I feel the quality of online dating is getting worse nowadays ever since 2008 financial meltdown. Your friend should NOT pay money to the blackmail woman because she might ask for more money in the future. She probably made copy of sex tape. However, why that guy (your friend) had sex at woman's house, so that she got chance to set-up hidden camera. Honesty is the best policy.

EVERYTHING, goes through someones 'server', it can be saved, modified and re sent out in a million or more different ways". The word "Privacy" when it comes to Internet, does not exist. there is a moderate level of confidentiality, but what people believe privacy to be, does not exist when one is using a third party software and transmitting via the internet. Unless you have your own server with high encryption and many other attributes to protect your transmissions, still one has no control over what the receiver of the data will do. Heck even married couples go to extremes to humiliate the other when the word 'divorce" is put into the mix. So, why would someone think they can have blind trust with people they have never met in person and have not known them in personal face to face interactive reality to know the nuances that are within their living and their life. People put too much reliance on gadgetry, as if they thinks this stuff just transmits itself without a massive series of servers being interconnected. One can probably find the profiles of Chinese FriendFinder users on any number of the 100's of named sites this company uses to promote its social network services. Even person to person interactions now days, with cell technology, people can record you vocally or visually, other can do so without you even knowing, so people may need to take better care of their own self conduct, in public and certainly in associations with others.
