I don't see the choice to use this

Uber - the ride program via phone app... I just don't think I'd be using this service.
there are to many weird people in the world, to randomly trust whom ever responds to a request for a ride.

I guess its something the metro crowd would utilize.... I'm just not willing to be in that crowed.

IF I want a Taxi, I want it to be from a company that specialize in being a Taxi Company. Then I will text the cab number and any other ID, to someone so they know which taxi I was in, depending on how far I plan to ride.

For me: SAFETY FIRST... the gimmicks I can do without.

New sad news,

2-year-old accidentally kills his mom in Wal-Mart

HAYDEN, Idaho (AP) — A 2-year-old boy accidentally shot and killed his mother after he reached into her purse at a northern Idaho Wal-Mart and her concealed gun fired, authorities said Tuesday.

Veronica J. Rutledge, 29, was shopping with her son and three other children, Kootenai County sheriff's spokesman Stu Miller said. Rutledge was from Blackfoot in southeastern Idaho, and her family had come to the area to visit relatives.

She had a concealed weapons permit. Miller said the young boy was left in a shopping cart, reached into his mother's purse and grabbed a small-caliber handgun, which discharged one time.

Deputies who responded to the Wal-Mart found Rutledge dead, the sheriff's office said.

"It appears to be a pretty tragic accident," Miller said.

The victim's father-in-law, Terry Rutledge, told The Associated Press that Veronica Rutledge "was a beautiful, young, loving mother."

"She was not the least bit irresponsible," Terry Rutledge said. "She was taken much too soon."

Very sad and tragic story... I can understand many people carry concealed weapons, its such an unfortunate accident.
We were just discussing yesterday, the matter of having a round chambered or not chambered.
Generally in a lie of death situations, it is better to have the round chambered, but it also would be beneficial to have a safety button. Some guns do not have a safety button.

Pharmacist, I fail to see any connection with your comment and this blog about transportation.

Trusty, recently on the local morning radio talk show they discussed statewide changes where Uber drivers can get arrested and having the vehicle towed... especially if they pickup or drop rides at the airport.

The drivers are not licensed/insured to operate 'for-hire' in the state. It's cutting into profits that affect the county and cabs.

As far as cost, I know a woman who uses Uber because the fare is 1/3 the cost of a taxi. Ask any student with a part-time job if they can afford $40 a day for transportation.

Since the Uber drivers are linked to a PayPal or debit card and their vehicle information is on file. The rider has a choice to decline a ride offer (before confirming the ride) if they don't like the details.

chatillion:

FYI, I am NOT a pay member here, I can't initiate an email on AFF. However, I like to talk with beyond fantasy through blogs. I came to his blogs from time to time. We talked about many topics that involved with "gun", so when I read the mental-ill guy shot his whole family and killed himself, I used "beyond fantasy" latest blog to tell him the "current events". That's the way, I can communicate with beyond fantasy.

I am NOT interest in talking about Uber taxi service, I have nothing to say about "Uber", but I want to share the most recent event. That's all.

This is none of your business how I communicate with beyond fantasy. He knows I am NOT a member. He has responded many of my blogs. I appreciate his comments on my blogs from time to time.

Okay ?

Blog is a "tool" for me to communicate with bloggers. I am NOT a paid member and can't read anyone's profile or initiate email correspondence.

I have NOT found anyone on AFF, but whole bunch of scammers. I am disappointed. That's why I didn't subscribe.

I was a paid member in 2004 and 2008.

I think you don't mind I "copy & paste" current events to your blog that talk about Uber taxi car. I have my own car and probably won't need Uber taxi service. I am NOT interested in this topic. I simply want to let you know what had happened yesterday about "AirAsian", "a baby killed his mom by accident at a WalMart" and a guy shot his whole family and 2 kids then he committed suicide in Edmonton, Canada where I have been to.

That's all. Do you care? Does it really need to talk about Uber car ONLY? I don't think so.
