Be careful foreigners There is a kind of organization called “transnational dating agency” in China. Usually the are middle age divorced women without good education . It usually cost 40000~60000 RMB per person. The agency will take photos of the by professional photographers , and hire professional English translators to communicate with the foreigners . Usually the foreigners fall in love with the women they met on internet and come to China to marry her ...... It's kind of like a trap . Although it is very expensive and risky ,but to many women it worths , because they can get green card and their can have better education......These agencies are illegal in China but it won't disappear because the benefits are so huge and the Information Asymmetry is so easy to be used. Before I came here I read a lot about transnational dating and marriage , and know about such agencies . Also I was told by someone here that he was one victim of such traps . So I want to remind the foreigners ,be careful ! Suggest some Video Chats before you fall in love with someone ...good luck to you all |

For years, I've heard stories where Western men had traveled to China to meet a woman he had corresponded with and found a different situation. At the airport, he's expecting to see the woman but only a representative is there and they are demanding the matchmakers fee (that he didn't know about) before the matchmaker will bring the woman forward. Actually meeting the woman and she's much older, The photos presented to him were not recent or digitally altered making her look younger than she really is. Those were old stories... The ones who were lucky enough to video chat were TOTALLY surprised to find the woman on the videos was a scammer pretending to be looking for a husband. Either they baited the man with a different woman when he arrived or no woman existed. Imagine how the guy felt standing in the airport and no one there to greet him.

I was careful. I insisted a marital agreement before marrying a china woman. It was my luck. Mulan, can you sign a marital agreement with a foreigner who want to marry you? Do you love him after sign?

Mulan, For a man to fly to China to meet a woman and find the woman wasn't real is a terrible experience. Usually, it's the man who gets deceived. I'll tell a true story about a Chinese woman who met an American man and her experience was a nightmare. She paid for all his expenses: hotel, food, transportation and entertainment. It appears she was the entertainment. After his trip, he returned home and didn't contact her again. She did have some information about his identification (probably on his passport) I believe she had someone in America do research to find him and he was married, had his own business. She was pregnant with his child and he wouldn't answer calls or emails.

Hmm. i was not cheated, but other problems was. Marital agreement must be done when get married with a person you don't know very well. In my case my childs wanted it. I have now 2 friends married with thai woman and having divorce less than 10 years marriage, and those men are loosing half of their money. Divorce reason for these guys: wife got so fat that sex became very rare. These guys cry because giving half of 40 years savings for a thai village girl.
