Black and Asian Together??

Are there a lot of Asian men that like black women? Is there a lot of racism towards African American's from Asian's? I heard a lot of different things and I want to know what you think.

I was actually in a relationship with an Asian guy for 2 years and I am an African American women mixed with Asian also but I identify with my African American side more because I never had contact with my father and fathers' side of the family. But when people see me they will initially write me off as black because of my skin color but when they look at my face they see that I have slanted eyes and wonder what I am.

With that being said, I dated this Asian guy and one day we were talking on the phone and he had me on speaker phone. I heard his mom in the background asking if he was talking to a black girl and he answered yes. His mom changed to her native language and they started arguing. He was saying "because I like black girls mom who cares," back to her. She seemed really angry that he was dating a black girl.

So the day came for me to meet his racist mom and his family. His brother was also racist I came to find out. So when I meet her she started asking me why I have slanted eyes and I resemble Asians features and I told her I was mixed with some Asian. After that she treated me very kind and excepted me. But to me I may be mixed with Asian but I will never Identify myself as anything but African American and I have pride in being African American. I made me mad that in order for her to except me I had to have Asian in me. So are most Asians racist? What is the deal?

Also I am very attracted to Asian men and I experience when I date Asian guys and we walk around together I get a lot of racism from other Asians. They would give us dirty looks.

And on the other had I don't know how to feel being mixed with Asian and having so many Asians not except me because I am Black. I know that I could never go up to a group of Asians and feel like I am one of them but I know that I could go up to a group of Blacks and feel i am one of them.

There are lot of Asians who are more racist than the Confederate Mentality of the Old South... and some Asian want to prove to some white people that they are as much white as they can be, by being as obstinate and racist not only toward blacks, but some are racist against other Asians who are of darker skin.

Sometimes people are afraid to face their own bullies among their own ethnicity, because a lot of racist people easily bully many non-racist people to engage in bigotry and passive acceptance of the ideal of racist people.

Back during Segregation many non racist white people were bullied into supporting racist ideal for fear of reprisals from the racist segment..

the same is true in many cultures.. where people go along with racism because the racist people are generally bullies of others. they use put down commentary, brash sarcasm and there are a great many who will resort to violence at the slights implication of being confronted about their racism.

After Civil Right Act... many of the non racist whites quickly stood up and spoke about how ignorant and horrible racism is and was,. but many also know they would have been fired by racist bosses if the boss felt they did not support his or her racist views.

Take notice in any place.. Racist people are quick to bully others and they are quicker to engage some nature of malice even if it has to be done very covertly, they have no apprehension to engage their ignorance.

No person should ever let any racist person bully them... but don't be foolish to mis judge the violence of racist people especially when they are in a crowd of like minded supporters of their racism.. because they will engage in turning into a mob and their violence to them become a humor game the more brutal they can act out their violent aggressions.

Ignore racist people.. they love to try and make people submit to their racism, but they can't deal with people who ignore their racism.. they don't know what to do... and some are so shallow minded they attack when they are can't deal with people not submitting to their racism..

In the early 70 I had many different ethnic girlfriends.. and people would look and have their attitudes, but I would always tell the girl, "Ignore them" and go about your business, because we have the same equal right to be any place just as those who stare feel they have the right... I would not allow peoples eyes and attitudes to influence me.. nor to make me not appreciate who I am and whom I'm with..

I could care less about what other people think about the woman I choose or the male friends I choose to be friends with..
I've had many whit male friends who could not stand other white people who acted with prejudice, and they did not mind telling them so if the person bothered them.

Realize people who are racist don't know you, so why should you submit to anything they wish to impose upon or against you...

Generally you can defeat them with intelligence.. because if you ever notice, they have nothing to say, except a litany of put down comments and some rude sarcasms... It's easy to brush that ignorance off and go about your business.

Don't try to play up to the mother or the brother if they are racist, just be yourself, they will either come to respect you, or they will do their own effort to stay out of your way and they will make their own ways to avoid you... and that is a good things, because you don't have to deal with them.. you owe them nothing.

If people want a good movie that shows the ignorance of Racism...
Watch the Movie "ROSEWOOD"...

Some may simply 'google', captions of the 1950's in how every other ethnicity was 'omitted' from TV commercials and major film.

for more info YouTube some video of the abuse towards blacks during the 1960's pre civil rights, and review some of the cases where blacks were attacked because racist whites wanted to deny them the opportunity of equality as person and accessibility.

