Pre-packaged Goods

Buyer Beware !!!! Marketing ploys will promote many things, Advertising Fiction will stand our like a peacock with its feather in full spread...

If it comes in a beautifully designed box, don't assume that will indicate the quality of its components or ingredients, nor will it verify the durability nor the health value.

The small print is often incomplete, as they report only what they are 'mandated" to report. When it comes to edibles; if there is no mandate to disclose its full content of ingredients, then what can be left undisclosed will be left undisclosed. If they can find non common pronounceable words to deflect the attention from a compound that you may not want, then it will be discussed by a clinical name, not by the common usage terms of general society.

Be aware of 100% Natural.... the small print generally will denoted "made from concentrate"... ( now who knows what's in the concentrate that is unnatural)...
Sugar is often given multiple names, but when its broken down for its nutritional content, it is still 'sugar".
High sodium often indicates a strong need to over power the taste buds, That might be a signal that it is not fully composed with quality ingredients of what is advertised.

Be careful with the 'Calorie" count... How calories are burned is always an individual thing, any single reliance on this number can result to produce results one did not anticipate.

If a system offers features, and it takes too many steps to make it function... be assured the model will soon become replaced by a more efficient programmed model. If a unit is incapable of emerging tech, then your unit may loose its compatibility quickly with new models or models which support enhanced compatibility.

Everything that claims 100% leather is not 100% leather, everything that claims 100% cotton is not 100% cotton.
If its wearable, check the 'stitching", look at the material folds and how it is then stitched with the folds.

Size varies depending on the culture that produced the product.. so in one area a medium may work, in another area a large will be the only proper fitting unit.

Buyer Beware !!!!! when mass production and money is the high matter, it should become a matter for you to be very cautious with your choices. Name Brands, ask yourself what does it cost to support the brand name, does the band meet the integrity it claims, has the brand began to ride on the name and slack on the quality.

Meats, if it a natural piece of chicken, why should it have anything 'injected into it".. If its a Steak, why put anything in it to enhance the color... But often times we ignore these things.
Recently I saw some chicken wing parts, ( the quick and easy to cook flash frozen type).. it listed 12-15-20% of chicken broth injected into it. WHY? What else was in the broth?

How much do 'durable goods" do we buy, and end up replacing it within a year? How much packaged and processed foods do we eat, which has ingredients that we would not buy or eat if we understood what it truly is?

How often do we get absorbed with the glitz of the enterprises interior design elements, which cause us to ignore the quality and integrity of the products we are purchasing ??????
How often are we influenced by "the look" of the sales person and forget to truly pay attention to the product being sold and promoted??

Pre-packaged Goods...
BUYER BEWARE

I want to upgrade my phone from the older Blackberry model. Its been a information search to look at the New Blackberry model, I did not pay much attention to the Iphone, I looked at some of the Android based models.. then I looked at the Windows phone.

For me, I use a windows computer system, I use heavily the Office suite of products. then logic is that I would fair better with a phone that is compatible with my computer. then I considered if I to upgrade my laptop, but at the same time have a tablet, again, this will be compatible with the phone, my home desktop computer, provide lap top and tablet versatility.

at this point I don't see the benefit of having a phone that is not compatible with the programs on my Desktop computer nor having a tablet that is not an extension of the phones capability, as well not having a tablet and phone that is not capable of expanding the capability to full laptop functions.
Next comes the Data Plans, and the choice of Carrier. Some carriers do not support certain things, especially the low cost economic carriers. Now MetroPCS does have the windows phone and will support the tablet, but it does not have the network capacity of Verizion.
With Verizion, unless a 2 yr contract is signed, the individual units become very expensive. compounded by data plans with limits on the data packages being sold.

*For people who have Apple computer, and Apple phones and Apple tables, they have a fully linked system.

*For people who have Windows computer, windows phone and windows tablet, they have a fully linked system

*For Android, people who use webbased systems, via such like Google, Gmail, GoogleDocs and etc, then they have a linked system...

