texans were billed $1,000 a day for electricity during last week's frigid weather. The wholesale pr*ce of electricity surged ,000 % as demand increased and supply fell offline. Texas residents endured days without power during last week's winter storms are facing a new obstacle: Electricity bills over $5,000 for less than a week of energy.
