Count down Taiwan's election on 1-13-2024 If you've ever read my profile or blogs, you know I was born and raised in Taiwan and have been residing in California since 1980. Although during the past 43.5 years I only went back to Taiwan twice, and I only voted for the U.S. presidents every 4 years, but I really care about Taiwan. I am worry about CCP sabre-rattling 磨刀霍霍, 好戰挑釁, threaten and intimidated Taiwan consistently. My ancestors had been in Taiwan since 400+ years ago Ming Dynasty, followed 鄭成功 ships to Taiwan. CCP only has controlled China for 74.5 years. It has been separated 400 years, the people on two sides of Taiwan's strait are tremendously different. I have asked many Americans who had been to Taiwan what impression they have with Taiwanese. I got compliments from them such as "hospitality"殷勤招待, nice, kindness, helping, benevolence 仁慈的, 厚道的, 善意的, 和藹的. On the contrary, CCP controlled China with "3 yrs Great Famine" that caused 47 millions Chinese died, "10 yrs Cultural revolution" that 43 millions Chinese died, "Tienanmen Square massacre" that over 12 thousand young college students died. One Baby policy and Hong-Kong extradite 引渡 to China, Falung Gong practitioners arrest even "organ harvesting", ... brutal and cruel crimes. CCP prohibited Chinese people to talk about those crimes they committed and brainwashed students since elementary schools. Deplorable Chinese people have been brainwashed to believe they are chauvinists盲目的愛國者. Xi one person's brain coercive 高壓政治 controls 1.4 billion of Chinese people. Sorry for the digress 脫離主題. Let's talk about Taiwan's presidential election on 1-13-2024. I think the Best candidates are Dr. Lai Ching-te (William Lai) 賴清德 (MD) and his running mate 蕭美琴 H.E. Bi-Khim Hsiao. I have repeatedly watch the YouTube video "On the Road" 在路上 at least 10 times. Taiwan's president Tsai Ing-wen蔡英文 drove the car and their warm conversation on the road touched my heart. Taiwan people are lucky to have a Democracy system and intelligent president to lead the country (Yes, Taiwan is a country and has sovereignty, constitution, flag, passport, freedom of speech, religion and press ....). I believe 賴清德 and 蕭美琴 team will win this election. I believe Taiwanese people's wisdom and vote for them. Taiwan has the best semiconductor chips in the world and the world see this fact. The first "congratulatory phone" was from the USA, Secretary of State, Antony Blinken to newly-elected Taiwan's president, Dr. Lai, MD. Then Japan, UK, .... etc. for 50+ on 1/14/2024. Among them, Philippine's president addressed Dr. Lai as Taiwan's president that made China very angry. Miss Mao said Philippine's president should study more from books to know Taiwan is just a part of China. Up to this date, there are 80+ countries top cabinet leaders have called congratulatory phone to Dr. Lai. China is in deep "economy" trouble on Real Estate, Banking, unemployment rate, stock market, .... are in downward spiral. Nobody believed Lee said at "World Economy" meeting in Davos, Switzerland China's GDP growth rate is 5.2% nobody believed what he said. Honesty is the best policy.

Have you noticed that CCP Xi Jing-ping doesn't have a Vice-president or name someone to be a "Successor "繼承人? Xi thinks he won't die? Xi thinks he is immortal 永世的? When Xi died one day, who will be the leader of China?? In the USA, we have President, Vice-president and House speaker in case of something happened. Honesty is the best policy.

Dr. Lai Ching-te (William Lai) 賴清德 (MD) and his running mate 蕭美琴 H.E. Bi-Khim Hsiao won Taiwan's election with 5.58 million ballots (40.3 % over Taiwan's population of 23.5 million people. No Taiwan's President has 3rd term tenure. In 2024 Taiwan's presidential election, there are 16 candidates on the ballots but the top 3 political parties, are DPP 民進黨, Kuomintang 國民黨 and 民眾黨. In CCP's Constitution Law that the leaders can have 5 years and maximum of 2 terms. But Xi Jing-Ping broke their Constitution Law to have his 3rd term in 2023 and even more in the future. He won 2,952 CCP representatives raised their hands (not ballot vote) without any objection 反對票, or "Abstain" 棄權票 . CCP said it is 100% passed Xi's 3rd term, but China's population is 1.4 billion people. CCP only has one political party. Taiwan has Democracy political system, every election is fair, open and transparent. CCP is communist party, a tyranny 暴政, 專制 political system. No presidential election. It is a totalitarian 極權主義的 country. People can't hear the true news or vote for their leaders. Honesty is the best policy.

As I expected 賴清德 and 蕭美琴 won the 2024 Taiwan's presidential election. Lai Ching-te of Taiwan's ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP 民進黨) won Saturday's presidential election after a tight three-way race, giving the China-skeptic party an unprecedented third consecutive term in office since democratic polls for the presidency were introduced in 1996. Hooray, Taiwanese people chose their own president and vice-president that Chinese people can't. Honesty is the best policy.

