Olympic Games

U.S. and China
both are doing very well in the Olympic Games.. ( name some of your favorite participants and winners)

I've been watching and there are many amazing individuals who have come forth.

Phelps
and his number of Medals is itself amazing.
Gabby Douglas was outstanding in the energy, dynamics and confidence she performed. The picture above of full stretched out position above the beam, seems to say it clearly.
Women's 800m Freestyle Katie Ledecky - 15 and she just swam away from the pack from start to finish.
Swimming Women's 200m Backstroke Missy Franklin she is so energetic, excellent smile and very comfortable with her confidence in her ability.

China 22 16 10 (48 Medals)
United States 23 10 13 (46 Medals)

Chinese men and the Chinese womens synchronized divers were Amazing, they simply do not make a splash, they go in the water like a knife blade.. smooth... and great precision.

"bladerunner", Oscar Pistorius - I think this guy is amazing, to be able to do what he does with prosthetic legs - He has great spirit too.

List some of the favorites you have seen so far during the games and what did you like about it. ?

Even the last place competitor is an amazing athlete - what it takes for them to get to this level of competition.. and be separated in some cases in long distance runs by nor more than minutes, and in some case on other events by no more than seconds, and some cases in some events by no more than 100ths of a second .

looking at the average of what we as general individual who are no groomed in these sports.. we see it look easy, but reality is far different... because of the work it takes to make it look so easy.

Just imagine yourself running and jumping in the air, doing flips and spins and then landing on your feet.. but more so, just being able to jump high enough to do one spin, let alone these athlete do multiple spins and twist while doing so and still land on their feet and continue to do more.
It's purely amazing. Or the act of getting up and running 26 miles and doing each mile around 5 minutes... Geez, the stamina and determination it takes is truly a work of many invested days and hours.

If only the focus in children could be groom in general to be fit and learn to develop and use their bodies.. what an amazing society we'd be performing at these levels in so many things. Talk about a utopia.. we'd be close to it especially if we equally so developed the good sportsmanship attitude...

CONGRATULATIONS to each and every competitor who made it to these games, they are all winners. it took many wins along the way, just to get here.

What we don't know is amazing, and what we are unaware that we don't know is Astounding. We can't know what it is to do these feats, because we have not put in the time, the work, the learning, and developed the stamina, nor the mastering of our bodies to do these things.

On an average, our basic body balance is far less of control than we think it is. Not only do they recover in an instance from a mis calculation, they can re-grasp the focus and continue on to do even more things.

imagine if you tried to jump in a pool and do any single feat that a synchronized swimmer can do.. you'd find yourself quite frustrated quickly and bewildered as to how it can be done and made to look effortless.

Or go on a high platform and do a hand stand and dive 30 feet while flipping and twisting and then go in the water without barely making a stash.

Nothing about anything that happens in the Olympics is a bad performance, its just that some are more on in their timing and execution on a given day than another. but the level of performance is so high, that even the one with the lowest score is probably a star that would excel as Wioani said, if you put them in a group of 1000.

We as a society must become better at giving credit to those who have worked so hard to earn it.

These individual continue to show that the I'm pretty factor, counts for very little if any at all, when the consideration concerns the ability to perform.
