Aging It is my birthday today based on the Chinese lunar calendar. When I was 20, I thought 30 was too far away, then 30, 40 seemed to be far away, too. But now, 50 will be soon. Looking forward to growing up is the right merely for . I now never think time goes slowly. On the contrary, time has been fleeting and makes us old, taken away lots of things regardless of the best or the worst. Yet it rewarded us with others as well. A Chinese saying says, life begins at forty, which means when you are 40 you are wise enough of everything, have no doubt, no questions anymore. I don't think I am wise enough, however it is much better than when I was young for sure. I am afraid of getting old just like most women in this world, Yet sometimes I think, if one can choose, does she want to be keeping young and ignorant or getting old and wise naturally? I want to be wise instead of ignorant, though aging is the price. I leave no trace of wings in the air, but I am glad I have had my flight. ---- Rabindranath Tagore |

Happy Birthday to you. I look at my age posted in the profile and see my pictures there and and feel very very lucky that I have taken care of myself and my ancestors did to. I just cannot relate to my age. There is still that little boy in my head that wants to go out and play soccer and whack a baseball. Yes, somethings are broken but I can still walk and run and enjoy life. So many my age cannot. And I bless the guys who died when I did not in the battles I have seen. The empty pages of history are written by the happy people.

Growing old in mandatory, growing up is optional. Age is just a number. Works for me.

Thanks. Best wishes to your father and you. the amazing thing is their thoughts connect with reality of things happening today, they may not agree to all of it, but they certain are aware. some days I feel 30 something, some days I feel 40 something, I've not felt like a teenager lately ... but I do try to keep my mind and spirit connected to the wonders of life.. and find something new everyday to be inspired about. I'm pretty much duty focused during many days because of how I work, but I always find time to laugh about something.

young beauty is always a delight to view..and young girls can be very humorous as well as their curious interest can be inspiring, because they open up new ways to look at things. It may not be the wisest angle of perspective, but it is what it is. I've always had good relations with young women. but I have equally good relations with older women as well... as people we all change in many ways, our ideas and our ways of managing ourselves. its evident that beauty is living.. so within all the span of our age, there is many phases of beauty... we just have to know it, and embrace it.

Hi Beyondfantasy, I always find I don't know what to say in response to your post. You are so eloquent, always have lots of words to say. But I have to say I sometimes agree with you but sometimes not. So if I debate with you next time I hope you will not be angry...  Though it's not an easy thing, cause my English is not good enough to help me express what I really want to say, unless I use Chinese.

Happy Birthday... pretty and youth is a fleeting things, often times it is encased in a flighty mind, the mirror makes much madness which produces many phases of sadness for the pretty and youth ones. If they survive to become older and gain wisdom, if they have not abused themselves in their acts and efforts to misuse and abuse the attentions from men, then she will have maintained herself with dignity and embrace integrity and she will know then how to be a honest woman and what it really means to share. Young women often times are in love with the illusions of themselves based on their delusion of thinking sex can win them the world, and many come to find out not only do they not get the world, they find themselves lost within it, and worn down in ways they become jaded about life. Bitter at the experiences within living and vengeful at others for the things she's often times done to herself through her mischievous gambit games. Thank the goodness of Gods graces that you have survived to live past that age of such things. you don't have to change how you look everyday, you have learned what is your style and what is your manner, and you can project and live with the integrity of being a honest person for the simple sake of being a honest person. Thus so, is what brings forth the best of woman.
