This Winter This winter just won't seem to go away. It has been a cycle of cold for such a long time. It seems before I had surgery, it was cold, now months later it is still cold. This morning it is in the 20º's range. with an expected high of 39º. It is the worst cycle of weather, just as I have been working on getting an exercise routine. I guess I can't go through the weather change waiting on good weather to exercise. I'm going to get my own treadmill and a few other pieces so I can simply exercise at home. I really miss California weather in these regards. As this weather here is simply "crazy", It unpredictable. I can now understand why this region is always listed at the bottom of "health ratings", and there is wide spread obesity which is beyond any reasonable levels. My motorcycle just sits in the garage, after having this thing for more than 7 yrs, and what appears as wasted money, and now 7 years later it has lost half the value I paid for it, Yet it has less than 4k miles on it. Maybe its simply time to get rid of it and trade it in on a used Porsche or something or maybe just sell it and use the money to buy an older Porsche or something. I never would have imagined the South has this cycle of odd weather. Among some other things that I don't like so much about here. One is I don't care much for girl watching, since the area is so full of bigger body women. It just does not have a large volume of small frame women. Jobs don't want to pay any reasonable levels of income and various thing which is almost like this area is 30-40 years behind the rest of the world.  I do however like that the traffic is not a issue and certain it not a problem as it relates to traffic, but again, this State has some of the worst maintained roads probably of most any state in the nation. |

No, this Southern Weather ( NW Louisiana) is plain crazy. After living in California for 32-33 yrs, this is just crazy. I've been here 8 yrs and still I am not adjusted to it. I grew up here as a kid, but it was not this crazy, or maybe I just did not pay attention the same as I give attention to it now. Today it was 27º-34º during work hours, It was so cold at lunch time, it almost gave me a headache, just to go from the office to my car. The building was designed with parking only for the City/Parish Leadership. (Directors), we have to park about a block away. Thank goodness I only have to go out in the field when I need or want to go, my work assigned work car is on the 5th floor (ROOF) of a parking lot which is a block from the building I work. Besides since I returned to work, I have a mountain of work on my desk which accumulated over the 2.5 months I was off work. but it has been cold since before I was off and its still cold now that I'm back... I am not a fan of this cold weather, but again within 2.5 more months we will be in the 100º weather. A in 2012 we had more than 60 days of high 90º- 108-112º HEAT !!! It's like one extreme to the next with a lull in the spring and a lull in the fall.
