Japan donated 1.24 million doses of AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine

Taiwan was a Covid success story. Now it's fighting its biggest outbreak since May 2021. Taiwan had only 7 deaths in 2020 when the whole world was in Covid-19 crisis. However, the virus came to Taiwan in May 2021 with rapidly spread. The outbreak was first detected among pilots, but cases have since been found in the community. Because the political differences in between China and Taiwan, China has obstructed Germany to BioNTech (BNT) vaccines directly Taiwan. China wants Taiwan purchase vaccines from China. But Taiwanese don't trust China, so Taiwan didn't order the vaccines that Made in China.

Japan has purchased extra vaccines, so Japan had many meetings discuss should Japan donate vaccines Taiwan. Yes, Japan donated 1.24 million doses of AstraZeneca Coronavirus vaccines Taiwan and shipped them very fast. Japan remember how Taiwanese donated the top #1 m*ney and the fastest. Just from private is over 6.8 billion NT (New Taiwanese Yuen) to Japan for 8.9 magnitude Earthquake, Tsunami, and Nuclear radiation in March 2011. Taiwan has also sent a rescue team and relief goods to help Japan. Yes, Japan appreciated Taiwan for the good deed help Japan for natural disaster a decade ago. Japan shipped 1.24 million doses of AZ Coronavirus 2 Taiwan FREE OF CHARGE for their gratitude. Thank you, Japan.

USA will send vaccines Taiwan soon, but we don't know "when" or "how many doses". Senator Mitt Romney urges U.S. secretary of state, Antony Blinken to ship Coronavirus vaccines to Taiwan. Taiwan is the top #1 Semi-conductor (3 nano-meter chips) in the world. Taiwan makes the smallest and fastest chips in the world, Taiwan Semi-conductor company.

Thank you, Japan for your friendship toward Taiwan.

Taiwan's president, Tsai Ing-Wen, also called Japan to express her concern of "mudslide" in Atami city, Japan lately.

    Quoting ben4567:
Japan banned the AZ vaccine in Japan citing it was not safe for the Japanese citizen. So Japan donated the unwanted AZ vaccine to Taiwan. So far, there is no Taiwan government personnel are willing to take the AZ vaccine.
As far as I know, the AZ vaccine that Japan purchased are ALMOST expired and the AZ vaccine may cause "Thrombosis" for pregnant women and elderly.

There is a good news for "Made in Taiwan" vaccines have good results and passed the 2nd period experiment.

By the way, I live in California, USA.

The friendship in between Japan and Taiwan is getting better. Taiwan helped Japan for the natural disaster a decade ago. I heard many stories about Taiwanese tourists went to Japan traveling. When the Japanese restaurant owners heard they came from Taiwan, the restaurant owner gave extra soup, or food to Taiwanese customers and bowed their heads to express their gratitude of Taiwanese generosity in 2011.

This year Japan helps Taiwan to fight for Coronavirus pandemic disease.
