New Floursecent Light Bulb

The claim of multiple years, is a delusion... I've bought more bulbs in the past year than is reasonably necessary, simply because they burn out quickly.

At the cost of these things, I think eventually there may be a class actions suit against making false claims about the longevity of these bulbs.

I've practically bought twice as many of these highly priced things, than the old standard bulbs, which in some cases had a longer life span in various usages around the home.

I think they need to either make it right, or there needs to be some address to this process of ripping off the consumers.

I'm installing dimmable LED lighting on all of my kitchen and furniture projects now. Mostly due to client request.

I dislike the type of light they give off, but I'm able to cover more area with custom strips of LED and fit them into tighter spaces where the heat from halogen lights would be a hazard. It's been a while since we used any fluorescent lighting on a project.

My drop kitchen ceiling lights are 4 foot long fluorescent tubes that last less than 2 years. The ends become dark and the lights flicker. I'm not sure if it's the transformers burning the bulbs or the bulbs are inferior quality. Maybe both.

I have florescent tubes in my garage, which has been burning continuously for more than 8 yrs. ( I never turn it off, maybe that why they last).

I just submitted a letter to the electric company about an energy audit, (they don't do it in this area).

I know what the problem is, the lights on the porch, and back of the house and a light pole in the back yard, on the shed, In the den and over my desk, burn 24/7

The ones on the porch, I bought a timer switch for porch and back of house, (which turned out to be not what it claims, so the lights stay on,)

I'll have to install the dusk to dawn sensors, or replace the lights with the sensor built in. the one that continues to go out, is on the side of the garage, it has a dusk to dawn built in sensor, but this light burns out 3 times as fast as the other.
I had a halogen on the other side of the house, but the wattage usage was too high, so I changed it out, to a motion sensor only. actually I have on of these on each side of the house.

the ceiling fan and lights in the den, I leave on in the day for the dogs, plus there is a pole lamp that burns 24/7 I guess I need to put a timer on it.
I set the air around 80 during the day for the dogs, the light over the stove burns 24/7, I have a Zero Degree Freezer, in the laundry room and a side by side in the kitchen.

my computer stays on, in sleep mode, and a few other things, seem to be on...
so I will have to sit down and do an audit.

I read an article, about the computer controlled units, but it was talking about how hackers have found a way to access computers through these things.

I know my printer has its own IP so, I keep it turned off unless I expect a fax, or need to use it. ( I don't print stuff like I use to).

I have to install new lawn lights, but this time I want it done right. but I have to consider having the tree removed completely first.

then comes having tile installed.

It's time for lots of work to be done.

It's amazing how many things need to be adjusted.

I want to install this generator, it cost $3500 and can be set up to run on Natural Gas, Petro, and I want to find out if it has the ability to be run by solar+battery...
I don't like it when the weather causes the power to go out.
