When truth hides in plain sight, Unsuspected...

People sit back and focus on the US, while the NORDIC Regional countries silently buy and peddle influence and make agreement of many sort. You don't think the high income per capita of the Nordic region is because they are such great producers of goods and services only would be under a false illusion, because their reach and influence is Global. they have many level of influence investment which gives them a control position in so much of commodities in so many countries, and they let others nations do the dirty work in the streets, while they reap the benefits and remain silent so as not to attract any attention.
Would one think that the Swiss Banks sit on Trillions of Dollars, and they no use it to peddle and barter influence and change the direction of countries course and aims.
Most people are oblivious of the vast holding the Dutch have in America and many other nations, and many of the nations with high strife, especially in the African continent, is directly linked to Nordic Nations and their Influences. Sweden do not live well because they are great producers of anything that is world renown, but they control a great many natural resources from a many various countries.

Mis-direction is the greatest source of power gathering in the world, and the Nordic Regional Nations are experts at it.

I think people would be amazed to find out how much power these Nordic Nations control in Hong Kong.. but its fine with them to throw the focus on the US. because they can continue to rule the roost and China will play along with them, because they have deep investments in China as well.

If you think the propaganda is not well paid for to insure the attention is deflected from these Nordic Nations. then one is not aware of the powers that influence much of the variables not on in Asian, but the Asian Pacific Region, the African nations and they have great powers in Europe as well. I think the world will be shocked to awaken to the string pulling that is actually taking place by the least suspected places.

Banking and Insurance influences a great deal, and it has the intel of what takes place, before the deal is done. > That = POWER AND THE ABILITY TO INFLUENCE.

I would suggest to the readers, to go and look at the investment and investment strategies of the Nordic Regional Nations... it will give you a picture of the power and influence they have around the globe.

Faroe Islands
Greenland
Finland
Åland Islands
Iceland
Norway
Sweden

The Nordic countries have a combined area of around 3,5 million square kilometres and therefore the geography of the Nordic countries is extremely varied. Even without Greenland and the Norwegian islands of Svalbard and Jan Mayen, the remaining part of the Nordic countries covers a vast area of around 1,3 million square kilometres. This area is around the same size as France, Germany and Italy together. The area is so vast that it is situated on five time zones. To the east the region borders Russia and on the west the Canadian coastline can be seen from Greenland on a clear day. To the south the countries neighbor the Baltic States, Poland, Germany and the United Kingdom while to the North there is the Arctic Ocean

All Nordic countries have long traditions of being well-established parliamentary democracies. Denmark, Norway and Sweden have a political system of constitutional monarchy, in which a nonpolitical monarch acts as head of state and the de facto executive power is exercised by a cabinet lead by a prime minister.

Switzerland has the highest nominal wealth per adult (financial and non-financial assets) in the world according to Credit Suisse and eighth-highest per capita gross domestic product on the IMF list.
Swiss citizens have the second-highest life expectancy in the world on the UN DESA list. Switzerland is tied with the Netherlands for the top rank on the Bribe Payers Index.
Zürich and Geneva have each been ranked among the top cities with the highest quality of life in the world, with the former coming second globally according to Mercer.
Past history shows Switzerland was an important base for espionage by both sides in the conflict and often mediated communications between the Axis and Allied powers.

The World Economic Forum's Global Competitiveness Report currently ranks Switzerland's economy as the most competitive in the world,while ranked by the European Union as Europe's most innovative country. For much of the 20th century, Switzerland was the wealthiest country in Europe by a considerable margin (by GDP – per capita).] In 2007 the gross median household income in Switzerland was an estimated 137,094 USD at Purchasing power parity while the median income was 95,824 USD. Switzerland also has one of the world's largest account balances as a percentage of GDP.

Unfortunately, many subjects as such people avoid the pursuits of really exploring variables.

In much of general conversational society, people absorb a great amount of time in current interpersonal social things, along with the great deficit of emotional happiness; people are despaired for relationships until it consumes a great amount of their energies. I have friends I infrequently visit, they like telling jokes and talking about the mishaps of each others mis adventures, or some events that may have thrilled their entertainment needs. Which is all cool, But, I like content which relates to the influencing elements that impact our lives, and the more we divert to deny or avoid them, the more challenging the impacts become. This is true for those with and without financial resources.

History tells many things and within its telling, it has many things which one has to find the key words that unlock the unspoken elements.

These matters within this particular post, matter much, because of the mis-information being spread about what is within the influences of the current events in Hong Kong, but certainly are not limited to just the Hong Kong Mainland China, but has relevancy to the entirety of the the conflicts that are inter-connected which current sweep the globe with near destabilizing subsequences.