All offer 'Cloud storage'... which ultimately means your data is stored on someone else 'system'.. if it become a fee based system and you don't pay or quickly download and place your data in a self controlled storage, you may find a challenge point.

One can now get their own Tera Drive with its own Cloud software, which can have its own IP... although some of these come via a service provider.. unless one can get an IT professional to assist with accessing it view your Internet service IP home network.

My big question is, why are most of these tablet and phone not offering simply software upgrades like one can get for the desktop. The next items is, what will it all be used for... which becomes the most important. As I've found with computers, if it meets the needs one is aiming for, then it does not matter if they add more bells and whistles, what matters is how much will I interactively utilize it and will it continue meeting my needs.

I'm amazed at how people switch out their Apple phones every time a model re-imaging comes on the market. Yet, many may only use the phone, text and social media aspects of it, along with playing games. Now, with the 1000's of Apps, is it even necessary to keep changing phones when many apps are being made to do so many things.

I use to buy various software which could claim to do this or that, then years ago, I found that I could do much of the same things with the full Windows suite of products. Unless I wanted some proprietary program like Quick Books, Peachtree Accounting or a different type of data managements system.

Again it will come back to the monthly usage cost of these items, as well as the initial layout cost to acquire these items. Then it becomes a matter of being productive with them. ( for me)

It's really crazy... I have some tomato's that seem to last forever, they are those 'greenhouse" grown tomato's.. During the summer I went to the Farmers Market, I bought from the home-growers and these things taste very good and they were not like the 'big farm sellers" who had those waxed looking tomato's they picked when they were still green.
I love buying the homegrown cucumbers, the "pickling type', they are crisp and taste very good.

I am now so skeptical about what I buy as to food items, and what is truly crazy, Here in the South, I thought when I moved here that it would be lots of people selling natural foods. But that is just not the case. This city does not have a Vegetable Mart.. I have found a few places that sell straight from the farm produce when the seasonal harvest it available.

I was discussing with a friend I've known since the 8th grade. I did not know him prior to, but we both came from small country towns, where people had gardens and farm animals. Its so strange that we grew up with natural foods, and then moved to the big city, and I spent 33 yrs in Los Angeles, Now I live about 20-30 miles from the town I grew up in. He has just acquired the land he grew up on, and is planning on turning it into a 'organic farm" to try and re-promote natural grown foods.
I've discussed with him, about partnering with me, for the Event business I designed a few years ago when I attempted to get it off the ground.
The aim on my part is to create a venue where people can start small business that without a lot of over-head cost. I probably should have created my LLC as a Non Profit... but it is a for Profit model. I may look into developing a Non Profit model, because I can get many benefits to help it develop and grow.

It's crazy to go in the store and see all the people who buy the Frozen TV dinners and all the Frozen pre-prepared foods with the pretty pictures on the packaging. Obesity in this State rates as one of the highest in the nation.

I think also the type of stress levels here in the South, is a challenge, especially because the weather is so crappy. When I first bought my bike, I thought the weather here was good, but have since learned this is some of the craziest weather imaginable. I think in California the weather is better for health, and they do have places like "
Whole Foods", and then there is { " Gelson" the chain consists of sixteen Gelson's locations in: Calabasas, Century City, Dana Point, Encino, Hollywood, Irvine, Long Beach, Marina del Rey, Newport Beach, Pacific Palisades, Santa Barbara, Sherman Oaks, Silver Lake/Los Feliz, Tarzana, Valley Village/NoHo, West Hollywood, and Westlake Village. where one can buy good quality food.
Here I don't even know if I'd have had the same medical challenge if I'd still been there in Ca. maybe it would have happen anyway, who knows.
but I do know in CA... I loved walking, riding my bicycle, here, neither is as easy because the unpredictability of the weather.
Just Saturday, it was near 70 degree, and yesterday it rained and remain in the 40's, today it won't get out of the 40's.

