4th of July

"Quoted Text"
John Adams had written to his wife Abigail:

The second day of July, 1776, will be the most memorable epoch in the history of America. I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival. It ought to be commemorated as the day of deliverance, by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires, and illuminations, from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward forever more.

Adams's prediction was off by two days. From the outset, Americans celebrated independence on July 4, the date shown on the much-publicized Declaration of Independence, rather than on July 2, the date the resolution of independence was approved in a closed session of Congress.

I watched some great show on the Titans of Industry which propelled the Industrial Age, Great Visions and Strong Wills, forged industries which became truly foundational in the economic growth and social life modeling of America in the 19th and 20th Century. This in no ways negates nor discount the other era of the evolution of this nation.

What is true in this day and time, is for America to truly embrace its sense of Equality, its hope and aims for economic equilibrium, and not loose its spirit of innovation. It is truly important that we become more a nation which has the good will within these United States to promote and support each other, through challenge and triumph. We must not let the aims of hoarding, greed, avarice or such ills, bring us to value anything more than the fellow Americans and their well being as well as their welfare. If we can achieve that grand but simple objective and make it our goal. Then as a True nation with a true democratic process, we can then become to respect each person as an individual and within a sense of equality in being an America individual.

We will always in the humane nature of life have the strong and the weak, it is always and will always be our sense and embrace of compassion that will bridge the distinctions within strength and weakness to bring a sense of equality of person in the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness and well being.

We cannot become a nation who is with an abhorrence to caring for the elderly, the poor, the weak, nor neglect the , and certainly not cast the into a caste system based on the egotism's of material measure.

A nurturing of human spirit is our salvation process, the nurture of the dreams and potentials within not only the but in all persons is what bring use to receive the gifts of the human minds creation in continuing to forge a nation where the greatness of the human being, can bring contributions to civilized community and humane regards for life and things in making this nation become all it can be.