What does amaze men, is so many speak so much about their educations, their degree and their university history, but they seem not to have interest to utilize that learning in the discovery of what exist and what transpires behind the curtain of media convolutions.

Take areas like Sweden,
(Quote)
Most immigration in the 1950s and 1960s was from neighboring Nordic countries, with the largest numbers coming from Finland. However, since the early 1970s, immigration has consisted mainly of refugee migration and family reunification from non-European countries in the Middle East and Latin America. In the 1990s, Sweden received thousands of refugees from the former Yugoslavia. Currently, about 12 percent of Sweden's population is foreign born.

A number of social indicators show that people of migrant origin have considerably higher rates of unemployment than native Swedes and that they are more heavily dependent on social welfare benefits. Labor immigration is not and will not be accepted from non-EU countries in this situation.

Switzerland:
[Quote]
The government acted on April 24 by invoking a “safeguard clause” it included in its 1999 agreement with the E.U., which allows the Swiss to set immigration quotas to ensure that the country lets in only the workers it needs. It plans to issue a maximum of 2,180 long-term permits for migrants from eastern E.U. countries like Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary and the Baltic nations, and 53,700 for immigrants from West European states.
Restrictions will be in effect for one year, since the agreement gives Swiss authorities the right to unilaterally impose quotas only until May 31, 2014. The government has not announced its plans beyond this date, but since immigration is a hot-button topic in Switzerland — with right-wing groups calling for a major overhaul of the immigration policy — the Swiss could hold a national referendum in the first few months of 2014 to extend the clause.

As a member of the Federal Council, the Social Democrats, has been critical of the quota system, claiming, along with other left-leaning groups like the Greens and the trade unions, that immigrants have had a positive impact on the Swiss economy. However, populist groups like the right-wing Swiss People’s Party (SVP) argue that migrants go to Switzerland mainly to claim welfare benefits and subsidized housing, even though there are no statistics to support this claim.
[End Quote}

Policies like Sweden and Switzerland, are entrenched, to assure they retain their standard of living at all cost, and use migrant labor on as it is able to help support the lifestyle Swedes and Swiss people, beyond that, it retains its restrictive policies.

The rules on immigration are very strict. Your nationality is important: citizens of the 15 pre-2004 EU member states and of EFTA countries face fewer restrictions than citizens from the rest of the world.

It is almost impossible for non-EU nationals to find work in Switzerland: they need to be highly qualified and able to perform a job that no Swiss person can do. Without a job arranged in advance, you cannot take up residence.

Yet, in these small excerpts- there is no place that it addresses the Asian and Asian Pacific people, nor the allowance or interest in their immigrant status accessibility.
Again, WHEN TRUTH HIDE IN PLAIN SIGHT, Unsuspected.

You don't hear a global backlash against these countries for their restrictive immigration policies, it is a non general discussed topic. Yet, they manage to retain these policies without any negative mass media backlash. Nothing is said about the "nationality restrictions' which remain intact and a high standard of excursionist policy which entails inability to gain employment, as a deterring element of the nationality exclusions. .
What is more amazing, is you can be allowed to open a bank account and make deposits, as there are many private organisations which will help you open an account;

It sums up without directly saying, "your money is welcomed", but you stay at your own homeland.

Contrast that against all the negativity toward America;

It's amazing how there is such a negativity toward America, yet, America is far less restrictive when it comes to Immigrations.

People from across the globe come "to America" for many reasons and they build their futures.
Does anyone wonder why these Nordic Regional Countries with their wealth and influence; All the while their tentacles are embedded in other parts of the world in resource aims, trade agreements, Yet, they have restrictive limits on who they let in. And whom they employ among those they let in?

I think the Anti-America minded Chinese and Other around the globe, may need to open their minds eye, to see with a more discerning awareness, rather than a critical focus.

An interesting tool for some over-view snapshots- The Observatory of Economic Complexity is a tool that allows users to quickly compose a visual narrative about countries and the products they exchange.

It does not show the actual National Country of Ownership Position in the commodities being imported. It can be of inquiry, as to ownership position through direct and collateral investments, therefore it is open to investigation, to surmise the status of ownership % of some of the commodities being imported, which invariably can also be heavily owned by the country who is doing the importation.

    Quoting  :

I like and enjoy engaging in discussion about subject matter, but as you say, "the silence is deafening"

I even ponder often the "high" chatter about education status and degree ranking often put forth as a criteria base for association. But, I think that is mostly related to Job/Income measurement, more than an interest in knowledge and information and/or the interactive discussion about variables of subject matter about the particularity of things.

Therefore, it may say much as to why, "The silence is deafening"
