The Debate


Instead of quality issue concern, it seem the Debate was more interested in 'who would be the most controversial, and what firebrand comments would be uttered".

Geez....

We learned absolutely nothing about anything positive for the nation. they want to take Health Care from millions, and have nothing to replace it with, Jeb Bush wants to dismantle Medicare and Social Security, with a claim of modifying it, but I'm not interested in seeing another Bush in the Office of President. 2 Bush's Family Members is more than Enough
Huckabee is just not what American needs in a Presidential Office !!!! Ohio's Governor seemed more realistic.
Trump is Trump - His focus is and remains about restoring economic growth, I like that aspect of aim, but what and how would he deal with other things.

I think they forget, Congress ALWAYS GETS IN THE WAY, and stagnate things and make any changes difficult no matter what is proposed.

They slam Obama, but none of them have faced a nation on the brink of economic calamity as did Obama- and still he got many other things done and got the economy back on solid ground. all while having to fend off rabid tea party and republican assaults.

some like to invoke Reagan, but won't speak about the drug proliferation under Reagan, or the dumping of Millions of Mentally Ill people in the streets or the many tax hikes and his outrageous assaults on taking money from higher education, they won't even mention how he practically devastated the UC education system in California. Or the underhanded way he fought the Central America War at the expense of the poor communities being flooded with drugs.

Clinton has prosperity, but he gave away massive industry to Asian Nations with the single word - "Outsource" being the buzz word of his term, followed by the disaster Free Trade Agreements.

SO....... the idealistic aims of Candidates is more for public showmanship, than dealing with the reality of what the office and job truly entails to get things done.

The Candidate's seem to have forgotten, Bush set up the timetable to exit Iraq, long before even the 2008 Presidential Race was underway. They forgot to mention, there was no plan or strategy to move all the weapons, equipment back, nor to secure the equip that was left, so the radical seized it, and rose up. We moved equip there for a decade, and sadly it ended up in the wrong hands.

I do like the idea of stopping the 'give away of billions of dollars" to so many foreign countries" that money should be invested in rebuilding America. We are blind to the growth in so many nations, who do not give billions to anyone.

What should a debate truly be about? may need to be a question before they televise any more debates ? ! ?

Every system is a form of socialism- We have a capitalist system, which has become an oligarchy, it has had components of everything wrapped up in what it is over the span of its time. We function as if to be a Plutocracy with the wealthy trying more and more to buy the office of President.
We've had a communist flavor in the system, in the way it treated black and other minorities. Controls and limitation imposed by hard handed policy and trying to ration out insufficient staples and denied opportunity for autonomy of individuals.
We have the wealthy who want to give themselves the stature as if they are controlling a Monarchy.
Slavery and indentured servitude functioned as a totalitarianism system, in which the state holds total control over the society and seeks to control all aspects of public and private life wherever possible as it did over black people, Native American for over 400 yrs.
We try to have a Federalist system, that is often fought against by the State that make up the Federation of States.
We've had a Dictatorship, where whites for Centuries Dictated over blacks and Native American, as well as other minorities.
We've mixed in a Welfare State- a system whereby the government undertakes to protect the health and well-being of its citizens, especially those in financial or social need, by means of grants, pensions, and other benefits; and this has been fought against by the Oligarchy's, it has been attacked by the wanna be Monarachy, and it is despised by those who want to return to the Dictatorship, by Republican Organizations over the poor and minorities and women.
The cycle continues- while it proclaims itself a Democracy. void of knowing it can't be a true democracy, until it decides to stop trying to be a Plutocracy, Monarchy, a Dictatorship led communist camp over the poor, minorities and women. and give up the aspiration to be a and become a full blown Oligarchy.

It's can't figure these things out, because after the Civil War, it never banished those who aspired to the Antebellum Ideology of the Confederate South, which espoused in every way it could to be all of these things - and proclaiming white people to be the monarchy, who lead by acts of Oligarchic mentality, in building a plutocratic model, while engaging in Dictatorial habits against and upon the poor, minorities and women. It spent centuries and decades disenfranchising women, minorities and the dire poor and working poor, All summing up to a Class Driven model of imbalances. All the while pushing Capitalism to squash Democracy....

China and other nations will continue to kick out butts, because not only do they first and foremost see all their people as being Chinese. America still does not want to consider all its people as American. It was to continue the old system of a wealth class and a service class... and tries to hide and cover it up, with the insufficient aims to pretend to have compassion of a welfare state, when it simply relegated people to a continuation of impoverishment by the dictatorial limitations placed on those who receive any form of welfare.

Anything !!!! and Everything is for sale in America. Because we don't understand the value of sustainable industry, nor do we have a passion for economic equilibrium for all to engage and prosper.

When a system can't figure out what it will be and what it can be, it functions with cyclic chaos.

Of all we've been and all that still is part of what we are... we still are a great nation, still striving to define and learn what it is to become a true democracy. It is very difficult to be so, in a Capitalistic system, but we continue to plug away at trying to bring fairness in the system.
Money will always have its influences, we just have to continue to manage what and how it influences - This is a massive undertaking, and we are not there yet, but we in many ways do a far better job than a great many nations in pursuing to be and become a democracy built upon and by the voices of the people.

I certainly don't see any of us as American people seeking to go some other place and become dis-connected from being American people.
Of its faults it has done a great deal not only for itself, but for the world, and we will continue pursuing the ideals of Democracy and we will continue understanding and learning how to meet and meld with the principles of the Constitution.

