"NBC"

Simply made a mess of the Opening Ceremonies_ American style greed bombarded this presentations with pointless commercials, when a world of athlete's were presenting themselves to compete in a world wide gathering of nations in the sportsmanship of sporting games.
The commentators were crass and unaware of their own lack of character in the puns they pushed and the comments they made.
Bob Costas turned it into a insult with his political commentary about every nations, rather than to discuss the athletes of each nations.

Corporate greed had no regard for the purpose nor the reason of these Games, they not only played commercials with blinding frequency, they multiplied the number of senseless commercials they interjected into the presentations until they over shadowed the majesty of these games and the Opening Ceremony.

NBC
antics was such a horrifying insult to the presentations, I had to turn down the volume on the TV to be able to enjoy the presentation of the Opening Ceremony. This was a new low for American Media, it was about on the level of Romney over in London, being a pompous Ass and criticizing the organizers of this magnificent presentations. as a way of trying to hail himself as something greater than the works of many people and all the volunteers who helped make this an Great Opening Ceremony.

NBC embarrassed America, and Romney was even more so an embarrassment to the nation, with one of America's strongest Allies, with his low class criticisms of these London Organizing Teams.

What a shame... It only mirrors the criminal conduct and game created over the 8 yrs of Bush Administration which embroiled the world in wars and presided over a process and program that led to the collapse of the global economy, of which many nations have yet to find a means to recover.

Mercy... if the dignity that our current President is trying to support and promote is ever embraced, we may regain some dignity within how we are viewed and we may gain some nature of stability in how we operate and we may learn not only to treat American with civility and equality, we may even learn to respect and appreciate the global community and build a team working unity across the world.

The Example "NBC" pushed upon is, was a wake up call as to how low we have sank and how far we have to come to rise up and be what America was designed to be.

many people did put in a great deal of work.. It was a very different type of presentations, covering a long history.. It may have been a different reception if people had some idea of what the objectives within the theme's were leading up. It was certainly different...

I think each country displays their historical heritages in the presentations and artistic things they incorporate in their performance.
When China held its Ceremonies, Many in the western society probably did not understand the usages of the drums, the artistic character dance and other character inclusions and their display of traditional historic demonstrations within the many types of festival characterizations it incorporates, but, even though many did not understand the meaning as it relates to the history, they were never the less entertained by the sheer volume and coordinated components and the brilliance of colors ...
but I do think that in both events... everyone understood the fireworks of both, because it was a portion that needed no particular cultural context in order to understand...

Interesting...
