TACLOBAN, Philippines (Reuters) - One of the strongest typhoons ever to make landfall devastated the central Philippines, killing more than 1,000 people in one city alone and 200 in another province, the Red Cross estimated on Saturday, as reports of high casualties began to emerge.

A day after Typhoon Haiyan churned through the Philippine archipelago in a straight line from east to west, rescue teams struggled to reach far-flung regions, hampered by washed out roads, many choked with debris and fallen trees.

The death toll is expected to rise sharply from the fast-moving storm, whose circumference eclipsed the whole country and which late on Saturday was heading for Vietnam.

Do we often stop to ask ourselves, what would we do in a pending situation as such.

Do you have a plan? How do you plan to get your family to adopt a plan? What will you do if your home is destroyed and you have no place to go back to ? No job ? and nor resources ?

I know I need to develop a good plan for these variables.

Fifteenth Republican Incumbent Quits House

In addition to Coble and Young, who died Oct. 18 but had announced he would retire after the 113 th Congress just weeks before his passing, the seven other House Republicans sworn in at the beginning of the Congress who have thrown in the towel are Jo Bonner, R-Ala.; Rodney Alexander, R-La.; Spencer Bachus, R-Ala.; Michele Bachmann, R-Minn.; John Campbell, R-Calif.; Tim Griffin, R-Ark.; and Jon Runyan, R-N.J., who announced his retirement Wednesday after serving just two terms. Bonner and Alexander resigned earlier this year rather than serve out the remainder of their terms.

Georgia Reps. Paul Broun, Phil Gingrey and Jack Kingston; Shelley Moore Capito, W.V.; Bill Cassidy, La.; and Tom Cotton, R-Ark., all have decided to run for the U.S. Senate rather than seek re-election to the House.

The more Republicans this Congress can get rid of the better this nation of America will be.
Maybe then we won't be misled into foolish wars, (2 of them), maybe we will stop allowing Insurance Greed and Banking Criminals and Wall Street Scam artist from destroying companies and peoples lives.

For a nation that has needed health care for 100 yrs, we now have an INITIAL program, but these clowns act like it is the end of the world, rather than to know that the program has to establish itself and then as with anything in life it then begins to improve itself.

But Republicans don't want that, because they are too much in the pockets of Insurance Companies for contribution and they have too much money invested in Insurance companies. They would rather see their investments grow from gouging, than to see a health care and insurance system that is more honest and respects the people it insures.

Most of the companies who are dropping people, did not comply because they are republican controlled in their executive suites, and they have a vested interest to try and wreak havoc on ACA ( Affordable Care Act... (Watch and see when their plan shows its has backfired, some of those same companies will later try and rejoin the exchange), when they realize their plan did not work, because currently, they disrespect the people and think so low of the masses, until they think they can drop people and then come back and gouge them for higher premiums for the same substandard things, but instead people will wise up and go to the exchange, when they realize the quality standards they are guaranteed... Then just watch, these companies will rush back and want to comply.

Republican spent $1 billion dollars trying to buy the office of President, and they engaged voter suppression across this country and they still lost by a big margin, so if anyone thinks they would not have spent a lot of money to try and defeat ACA, then they are not thinking, these same goons have met over and over with these Insurance company lobbyist trying to develop a strategy to attack ACA..... but fact is, no matter what they do, they will loose, because ACA is the law of the land and the government has every right to invest to continue to build and promote it. When the truth comes out about the Website and the tampering, people will pretend they are shocked and want to deny it, but the culprits will be exposed, maybe not to the media but the Administration will know whom they are.

America has a lot of hateful Right Wingers, who still cling to the upbringing they gained during Jim Crow teachings, some may try to cover it in public, but their policies expose their true mentality. We see that vividly in the Tea Party and Hard Right Leaning Republican ranks. These people have never changed, the lead poor whites like a mob seeking a lynching, and they detest seeking any benefit they think might improve living standards for minorities.they don't support not believe in true equality for women and if they had their way, they'd raise the cost of higher education and diminish student loans, so only the wealthy can afford to go.

Sadly, America has always had this evil regime sector, that is why it took the Civil Rights Bill to force them to act civil toward others, and instead of being Civil and respect equality, they instead started a mass exodus of Industry out of this country, because their mindset is to insure they limit and deny as much economic equilibrium to minorities, women and keep the poor whites as their pawns...

There is probably 70-90 Million poor whites living with some form of public assistance, but let the Right Wing tell it, this system is in trouble because of minorities, when there is only 32 million blacks and maybe the number of 15 million + use public assistance and even less number of other minorities and they have small numbers among them who use public services.. This means that white people use the system 3-4 whites to every 1 minorities. of the remaining whites, there are at least 20 million or more white people who live on pure credit with high debt to equity ratio's, among them there is many who are only a pay check away from requiring public assistance.