So, weather and health are truly some connected things, and certainly finding the right quality of food.
That's one thing I liked about visiting Costa Rica and Thailand, the people have a wide variety of FRESH vegetables to choose among.
I almost detest the Western Marketers, they will sell anything to make a profit... with no regard for what it does to peoples health.

Things - Stuff and more Things and Stuff

I upgrade my phone, not to the latest model, but one more up to date than the older blackberry I had, I switched to a windows phone, so it will match with the desktop and tablet, now I have to put Windows 8 on my desktop... ( its always something else to add to get compatibility)
I just don'[t see the benefit of Android, when my core system which is the desktop is a windows based unit. I don't play games on the phone and I don't care for the game apps because I don't care much for the games. I may need to re-think it and maybe get an Xbox, just for the heck of it. who knows I might like it.
I'm more interested in developing some ideas I have for business and giving effort to create a habit pattern of exercise and proper eating. I have to get those habits in place, I don't like waking up tired and sluggish. I need to drop some stomach weight and get clean lungs ....
Then these information management tools may become more functional in the bigger pictures for the business and health aspirations.

I was in the store and about to buy the "nutri bullett",, I got to the counter and the woman told me, that he husband use the blender and his stuff comes out great. So I put the $99 Nutri Bullet back, and today, I find that my blender will crush Ice, and various other functions, so I put it to use this morning, It made things as I'm sure, just as good as the highly advertised "nutri-bullet would do. I buy those Protein and suppliment drinks, sometimes like Boost and Store brands, so I put on of those in and blended it, to my surprise... It is just as good and for certain better than those pre-packaged smoothies which claim 100% fruit and vegetables. Well, this morning I know I have 100% fruit and vegetables, because I cut them up and put it in there. That's it, I won't be buying the Nutri-Bullet.... or any of the other so called units... The blender I bought is the same brand which use to be the brand leader in these units, It's been sitting un-used for 5+ or more years, but now I will put it to use.

Thank goodness this woman at the check out counter saved me $99 dollars, and she did it with a smile.

I am working on paying more attention and being more patient and morse to put to use what I have and upgrade on what I need to upgrade.

I have lots of things that sit in the closet, but I'm going to start using all of it, because it makes no sense to have a 'on reserve" like saving it mentality... 'saving it for what"???? the recent medical things made me think deeply, and I need to heed those thoughts.....

I remember one Porsche sit in the garage both In CA and when I moved here It sat in the Garage another 3 or more years, I put on 300 miles on it, during the 3 or more years after I moved here, and probably only put maybe 2500 or so on it when I lived in LA... the white Porsche, I used it as a drive to work car, then one day it was crazy, my frustration became, about the hassle of moving one car to get to the other, I realized that was a silly problem to have, so I modified my front yard to make a slot for the white Porsche, but then I also had a Ford Probe, which just sat there, I gave that to my Nephew, but I regret I did not give it to my sister before she got sick and passed.
I've given all immediate family members computers at one time or another, and my mother is on her third computer at this point.

I do however want to buy 1 more flat panel TV for the guest room, which has a sofa bed. I realized when my sister stayed with me over the past month, it would have been nice for her to have a TV in that room.
net item is to enclose my patio and turn it into a few pieces of Gym equipment. first I thought about a Den that wraps around the fireplace, but I don't need that, I need the Gym more. I have an unused office out back, I have two office ln the house, and one will remain and office and the other will have to become an entertainment room... with keyboard, Guitars and maybe a game box....

The matter is to take what I have an make it work....
I'm sure I need an auto upgrade, but at the moment, there are about 3 cars I like, I like the Mercedes, the Porsche and the Corvette... I just don't like the prices, and I can't afford either in a newer model at this time. So, I am hopeful my car continues to hold up... and we will see how things evolve.
As for money, I need it as a "tool" first to make the business ideas become alive.....
what ever the business, if I can't build it to provide quality and good service then I don't have interest to do it. I don't want to provide people low grade anything.
