First day in Chinese New Year! 2016

 Happy New Year to you Papaya! I have already greeted my Chinese friends as well as one Vietnamese, one Filipino, one Malaysian and one Singapore friend, last night, and half have already returned the greeting. I never think about where all of my friends are from until this time of year. Chinese New Year is much more enjoyable to me than the American drunk fest that we Americans have for one day. Chinese New Year celebrations continue for a few weeks and is a great time for family and friends. I have been invited to a few celebrations and even the Temple which is supposed to insure that you will experience good luck in the coming year. Anyway, greetings to everyone and hoping all will have a healthy and prosperous new year!
