Paxlovid - treatment for COVID-19 As we all know from the news that CCP announced to reopen China on January 8, 2023 while China has severe COVID -19 spreading that worse than since 2020 for 3 years. I am a retired California licensed pharmacist, so I would like to introduce a new medicine called "Paxlovid". Paxlovid is the latest COVID-19 treatment that’s been all over the news. The drug was granted an emergency use authorization (EUA) by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in December for anyone ages 12 and older who weighs at least 88 pounds, and is at high risk for severe disease. Paxlovid (the brand name for the drug, which is made up of two generic medications—Nirmatrelvir and Ritonavir) isn’t the only pill available to treat COVID-19. Paxlovid developed by Pfizer, has a lot of positives: It had an 89% reduction in the risk of hospitalization and death in unvaccinated people in the clinical trial that supported the EUA, a number that was high enough to prompt the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to prioritize it over other COVID-19 treatments. Paxlovid consists of two separate medications packaged together. When you take your three-pill dose, two of those pills will be Nirmatrelvir, which inhibits a key enzyme that the COVID virus requires in order to make functional virus particles. After Nirmatrelvir treatment, the COVID virus that is released from the cells is no longer able to enter uninfected cells in the body, which, in turn, stops the infection. The other is Ritonavir, a drug that was once used to treat HIV/AIDS but is now used to boost levels of antiviral medicines. As a COVID-19 treatment, Ritonavir essentially shuts down Nirmatrelvir’s metabolism in the liver, so that it doesn’t move out of your body as quickly, which means it can work longer—giving it a boost to help fight the infection. Our USA to provide free mRNA vaccines to China but they refused. Germany also wants to donate AZT vaccine to China, but China rejected. Is "Save face保全面子" more important or "Save lives" more important? Talk about their stupidity. In the USA, every person who is 18 and older USA citizens can vote for U.S. president. In China, although they have 1.4 billion people, but only 2,340 CCP comrades can vote for their leader. Those 2,340 CCP comrades raised their hands to vote, not by anonymous ballots. Of course, all 2,340 raised their hands or else, they won't see the Sun come out the next morning. CCP always secretive and opaque about the news they reported. Do not believe them. In China, now more than few million Chinese people died on Covid-19, but CCP said only two people died. Gosh, don't believe in CCP. Honesty is the best policy.

The treatments for COVID-19 including mRNA vaccine injections such as Pfizer and Moderna. I have had Pfizer vaccine 3 times, but I have Moderna (MRNA) stock. So, I paid attention to Moderna stock price.. China is too proud to buy either Pfizer or Moderna vaccine from USA. However, China have had Chinese to inject their vaccine which is not working and oral taking a herbal medicine for 3 years but not working either. In recent months ago, China approached Moderna to buy its Anti-COVID vaccine, Moderna stock price jumped up for a day, but next day the stock price went down because China said to buy Moderna vaccine injection, Moderna has to provide the formula and how to make the injection (China has no such technology yet). Moderna refused to provide the formula and technology. China tried to steal the mRNA vaccine formula and technology, so that they can make it. China has no knowledge or respect the patent rights 專利權. Honesty is the best policy.

For more detail news about Paxlovid, please Google the drug. I have heard this new drug recently and it is all over the news. I have 2 Pfizier vaccines in January & February of 2021 plus a booster injection in October of 2021. I went to Europe from May 15 to 30, 2022 and Airline company requires to see the vaccination record. I also passed the COVID-19 at-home 2 tests (before departure and return from Europe) Rhine & Moselle river cruise trip. Every winter I have "Flu" shot in November. I also got a "Tdap" vaccine injection in December this year because my OB-GYN MD daughter brought her new born baby daughter to California for Christmas. My daughter asked me to get Tdap vaccine to prevent Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis (AKA "Whooping cough"). I am all covered. Honesty is the best policy.
