Athlete's

The best divers in the Olympics are the Chinese, I'm amazed how they go in the water and they don't make very much splash...

The dare and skill to do the maneuvers they do with their body and then enter the water is something all divers are amazing at doing. But none are as consistent as the Chinese when it comes to 'entry' without splash.

They don't seem to show much emotion until, they have hit that exceptional dive or their scores show them as the winner.

All the athletes are driven to perform well for their country. but China and some other nations Athletes seem to be pushed by an extra force as if they will be ostracized by their nation if they don't do well.

The one thing with American athletes, they can do well for country, team and self, but they don't have to worry about being ostracized by the country if they don't win Gold.

I think some countries forget, it is a 'Win" just to be there, because everyone who is there, has won a great deal just to be there.. Many of these competitors only beat each other by very small margins, and they all rank in a range far above what the average person can attain.

We are talking about difference in the 100th's of a second and in points that are often time measured in the 100th's

Even the person who come is last, is an exceptional athlete.. with so much emphasis on the Gold, I think so many forget that each and every one of these entrants in these games is by far of a level of excellence, that takes many many years to achieve.
