The Honor and Dignity of Dogs vs that of people

It’s a sad day when humans have so little regard for one another that they’ll just pass by the body of a woman who’s died, leaving her in the street to rot. But dogs are on a higher plane than humans.

These eight dogs faithfully surrounded her and held vigil for several hours. There are conflicting reports of the woman’s age; the Daily Mail says she was elderly, but a translation of a Chinese news source calls her a “young woman aged 15.” Nevertheless, she was riding her bicycle near the Jiangxi Institute of Engineering in southeast China with her adopted dogs in tow when she suddenly collapsed and died on the spot.

Police and paramedics arrived, but when they realized she was dead and there was no way to revive her, they departed, leaving her body where it was. She was not moved until much later that night.

She used ride her bike to collect bottles and discarded items to sell to survive, and adopted the street dogs over the years. Her perturbed dogs gathered around her from 4 am until 10 am, seemingly the only souls in the world to care about her life or death.Hopefully someone, or the community, will step in and care for these poor dogs now that they are without the only person in the world who cared about them.

This is a sad story. Canines have good reputation of "loyalty". Human should feel shameful that NOT care about "human life". Where is human's honor and dignity???

It's sad, this site list over 800 people who viewed this post, and only one "compassionate" comment.

People seem to have very little compassion today, but so many talk about love or wanting to find love.
If one is "of" love, then love comes through and it has no reservation of compassion when the distress or injury or other catastrophe has happen to another human being. Especially in situations where they where they are NOT the perp, but simply a victim of catastrophe.

This is a site supposedly about friends and people seeking relation and love, but it seems to have a high degree of impassioned concern about the sadness of such tragedy unto others. I've seen post go silent even about natural disaster which cost lives and disrupt families and individuals.

No wonder so many are rarely find love and only find fancy of the moment or chases built upon vanity and selfish need. People seem to have lost an innate sense of compassion, therefore, the concept of love is not full with the basis which maintains it in the spectrum of all that composes love.

I note even in my dogs, they stay close if they think I'm sick or not feeling well, they find their way to the bedroom to sleep close, and they find their ways to come to any room where they "feel life's presence".

They show grace when their concerns are addressed and they give attention and ask nothing more than to allow them to be compassionate and share their warmth of life.

From the photo, I don't see any bystander. I hope some Samaritan took care of her funeral, if no her relative can find. I see her bicycle is twisted, hope it was NOT a "hit and run" accident. She seemed very young, I don't think it was a "heart attack". Anyway, bystander should take care of her body but NOT left alone on the street for hours. I think her dogs have more moral than human. It was a tragedy. Human should have compassion/ sympathy for less fortunate people.
