How old is old

The other day I was taking a walk at park and came across a man who was walking his and we started talking. He said he was from India and he is 70 years old. He and his wife came to visit their .
Then we talked about the community and he said it’s a very good community, by illustrating his recent experience. He said that one day he was walking and suddenly there was a heavy rain. It was so strong that he could not keep walking, so he just stood by the roadside, waiting for the rain to be over. Then a car stopped by him and a stranger ask him “ Where do you live? Come jump to my car I will drive you home.” So the stranger drove him home in the heavy rain.
I was thinking maybe it’s an old man, because they know better what the situation means for a man of this age. So I asked: “Is he old?”
He India man replied: “ No, he is not old, he is of my age.”
The India man is seventy years old.
I remember reading statistics that by definition, people who are 60 years old and older are categorized as “old people”.
Obviously this seventy years old man does not think he should be categorized into “old people”.
We 60 plus maybe old by definition, but we don’t really think we are old.
We look for our better half among people who are younger, because we think we match that group of people, and we want to see our better half as young.
Our physical appearance does not match our psychological age. We can be 60 plus but still have a young heart, even though other people don’t take us as young.
So how old is old?
How can we find our better half who can "see" the young heart of ours, and ignore our age and the appearance that does not represent a young heart.

I'm beyond 60, I don't feel old in spirit, I am wise enough to know what things I can and cannot do physically the way I did it in younger years.

Two and a half years ago I was laid off from a place I'd worked for 8 years as a trainer. I was among 250 employees laid off as our jobs were sent overseas. So, my question to myself was, now what? I was assigned an counselor from a state organization to help people find work. She asked me, "What do you really want to do in life? Let's dream big, what would it be?" I told her I would really like to learn acupuncture and Chinese medicine, having no real idea what that meant. I thought, maybe a few classes and I could poke people with needles and make them feel better. Ha ha! I learned it actually requires a Masters Degree. I told my counselor, this is what I wanted to do. I qualified for a federal program for retraining and last spring completed my AA degree as a Medical Assistant. The first step. I'm currently working at an orthopedic surgery clinic as a Medical Assistant while continuing to take classes as a full time student toward my BA degree, which I'm paying for myself. I'll be 72 by the time I can practice Chinese medicine. I plan on doing this for at least 10 years after that. Just living my life.