I think it would benefit each citizen to learn and understand what their individuals States "Preamble is, and know what it say's and stand to keep their governance in respect of its own Preamble.
many people simply don't know the value nor the meaning of the individual State's Preamble, in which they live.
All these Preambles, equally so falls in line or should with the Bill of Rights, and that is to meld with the "Preamble" of the Constitution of the United States.

I simply don't like Trump, his attitude, the way he talks. Trump is aggressive, arrogant. My banker CEO said "if Trump won the next President, he (the banker) will move to outside of USA." However, the banker also doesn't like Hillary Clinton either. He doesn't trust her. I don't trust Clinton's emails that combined personal and "top secretes" together and made large sum of money from their public speeches.

My personal opinion, I wish Joe Biden will announce to join the Presidential election. I think I will vote for Joe Biden if he decides to join in Democratic election. The only concern I have is Biden's age. I like Biden for his perseverance spirit. He lost his wife and daughter In Dec 1972 and his eldest son this year. Biden's life is tough, but he is a fighter. He did a good job as VP to Obama.

My banker friend's "look" is very similar to Biden.

We can vote them in but we have to do other things to keep them focused.
If we can't abolish lobbyist and special interest - then we can constrain their direct access to politicians. "Lobbyist should first have to meet with a CITIZEN GROUP -(not with the Congress Person)..... and ALL the lobbyist aims published 3-6 months in national media or have a special website set up where citizens can read what they propose and what they aim.
This affords citizens time to speak their voice to the politician, and the politicians must be bound to uphold the voice of the people.

I say national media, because other regions need to know what is going on in other regions, so as not to be misled or hoodwinked to allow something that has systemic bad results for the citizen population.

I read yesterday a good article on Dr. Frances Oldham Kelsey- she stood in the face of powerful industry oppositions and being challenged by powerful entities, yet she stood against the drug. drug companies painted her as a petty, nit-picking bureaucrat. But she stood her ground.
She was not alone in her fight. Physicians and pharmacologists around the world, as well as inside the FDA, worked to reveal the deadly effects of thalidomide.

It's when people get position and stand their ground on sound principle. she demanded more information, until she could demonstrate this drug was unsafe and caused birth defects.

"Her exceptional judgment in evaluating a new drug for safety for human use has prevented a major tragedy of birth deformities in the United States," President John F. Kennedy remarked at a White House ceremony, at which Dr. Kelsey was given a distinguished federal civilian service award.

Inspired by the drama, regulators created a new branch of the FDA in 1962 for the testing, analysis and approval of new drugs. Dr. Kelsey was put in charge. "

This is a good example of placing people in office who earned the right to hold a position.

The Republican field only demonstrate their basis of disunity-lack of a directed goal and their lack of understanding what is the best trajectory for the United States. the Congress can't bring or pass bills, they gridlocked the system as much as they could over the past 6.5 yrs they were the party that presided over us being embroiled in two long disastrous and debt creating wars. they are the part that started the debt escalation to take off like a rocket, and the collapse of 2007-2008- set in motion the inevitable need for debt accumulation which could not be curbed nor contained. The cost of the war, the economic collapse is still an ongoing unknown figure- the cost of the war wounded is a ongoing cost that has no limits in sight. they were the part who's war aspiration has led to a weakening of the military and the sequester has further weakened the military to levels of madness that is not even remotely reasonable in a world with the levels of instability which has resulted from the Iraq and Afghanistan continuation, not to mention the massive destabilization of Iraq which ripples through the region like a death squad with no sense of human concerns. We got this mess by and through republican ideals and their acts and efforts which drove their aims. We can't to date unwind the messes they have made.

People need not indulge in selective Amnesia with regard to what resulted under their Administration and the long term after effect which is furthered by their occupying congressional office.
The Debate showed they have no solutions, they simply like to bicker, grandstand and create conflict and play let's see who is the biggest bully. Their Republican ideology is dangerous not just for America,the American people but for the world and the world of allied nations. they feed and breed dissension in and across the nation with voter suppression tactics, their attack on the programs which support our senior citizens, their disdain for programs that help and support the poor, and they have a massive disregard for the rights of women as persons and individuals.
It's like they are the party who can be best described as a resurgence of the Antebellum Minded Confederates - who still pursue and aim for as much Antebellum ideology as they can create.

If people know about Antebellum mentality, it provided NOTHING for the poor, the minorities, they saw them purely as the service class to be indentured and when they could no longer provide labor they were relegated to die without medical or any other resources nor did they have concerns for the elders of these groups nor the children. Antebellum ideology was for the wealthy controlling not just the lands but the people, while imposing taxation and every other leverage to feed the coffers of the wealthy. In their system the government was controlled by the wealthy with no quarter of concern or acknowledgment for the poor and minorities or women.

I don't listen to any debate on TV. Those are just noise. I rather listen to my favorite music but NOT waste any time on those debate.

I already made my choice to vote for Joe Biden. If he doesn't announce to enter the election, I won't vote for anyone else.

Today, our VP, Mr. Joe Biden, announced he won't run for President in 2016. So, I won't go to election booth in Nov. 2016.

Mr. Joe Biden is the only person who has the integrity and dignity that I look for. I don't consider any other candidate in Democratic or Republic parties.
