Yes, back when I was growing up in the 70's marijuana was the choice recreational drug. It was cheaper to buy and if you carried just one cigarette, you won't get arrested. The laws today are more strict since the DEA is clamping down on the whole drug trade. Medical marijuana should be legalized under federal law. It's still illegal to grow it in the U.S. Some states have voted and legalized medical marijuana to treat pain when a person has cancer or is ill. I'm seeing more medical marijuana store ads in the papers. It can be baked into cookies or put into soup too. If we legalize it then the growers, and sellers would need to pay their state and federal taxes on the income. So it could bring in billions of dollars to the needed U.S. debt. Please read current stories and MSNBC has some TV programs how medical marijuana has affected in making a few people rich. Hemp was grown by the colonists in the 16th Century, but later tabacco overruled as the major cash crop in those days. Hemp can be used to make rope, sacks, clothes, handbags. I also read an article how hemp milk, ice cream is becoming at Whole Foods and oher health food stores. It's legal to grow hemp in Canada.  Sugi Dancer, Dating Coach
