Frozenfirefly... according to Wikipedia, Keep On Loving You was released in November 1980 and the 17th song played on MTV's first broadcast day August 1st, 1981. Making it 34 years ago. 2014511, you were 2 years old when it became a hit song!

Interesting. I just heard this song last night while driving home from my fathers 90th birthday. It's about a 175 mile drive, so I found a classic rock station and that was the first song they played. It is definitely a classic rock song and sound. REO Speedwagon was very popular in the Midwest of the United States and that song made them popular nationwide. "When I said that I love you, I meant that I love you forever". Always a winning line in a song.
