People do the same things about black men with white women, or Asian women or Mexican women, and they do the same thing about a variety of mixed ethnic relationships...

Why is there a problem with liking an 'ethnicity" ?

Society is a trip.... there have been and still is, a lot of white men who down-rate a white woman if she is with a black man, or has been with a black man, or if she prefers black men.

There have been and still is, a lot of black men who down-rate a black woman if she is with a white man, or has been with a white man, or if she prefers white men.

And "Etc. any combination of Multi Ethnic Relationships.

Heck, since the days of slavery and the system of white nationalism in America, this bias and bigotry has been made into an ongoing issue with people making their choices.

It took the case of: Loving v. Virginia, 388 U.S. 1 (1967), as a landmark civil rights decision of the United States Supreme Court which struck down all state laws banning interracial marriages.

It's up to people to let go of that bias and racism... America needs to get rid of all the "ideals and systems and concepts that were created to promote white nationalism" and this stuff will go away in the hearts and minds of people, the more it dispense with all that was created to promote white nationalism.

White nationalism is as damaging to white people as it is to every other race of people, when it comes down to it and the ignorance that it promotes.

It's happening more and more each day as to the break down of the madness of "white nationalism" in America. It was never going to be pretty, to see it be done, but its being done. Trump and Republican of today, is like the last stand of the white nationalism of white male dominate is been seen more clearly by people not only in America but around the world, and the people are tired of it, as is the many nations around the world is tired of it.
It has been a damaging ideal that has made many atrocities in America and around the world.

I posted comments in a political forum about it recently.

I used Libya as an example:

(Quote)
With crude oil as the country's primary export, Gaddafi sought to improve Libya's oil sector.[81] In October 1969, he proclaimed the current trade terms unfair, benefiting foreign corporations more than the Libyan state, and by threatening to reduce production. In December Jalloud successfully increased the price of Libyan oil.[82] In 1970, other OPEC states followed suit, leading to a global increase in the price of crude oil.[81] The RCC followed with the Tripoli Agreement of March 20, 1971, in which they secured income tax, back-payments and better pricing from the oil corporations; these measures brought Libya an estimated $1 billion in additional revenues in its first year.[83]

Increasing state control over the oil sector, the RCC began a program of nationalization, starting with the expropriation of British Petroleum's share of the British Petroleum-N.B. Hunt Sahir Field in December 1971.[84] In September 1973, it was announced that all foreign oil producers active in Libya were to see 51% of their operation nationalized. For Gaddafi, this was an important step towards socialism.[85] It proved an economic success; while gross domestic product had been $3.8 billion in 1969, it had risen to $13.7 billion in 1974, and $24.5 billion in 1979.[86] In turn, the Libyans' standard of life greatly improved over the first decade of Gaddafi's administration, and by 1979 the average per-capita income was at $8,170, up from $40 in 1951; this was above the average of many industrialized countries like Italy and the U.K.

In December 1969, Libya signed the Tripoli Charter alongside Egypt and Sudan. This established the Arab Revolutionary Front, a pan-national union designed as a first step towards the eventual political unification of the three nations.[109] In 1970 Syria declared its intention to join " (End Quote)

Western powers did not want to see this go forth.. because it would have removed western influences in the regions.

After the 1969 coup, representatives of the Four Powers—France, the United Kingdom, the United States, and the Soviet Union—were called to meet RCC representatives.[114] The U.K. and the U.S. quickly extended diplomatic recognition, hoping to secure the position of their military bases in Libya and fearing further instability. Hoping to ingratiate themselves with Gaddafi, in 1970 the U.S. informed him of at least one planned counter-coup.[115] Such attempts to form a working relationship with the RCC failed; Gaddafi was determined to reassert national sovereignty and expunge what he described as foreign colonial and imperialist influences. His administration insisted that the U.S. and the U.K. remove their military bases from Libya, with Gaddafi proclaiming that "the armed forces which rose to express the people's revolution [will not] tolerate living in their shacks while the bases of imperialism exist in Libyan territory." The British left in March and the Americans in June 1970

Today, China is no longer willing by any means to submit itself to white nationalism of white male dominance on any level.

The same is true of many nation where the white nationalism imperialism once trampled upon their nations and sought to buy influence over their political, and civic societies.

