automatic things - sometimes break !!!

when they work they are fine... but when they don't it's a challenge.

Well, the garage door opener is working, but the spring on a section of the door's mechanism broke..,.. Now it won't go up... the funny thing is I can't get may car out !!!
the doors for some factor seems unreasonably heavy.,.. Normally I can lift it, because I've done so during power outages, but maybe that is because of the spring assist mechanism. Odd, because only one side has the broken spring...

I guess it is quite strange, because I took my mother to the movies, and we returned and the door was open. "maybe I left it open",.. then it worked fine.. I took her home, it opened, came back it opened... now I want to get the dog's food... and it won't open...

It's really funny in the big picture... what makes it funny is the sheer silliness of it. I can't help but laugh, because it produces the feeling of not having a car and wanting to go some place. Oh' how dependent we are on machinery.

It's the same nature of challenge when the computer breaks...
By the forces of habit and lifestyle we have heavy reliance on these things to do what they were designed to do. Now I can get some help today to lift the door and remove my car.... But if this had happen tomorrow morning, it would be a trip, because it would pose challenges to get to work... because the Motorcycle is in there too.

More unplanned expenditure..... greater deficit to any already challenged economic base.... what a "Trip'....

It's quite crazy that this thing would break.

Everything is $100 or more !!!! -- well it's $195, to change both springs.
no choice but to get it done.
