It seems like I woke up from a long slumber and had not been to Shanghai. Now I have to replan my lifestyle which is only excited to me and few who understand the joy of writing and reading....and what do I write? heck, boring stuff....responding to calls for papers...you know the abstracts fit for submission..... change of meal plans.....fish and veg..... and yes, careful money plan too...capital conservation ..... life is nice, easy and low cost for only the essentials.... well...in six months time some changes can be expected.

While others have exciting profile telling of adventures and socials, mine is perhaps the most boringly focused onto a regime of reading and writing, buying sundries, grabbing routine meals and walking (to buy sundries) as daily exercises. Seriously I don't expect anyone wanting to write. My talks can be out of this planet, of sociology and psychology, of science and finance...simply utterly boring.

This week is filled with dinner appointments and count down to departure. one tends wanting to know what lies ahead asap but I rather wait and see then re-plan. I found good friends who invite me to stay with them any time I am back in Shanghai. Its refreshing to know that but then again am not sure when I will pass this way again; perhaps to reconfirm some field research is one possibility but definitely have identified some coastal cities for that matter. Time pass quick and life long learning keeps one young and alert.
I am to resharpen my mind again ......... one dream to get an exchange to Cairo and on passing see the great pyramids...like the great wall of China, the pyramids tower majestically into the night sky. If only they speak, history will unfolds.
The last 5 years in China have changed many perspective of things and the next five years will come at the twinkling of an eye. Opportunities knock at those who are ready and re-sharpening is a forever effort.
There are careers that last longer and academia is certainly one of them. Peter Drucker toil on into his nineties so did Joseph Duran and the likes. Learning to teach and teaching to learn is ever evolving like changing of technologies and curriculum.

Good of both gender in their 40s onwards and especially great for ladies and men who have started their '..pause'. Wont tell you more but rather you do the search yr self..... I have learned alot from great traditional chinese medicine practiced in South China....that ladies with the right concoction after the pause can enjoy much greater sex plus if she has mastered the art of groping massage, it will lengthen her man's lifespan... what a great harmony which the west knows naught yet.

Know what? ! I haven't made any post nor comment any post for the last one year !!!! There are good reasons for not doing so such as gotten into a regime of reading and writing
At last and happen all of a sudden too that I will be out of Shanghai end Dec to take up a fellowship award. I will miss all our ladies in the staff room...together we can be one crazy bunch. What the future holds remains a mystery but for sure, opportunity knocks at doors that are ready to open the invitation.
I would need to settle down quickly; a good bed, convenient distance without having to rely on transport, etc etc..... In time, I may rather buy a nearby apartment and do it the way I like.
But really, its just an intermediate stop for very possible two years later, I will receive further invitations.....got to learn how to say NO...

Last week...President issue a BOLD foreign policy pivoting forth steadily from DengXiaoPeng....
It's the CPC collectively stating its position of playing a lead role in foreign affairs, one that goes hand-in-hand predominantly with those who partner China with assets that makes China surer of its future.... and the AFRICA nations as a continent looks upon CHINA.
Jim Sinclair had this to say....As the world looks upon CHINA, CHINA looks upon AFRICA.....

An interesting month

This December may prove itself well alive.....For one....the $ will do a ST rally...inversing from precious metals.....which fell off the cliff last friday....amidst a few bounce..any thing that bounces on its drop off the cliff will only bounce onto edge only to bounce down again till it looses its momentum.....maybe near december end....while the $ trade those expenses.... On the lighter side...we are near the term end....with gradings and prep for next sem....after Christmas.... Meanwhile I found a nice concortion....garlic strips (from a squeezer) into hot water and add on a table spoon of apple cider.....(no natural sweetner needed) God's gift to good health... Oh! I shall be another year wiser too.....funny how these numbers keep adding...
In retrospective.....I feel healthier, randier and sharper these months....if only there are ways to measure if my brain cells have expanded.....of maybe its the numerate crunches demanded in my research.
2010 will be an interesting year...... and looking back.....how it went from 2001/1/1 ............heck! we did survived 3650 days......and our hearts have taken another 500,000,000 beats

Everything and everyone has a life cycle..including this planet and theories.....
No one knows when its theirs......but there are signs......what do you people here think are those signs?
Many had wondered why the baddies last longer....and some good guys live too short.....some like Peter Drucker and Moses Juran had their runs....and gosh....George Soros is still around....as are the 3 JCs...Carter, Clark, and Cunningham............the 2 bushes and even Dr. Mahatir who simply must be around else who is going to continue jawboning the IMF........and my favorite is the Senior Lee of Singapore...I bet he wont forget what I said to him 35 years ago that it only takes a day to canoe round his island.

a ghost town now.....abandoned cars and apartments.......the Dutch were smarter.....they said God created the world but the Dutch created Holland from the sea...... Dubai tried that and rumours had it that their man made islands are sinking from its weights...... 6 years from boom to doom....... a financial tsunami will show its wake soon......HSBC and the likes..... worst will fall on the bank of scotland which went burst and got sold for a song to the public and now those public are holding scrap papers for bank of scotland had overexposed to dubai world.... do we ever learn?..... it doesn't need the universe to topple dubai...men did it unto themselves.... for the next six months, there will be intense restructuring of debts of its most mammoth kind. btw....disneyland is coming to Shanghai.....a small one, smaller than HK...... maybe just to sell ocean park to shanghai would be better..... we are onto our ninth week and soon onto christmas break..... i spend this weekend creating exam questions, reading and desktop research..... watching the spins among central bankers....many said we are in the midst of world war 3.....not with ammo but currency warfare.....electronic currencies......and also...fiat monies to be had by those who wanted to be had.......have you heard of universal cycle theory? austrian economics, ......etc? if you believe in the cycle theory.....then believe that the second credit crunch has just begun...triggered by dubai debt..of some official 60b but unofficially much higher considering many back-to-back and leverage lending.......sit back and watch the spins !!!

the cold is setting in ....skeets....rain.....cold getting colder......but time goes by when there are things to attend to....
news has it that Japan economy may collapse in 2 yrs time...wow...got to search more clues as to why.... but soon it will be christmas, then new year and then chinese new year.....and then .....what...same old thing...just get older...and perhaps less wiser or more sillier?
oh well.... graduating...starting new chapters in their lives..... and we may jsut be unwinding finding meaningful things to ditter upon.
but mind you...less stress means healthier lifestyle and perhaps kinky potency of a new kind....
funny....i kind of getting better with numbers these days.....looks like brain cell are rejuvenating....wonder what I have been consuming...other than apple cider ....everything else are as usual.......got to read more of apple cider.....the magical flush.......however it can smell like stinking soaks....or fermented towfu..
