I miss my beloved doggie

So sad this morning before 11 am while I was busy in the kitchen, a taho vendor passed by. He called me to tell that there was something happening to my dog. I rushed out of the house.I hurriedly carry him back to the house and observed what's happening to him after a few minutes he died
My has been in treatment for 3 weeks... he got flu first then had throw-ups...
Then I brought him to vet and he was given enough medication, even at home I gave him medicines prescribed for him... i was happy last week he was eating again and I spoiled him to eat more...after work I always have some food for my doggie and he liked it ..i gave him vitamins..he ate more than me....gave all his favorite food................ I thought he was okay.
But I noticed his last 2 legs were swelling.. seemed like a kidney problem .
My had suffered for not walking well. i had to carry him everywhere ..My doggie has been with me for almost 9 1/2 years sad to say he grew up here for long time and love my pet very much.. He was one of my dog's puppies long time ago..
Right now, I have two dogs left,,, they are all here with me..Honestly it's not easy to have pets...It takes a lot of responsibility and proper care.. I grew up with them,, . the vet said that kidney disease is a very serious illness and will take 50 percent chance of survival..
Right now, a neighbor is helping my dad to prepare the grave for my dog. i have been tired in the house ....thanks for my dad too..he helped me a lot..

Sorry for your loss.
I have two dogs, one of which I've had abut 12 yrs, and one I've had for 9 yrs. They are amazing. I dread the day they may pass on.

Yesterday, I saw where a homeless person had parked his bike and left the two dogs tied to the fence with the bike. It was very cold outside, but I'm sure the homeless person came back for the dogs.

I don't like to see people who have business, that leave the dog out in all weather and others who have dogs in their back yard, some tied up and often times these dogs are left out in all types of weather.

My dogs live in the house. I have few friends who don't like dogs or claim fear of dogs, they don't visit much, but that's Ok, because the dogs live here. Mostly if new people come in the house, the dog want to check them out and know whom they are. once they do, they move on to their spots and relax. If its sunny out, I'll let the dogs out if they are in the house and someone visits, but. It not that I'd let them out in the rain or cold because someone visited.

I think there is something very special about dogs, the natural way they cater to people is truly amazing. they many in some ways know us better than we know ourselves, they know how to protect us, when we may not be aware they are doing so.

They are a lot of work- I wanted to join the gym next to work, but I know I have to go home first and let the dogs out, because they have been in the house more than 8hrs. When I go some place, I have to arrange for someone to care for the dogs, I notice if I am not sleeping well, when I wake up both are on the floor beside the bed.
They watch everything, I do think they don't much like my computer, because when I'm on it, they know I don't give them the same attentions.

When I pick up the chains to walk them, they get excited soon as I pick up the chain. I found that they seem to feel proud when they are walked. I wonder if people really look at 'dogs faces", they are actually very beautify in how the hair either by color or how it grows makes their face stand out.

they love it when they are taken to be groomed, they go into the cages and when I come to get them, they have that look as if to say, "Thank you".

    Quoting sentttiiie_11:
i have been to animal shelters and found many dogs and cats.....
so nice there were people who rescue dogs and cats ..if you would just listen to their stories.. sooo sad... most were thrown by their pet owners or some were abandoned,, injured.. etc... but after they stayed in the shelter for months.. they were given proper care and love.. they looked better than before..
I think people who wish to have pets must check the animal shelters and adopt even just one pet...every pet needs a good home and family..never buy to pet shops.....dogs/cats from animal shelters are clean, have good bath.. dewormed, neutered/spayed and with vaccine.. but u have to pay for donation ..but not as expensive as in the pet shops... I salute the volunteers there who help.. they are not paid, they just want to help because they have compassion to animals... instead of going to bars and doing nothing.. they prefer to volunteer ...the animal shelter is so far from my house.. almost 3-4 hours.. I just visit if I hve time and I donate If I can..
I don't particularily like going to the shelter, because I see so many dogs I'd like to get, but at the same time it is sad, that so many have been left by people or just tossed away.
I made a big mistake when I moved here, I had to give up my German Shepherd, so I thought, later when I found out the neighbor was more a crook it really ticked me off more. They claimed my dog killed their dog, but time proved that the woman's brother killer her dog, and I was new to the community so they sought to extract a price from me. It was so crazy, the man even cut the board under the fence to make it appear as if my dog came in his yard, but in aims to avoid a suit, I gave up my dog. It was not even possible for my dog to get under the fence, it was too big, but all this happen so quickly, I'd only moved her maybe a week or so.
never would I make such a decision again, based on the after event findings.
I find dogs are in some ways with a honor-ability far deeper than (some) people.
