until today Until today, I suddenly realized that this world especially the western world is not friendly to China and Chinese people. May be it was from the feedback I read from about the recent hot topic of South China Sea dispute that made me wake up. Almost all Western medias are against China and of coz the South East neighbors who claim to own part of the sea. They were more than just about South China Sea, but more which they complained about China , Chinese government and Chinese people here. I am very sad about it, coz I am originally from China and it is still my home country though I am not a Chinese citizen anymore. And I love my home country and my people there. I have lived there so many years and totally understand how they feel and why they do things in their way. There are certain lessons that are needed to be learnt from life by oneself and only then one is able to understand why the other person is doing that way. or we say need to put yourself in one's shoes. I am not saying China is all good and Chinese are all good. But I do know that no one is perfect and no country is perfect. And I dislike the feeling of hostility towards China and Chinese people from the world and from here online. It is not fair to China. As most medias and people showed all the hostilities towards China and Chinese people, in reality do not really know much about China and Chinese people. Some may even not traveled to China once. Some may have been to China and for long period, but still, they do not totally understand what is China and how are Chinese people. I guess foreigners are mostly like this, as they do not have the chance to learn as much as the local do about the local country. But the sad thing I notice is: Foreigners do not have patience or tolerance towards China and Chinese people compare to the patience and tolerance they give to other countries. China government has blocked a few websites, which may not be that bad for Chinese people. As the Chinese women there they can still dream about how nice the Western guys are, without knowing the unfriendliness Westerners and Western medias have on them. If the government really open all websites, probably Chinese people will also learn what is the reality that foreigners think about them. I do respect that everyone has his preferences and choices. And since Chinese FriendFinder is a website concentrated on Asia, I know there are many gentlemen here looking for Chinese girlfriend or wife. I only want to gently remind the gentlemen who want to find a Chinese gf/wife: If you are not able respect the country she comes from, please do not disturb her. coz you wont be able to respect her if you cant respect her country and her people. and she wont be happy to live with someone who is not able to respect her. I came to Chinese FriendFinder starting to find a life partner, after a few set backs I realised it was not easy for relationship especially from online and long distance. Then I though at least I could make some friends from here. I do made some friends indeed and they are nice people. But I can also feel the hostilities towards China and Chinese from many members here, even from Taiwanese members (which is even worse). I have tried to ignore them and only look at the bright side from here. I am a Singaporean , but still I was born in China and lived there almost 30 years, ,my parents and grandparents are from and living in China, which means China is always a big part in my heart, thus I feel the negative portion towards China here is too much for me, especially after the South China Sea issue occurred. Why should I make myself unhappy because of others' attitude? Since I have given up looking for a life partner from here and this environment made me feel upset with the unfriendliness towards Chinese and China, I think it is the best time to leave now. I have been here for long enough if counting the years too, so it's time for me to move on. |