Shame on ex-Taiwan's president (16 years ago, 2 terms for 8 years from 2008 - 2016, Kuomintang 國民黨) Ma Ying-jeou馬英九, a traitor賣國賊 , brown-nose 【美俚】諂媚者；拍馬屁的人；奉承別人的人 to CCP, Xi 應該把馬送去對岸，並取消前總統待遇，他不配! . Shame on 馬英九, 油頭粉面的老狐狸, 馬英九老人癡呆症, 馬英九向習搖白旗？ 如今大陸百業凋零百姓艱困政權瀕臨崩塌之際，重返毛主席文革時代的統治手法. 台灣應該拒絕馬英九入境台灣. 16 years ago, Taiwanese voted for wrong ex-president 馬英九, This time Taiwanese should vote for the right persons 賴清德 and 蕭美琴 . The USA government already realized how important of Taiwan's semiconductor industry to the world. Yes, I believe the USA will defense for Taiwan from China. It doesn't matter how small of Taiwan land or how big of China land, but more important is the people's wisdom, knowledge, the leadership. If you are in Taiwan and over 18 years old and you are the Taiwan's citizens, please vote for 賴清德 and 蕭美琴 team on 1-13-2024. Walk on the correct road, choose the correct leaders. Honesty is the best policy.

A few months after I arrived the USA in 1980, I enrolled a local college to learn English better. The 1st day of college, the teacher asked everyone to stand at front and give a self introduction to the class. When my turn, I said I came from Taiwan, a small island. Taiwan is NOT China. Most of the students in the classroom didn't know Taiwan except the teacher. 43.5 years ago, I said I am a Taiwanese, I didn't admit I am a Chinese. In May 2022 (waited 3.5 years for COVID-19), I went on Rhine river cruise. There were 143 Caucasian American travelers on board and I am the only Asian face. Almost 99% of them came as couples, husband & wife, sisters, friends, ..., I was alone. During the meals, we share table to eat. We chatted during eating, they asked me where I came from. I answered from Southern California for 42 yrs. They continued to ask where were you original came from. I knew what they wanted to know. I replied "from Taiwan". Those Americans are retired professors, attorneys, MD's, judge, .... all highly-educated senior professionals. They know Taiwan is under China's sabre-ratting threaten. They all know Taiwan. They said China will attack Taiwan, but the USA will protect Taiwan. I always emphasized Taiwanese is not Chinese. They said they have had friends from Taiwan who are friendly, polite, smart, .... Most highly educated senior Americans know what is right, what is wrong. They know Taiwan's semiconductor chips industry. I don't need to explain further more. Honesty is the best policy.

I am in real estate and stock market investments and made good fortune. I have recommended 3 semiconductor companies (TSM, AMD, NVDA) in which the CEO's are from Taiwan's Taiwanese-Americans. My NVDA cost is $124.65 per share, now is $500 per share. The U.S. Secretary of Commerce, Gina Raimondo delivered a speech titled “The CHIPS Act and a Long-term Vision for America’s Technological Leadership” at Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service. In her remarks, Raimondo outlined the historic opportunity provided by the CHIPS and Science Act and the long-term goals she has set for the program to solidify America's technology and innovation leadership while protecting America’s economic and national security. In her speech, she said "Taiwan alone produces 92% of the world’s leading-edge chips, even though the majority of them are still based on technology created at UC Berkeley—with federal funding." Now you know how importance is Taiwan semiconductor to the world. The Semiconductor chips are in your Smartphone, your cars, yur computer, and military equipment (airplanes missiles 飛彈, 導彈 and others). TSMC (Taiwan manufacturing company) Made-in-Taiwan chips are the #1 quality in the world. CCP wanted to buy TSMC chips with high prices to make their computer, smartphones, and most importantly their military uses. This raised the USA attention, so Biden signed an Executive Order to prevent China including other 40 countries that might sold TSMC chip to China, so that China can't purchase the most high-technology chips. That also extends to AMD and NVDA. The USA, Europe, the whole world understand that the security of defense is the most important and China shouldn't get their hands on high-tech semiconductor chips to make dangerous military equipment that cause chaos in the world. I understand the USA concern about the safety of Defense but I am very proud of TSMC, AMD and NVDA high-tech technology. The world should know although Taiwan is a small island country, but their contribution to the world is great. Can you imaging if the world without Taiwan's 92% chips in the world, the world will lose trillion of money and the world's economy will go downwards? Honesty is the best policy.

The U.S. presidential election will be held in November 2024. I don't like either Joe Biden or Donald J. Trump. Because Biden's age and his son Hunter Biden bribery scandals from China, Ukraine, .... Because Trump's age and 4 indictments and criminal charges. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I like Mike Pompeo (I mentioned in my previous blogs), but he came out in public and said he is still young and still have chances in the future. I know my blogs have been viewed by many Chinese (used VPN) and Taiwanese, so I have used English and Chinese in my blogs. Under Communist system: The vote for dictator 獨裁者 Xi was 2,952 to 0 by the NPC, members of which are appointed by the ruling party. Xi, 69, had himself named to a third five-year term as party general secretary in October, breaking with a tradition under which Chinese leaders handed over power once a decade. China said their population is 1.4 billions, but only 2,952 persons can vote. In the USA, Taiwan and many Democracy countries any person who is over 18 years old can vote for their president. Democracy system has at least bipartisan political parties. The competitions in different parties are very keen 激烈的, 鋒利的. There are no such thing as "no objection vote". Honesty is the best policy.