It should have been abolished in the world long ago, and certainly with the Fall of the British Empire, should have signaled the end and it should have been "vanquished".... and Ethnic and Racial Equality should be the basis of International Diplomacy and how it conduct its regards between nations with nations.

I google that article from Tria Chang regarding "I'm An Asian Woman Engaged To A White Man And, Honestly, I'm Struggling With That", I have no interest in read it till the end. She just tried to write something to get attention that's my opinion. I was/am always with White man and I have no issues with it at all. It really depends on how you see yourself in that relationship. Why need to see how other people think ??

I think it best not to get lost in what other people think... I've had various interracial relations over many years, with various races and I find its just "two people" making a relationship, and their relationship is no one else's business!!!!

I don't have a problem with people choosing whom ever they want to choose, life is very simple if people leave other people alone about who they choose.

I also think human beings have been interracial relating for 1000's of years and they will be doing for in the coming thousands of years.

When this website first started I think a lot of people came to it, because it gave them a means and opportunity to meet people of different racial and ethnic make up...... beause in principle, people want to have the opportunity to choose based on their own likes.

I like Asian women, but I won't label it as if its some fetish... I like women "Period"..... and that means I can and do like women of many nationalities, simply by meeting and engaging them as individual persons.

In the extent of my family's whole... there is a lot of different races in the family and their love is no less than those who married the same race.

There has been in the history of America, some very abuse laws made out of craziness, which cause people damages and troubles in their relations and marriages.

[Quote]
Naim v. Naim, 197 Va 80; 87 S.E.2d 749 (1955), is a case regarding interracial marriage. The case was decided by the Supreme Court of Virginia on June 13, 1955. The Court held the marriage between the appellant (Han Say Naim) and the appellee (Ruby Elaine Naim) to be void under the Code of Virginia (1950).

The appellee, a white woman living in Virginia, and the appellant, a Chinese man not living in Virginia, went to North Carolina to be married on June 26, 1952, specifically because there was a Virginia statute, the Racial Integrity Act of 1924, banning interracial marriage, while North Carolina law banned marriages between whites and blacks but not between whites and Asians.[1] They then returned to Virginia, where they lived as husband and wife.

A year after the marriage, Ruby Naim filed for annulment, as the marriage was in contravention of Virginia's miscegenation laws, with Han Say Naim arguing that a marriage valid in North Carolina was valid throughout the United States. The circuit court of the city of Portsmouth granted an annulment, but Han Say Naim appealed to the state supreme court, which upheld the circuit court's decision.[2]

The Virginia statute stated:

It shall hereafter be unlawful for any white person in this State to marry any save a white person, or a person with no other admixture of blood than white and American Indian. For the purpose of this chapter, the term 'white person' shall apply only to such person as has no trace whatever of any blood other than Caucasian; but persons who have one-sixteenth or less of the blood of the American Indian and have no other non-Caucasic blood shall be deemed to be white persons. All laws heretofore passed and now in effect regarding the intermarriage of white and colored persons shall apply to marriages prohibited by this chapter[3]

Han Say Naim's attorney, David Carliner, attempted to appeal the state's decision to the Supreme Court of the United States, with the backing of the American Jewish Congress, the Japanese American Citizens League, the Association on American Indian Affairs and the Association of Immigration and Nationality Lawyers.[4] The justices, however, refused to consider the appeal,[5] fearing that to do so would further encourage opposition to the enforcement of Brown v. Board of Education.[6] As Justice Tom C. Clark said, "one bombshell at a time is enough."[7] [End Quote]

This was during the time period all across America, Confederate Statues and Monuments were built and placed..... as symbols to embolden white nationalism.

It's as much a part of why in this day and time ... people want those Statues and Monuments Removed along with Names of Building that Promote that same ideal to be removed.

The Future will continue to break down the biases and bigotry in society, not just in America but other nations as well.... where people can choose freely, whom they want to be with, have their children and make their lives.

No one should have to second guess their love, because of other peoples likes or dislike or objections or any influence from others.

Wo, China town and Chinese restaurant are tiny world within Chinese community especially the woman you dated was from that Chinese society that she may not want any rumors spreading around about she was dating you. Similarly, her ex may be from Chinese society too. I have no connection with China town and Chinese society here but I overheard all those saying while shopping in Chinese supermarket they may think I can't understand their language. The best thing to verify if that Chinese woman are single, is to take her to China town and Chinese restaurant, in case she refuses it, you need to think again.
