 You can use those text message abbreviations, as long as it doesn't cheapen the message. Say you are texting to say you are thinking of her. Don't write, "I am sending this text message because I am thinking of you and want you to know I am thinking of you." Instead, simply type: "Hey Lovely, Thinking of U!"
