How can we help? My heart goes out to Japan after seeing just some of the the video's of the Devastation brought on from the earthquake and tsunami that hit it.How can we help? |

One of my friends who is bilingual in Japanese, did go to Japan from Seattle to volunteer at the community centers that people were temporily living. Our Seattle Cherry Blossom and Japanese Cultural Festival, at Seattle Center in April, donated 10% proceeds, over $2,000 to the Red Cross. There were many fundraisers for the Tsunami Relief since we have a strong Japanese American community here in Seattle. At Bellevue College I performed a Japanese dance, during lunchtime, while the student groups had booths too raise money and teach Japanese Culture, as well to the other students. My friend, David Yamaguchi co-authored, "The Orphan Tsunami," before the Earthquake and Tsunami happened. He noted in history, of many Tsunami hitting Japan. One earthquake on the West Coast of WA State caused a tsunami that we all the way to Japan, back in the 18th Century. He researched records of many of the Tsunamis and which Japanese villages were hit. In August, Now there was hurricane damage on the East coast and people are without power. Sugi Dancer, Dating Coach
