1950's - Black and White - Movies.

I'm continually amazed at the 'designer work' of the dresses the women wore in the old black and white movies. Not only were they elegant but they kept a vision of a character, yet pushed sensuality. Although, sexuality did not dominate the character aspect, even in a provocative setting. I think the mix of such, made it even more possible for people to make and build relationship- even today, people show everything, but want the character feel of what those 1950's style gave them, and the two concepts seem to meet a point where they conflict on the designer states of today's feel about the imagery presented. It certainly has not been helped by the 'barracudas in gowns", on these wives shows..
Unfortunate as it is, the shows with all these women in gowns, who look harden and when they speak, they sound like contentions gladiators when the whole point of a gown is to give a soften appearance, and the character demean is then infused with a gentle grace. But geez, not in these depictions today. Its more about brazen brutal sexuality. which conveys a aggressive near rude demand, more than an inviting attractions.

The designers, who grasp this concept and turn it, will win.

As there are many many people, beyond all the flair and outer speak, still seek that grace and that gentle nature of woman as being of grace. it does not mean dispense with sexuality, but it means to be filled with more sensuality.

Even when character and sensuality is the dominant image, it gave a certain flavor of character and sexuality to the likes of Playboy, more flavor, and people viewed it with integrity even in the nude presentations.
Because what was general presentations, was much more fitting with the deeper mindset of people.
today the external imagery where sexuality over power sensuality, and character has become down played in the presentation of many of today's ways, which are simply different than the 1950's.

the paradoxical point, is, people still aspire to want the character quality of the 1950, but only can find much of the current styling today.. therefore, the initial impact of individual female imagery is faced with many a dilemma.

Today, its about Lewd, using sexuality with the delusion it will convey sensuality, but what results is, it is more lacking of character.

Woman in the eyes of man, will always be desired for her character and a mix of sensuality, and those women will be pursued for stability mate selection, long ahead of those who lean to the lewd using sexuality that has a hardened edge which erodes sensuality, and this the grace of character become even more lacking.

What has come to be associated with the latter, is contentions, challenges of contemptuous manner, and quick flips to a rude frame of responsiveness. thus we have the "barracuda dressed in silk and satin syndrome"..

Also with men, there is the difference in the daddy attire, and the man of character attire, yes, the man of character can utilize colors, but blend them well, and match well the texture, but know the difference in how it coordinate with the situations and how the demeanor fits with the captions, and he is then see as a man of character, more than as a peacock with its feather extended in a frustrated bliss of disparity.

Character is always the sensual attraction mechanism.

Quite an interesting to point explore.