We can look at Rawanda and see intra ethnic bigotry at its worst, and we can see the cultural bigotry at its worst in Bosnia and Serbia...

We can see political Bigotry at its worst in the Pol Pot killing fields of Cambodia.

Currently one can see in any Muslim nation religious bigotry and religious fanaticism in the daily bombing and the harsh climate of religious persecutions in general daily living, which Denys the freedoms of individuals to individuals..

The human being can be and is the worst of beast on the earth, but can be capable of some of the greatest compassion on earth...

Selfish Ignorance and the vain want to dominate and dictate is the culprit, as well as the greed and lust to gain material value at the expense of abusing others.

Racial persecution in the US history is no different than the religious persecution of the Muslim against people who don't adopt their belief and customs, and it was and in some ways is as demeaning to individual as is the way some religions take away all rights and freedoms of persons from women.

During America pre Civil Rights, in the middle of what was suppose to be a Democracy, we had a Tyrannical system driven by racism, we had a communistic system which was supported by racism targeted at minorities, we had a monarchical system which used and abused minorities to enrich the whites ... These things have not been abolished, Not in America nor any place on the earth..

Imagine how enchanted people are with the image and reality of a Panda, but you don't see the Panda destroying itself because it is black and white, what we see is a the remarkable beauty of the Panda 'because" it is black and white... it becomes an enchanting beauty that all the world delights in viewing.

No matter where in the world one goes, when people see mixed race children they are always uniquely beautiful, because they are blend of multi cultural existence.

As many black people in America, many including myself is a mixture of many ethnic blends over a long span of time. the funny thing about America is, there were many mixed babies that grew up to claim themselves white and married into families that were core racist, but they never knew the difference because they could not discern that the person has black blood in their veins..

The funniest thing in America is this:

Be careful whom you disrespect, because you never know who may be your generational cousin..

The same hold true in China, because clans have been mixed over many centuries, with one group conquering the other and impregnating each other and few even know what a basic Chinese is, because one cannot tell which clan existed first. And every clan in the continent that have historically been born there, is and has a right to be called Chinese.

the truly amazing thing about the human being, it does not matter where they come from on this planet.. they can all connect and procreate and new human beings are born... We can all love and love is love is love... between any and all people who share it..

the history of Black nations and Asian nations and European nations as well as East Asian has a connection that far predates many of the interactive relations between the spread of North America Racism.. but there has been European Racism which infected much of the globe during the time of the British rule... but before than there was the Roman Empire and before that, the many other empires that spread bigotry... via conquest...

    Quoting Kelesias:
I am right now in China and I can tell that there is some discrimination against black people. It does no go very far (no acts of violence)... it is more like a diffuse feeling of distrust and misunderstanding of alterity. Put it simply, black people have bad reputation. Some think it is related to a few cases of black people dealing drugs near some prestigious universities (so information spread even if it is not a major phenomenon)... But I think it is more related to bad stereotypes in general and fear of the "unknown". Moreover, Chinese people value pale skin (particularly for women) so it is one more problem... I still think that the world cup in South Africa has improved the image of black people in Chinese cities. But it is difficult to measure this.

By the way, here is a good article about this issue:
    http://asiafriendfinder.com
It is not top notch sociology but provides interesting information.
By the way, there is an article about black people
Basic color itself is a form of mystery, and many emotional connections within the minds of people, black being the darkest of all colors, is like life, people find many fears imagined long before they venture into the dark, but in life, more people are harmed in the bright light of day, than in the dark of night.
black even in our lives is used always as foundational stability tones, The vital part of a car, which all else about the car becomes useless without its tires, and yet, tires are generally black in color.. We feel safe on driving on black roads, and the exotic natural of ebony evokes as much passion as the bright white of Ivory...

We all would do well to learn that all the colors are necessary in the spectrum of life.
We as people could learn a lot from animals, they are many various colors, but they seem to have little over-dominating concern about it, they are more concerned about the dispositions of each other. As with animals, they seek to find some level of communion among their species, and many times, left alone they build communion across species and color is never a factor in their selective engagements.

Who cares about skin colour and other differences between Asian, Caucasian and African/American people? I don't do so and hate racism.

I guess the problem for the old-fashioned parents are the rumors from earlier times and the fact that many have never seen and met one from abroad.

Ahh the history and oppression based on looks. I doubt it will end, even though it is always sad. Fortunately, society grows and things get better, at least I like to think so. Just do what makes you most happy, and those who can not accept your happiness probably never will be able to accept the person you really are.