If this system ever gets past the long ingrained Jim Crow ideology, it may learn to change, but for a nation that spent 200 + years living based on a slave system, that is not going to just go away in 49 yrs. It took 100 years from abolition of slavery, to get rid of segregation, and it has only been 49 years since segregation was stood against by the Civil Right Act of 1964. It was the 1980's when Ronald Reagan tried to roll back as far as he could as many gains that had been made since 1964, he set out to bust Union, although this was first put into play by Richard Nixon, when he went to China to open the door to export the steel industry, Point being the Jim Crow system was not going to allow means nor methods for women and minorities to gain union benefits and be on part with white males. The quickest method to achieve that was to destroy unions and outsource industry. and then dupe the people to think it is cheaper and better for American... The result is we have destroyed cities, can't maintain our infrastructure, jobless and homeless people and schools that can't be funded because property is left dilapidated and generating no tax revenue to supports schools, so now education ranks below #26 on the global scale in some areas of education.

Liberal minded white people are no longer afraid of the Right Wing Republicans, and Liberal Minded white people know their life and benefit of this country is found in respect for all people and support for the benefit of this nation to be for all people... This is an ideal that Republicans on the Right detest with passions of violence.

This same is true with the need for medical care... there is probably more than 30 million whites with medical programs that don't cover various services, have lifetime caps and deny test and services as well as drop people the minute they use the services and it cost over a set amount, they become targeted for cancellation of their policy..
ACA changes that, and the greedy Insurance companies who support the republican system does not like it.

The next step the President should do,
(1). make it a 1 yr program to convert Foreign trained doctors to US accreditation,

(2).set up a branch of HUD to become the lending arm for students loans to students who need tuition for medical school,

(3). then set up for Universities who get federal grant funds for research to lower their tuition and accept these students or loose their federal grants.

(4).Then have FHA to set up a program to provide low interest lending to Medical persons who want to set up private practices. This takes the banks out of it, and

(5). HUD can create their own division to develop an insurance exchanges that provides medical mal practice insurance to these new doctors.

Just like this country did when they had a nursing shortage, they opened the system to attract a massive number of Filipino nursing trained students to come to the U.S. they did the same thing when they wanted the Tech people from India.

So they can do the same with foreign Medical Students. Already at many University Hospitals, there are a multitude of Foreign Doctors,
increase the programming and bring more, then it will also inspire more and more Americans to go to Medical School and the HUD backed program will make it more affordable for more to go to medical school.

The medical cost will decrease and all doctors will be able to make a decent living because everyone will have health care.

Republican create so much smoke, and cloud the issue until all they do is delay these other elements from being created, But in-spite of the Republican Madness, these changes will come and the system will change and improve... Throughout the history of America, the evil has continue to loose in the long run, Slavery lost, so did Segregation, but these new changes won't take hundreds of years, and the greedy Republican can do all they want but they can't stop the nation from improving its systems and respecting its people and being of service to its population.

Republicans are fighting harder, because they know that delusion of 'white man' dominance is coming to a swifter end than he assumed could happen... But no longer do the people of America buy into the delusion of white man dominance. All people have to do is look back to the wild manner of attach these same mentality of Right Wing white people did to try and stop Civil Rights Bills from being enacted... then it is easier to understand their current methodology and motivations for fighting. Now if someone would fight and attack people in the streets, just to avoid respecting them as equal human being, just imagine the fight when it comes to White Republicans when it comes to something they think takes money out of their pockets from the Insurance investments gains and then to see others get care at a reduced rate. They are furious, How do you shut down the government behind this kind of mad mentality, but they did it, which demonstrate the level of ignorance which is involved. that cost more than $29 billion... yet they try and pretend its about being fiscal conservative. all that means is, "trying to keep the money in the right wing white males control"...

Today, there are many white males in position who hate the fact of seeing a black face in the Presidential office, because they did all they could to keep black faces out of Executive Suites in Corporate America, and now they have to see a black face in the highest position in America... and they are furious. They now have to take leadership directions from a Black Man as President, and it infuriates them to no end, because it forces them to face the fact that white men dominance is coming to a end. Never in the history of America, has Republican white men insulted the office of President the way they have in the last 5 yrs, And still President Obama has made many many advances for this nation. They won't give him credit for anything he has achieved positively. But they still won't even acknowledge that Bush Led us to Wars based on manufactured lies and resulted to get many American killed, and resulted to preside over a system that crashed the nations economy and damaged the world economy, simply because he is a white man, they won't acknowledge these things. Ronald Reagan presided over this nation being flooded with cocaine, all in the aim to support his south American war, then he sold weapons to Iran, while publicly claiming to support Iraq. But they hail this man as being great and offer no critique of the whole spectrum of truths.

Funny as it is, I wrote much of this same stuff more than 5 yrs ago, when blog member Alpha-Male was a participant in the magazine, at that time I said, the republic would fight like wounded animals, because they had been exposed for the malice they have caused this nation and its people.

How to decipher what we call : "Complicated People"

The complicated people or those whom we label as being complicated, are individuals who simply have not found a workable manner to deal with their pains and appreciate their laughter... they often do not see the expanse of being able to at times laugh at themselves in a positive manner and move along to do and make things better through simply working with the challenges to make continual improvements in simply living experiences. Attitude is what shapes life.

Character is the sum of Attitude and Values finding a positive format to function. Integrity is the will to uphold the values while working to maintain a positive attitude.
Such then, enters the ability to be kind and function within compassion spectrum.... guided by wisdom's awareness.

Belief in The God essence ( something greater than one's self) is for many, the point that gives focus more clarity in developing the understanding to manage the attitude.

A great Modern Tool....

These social websites are great modern technology tools... plain and simple... don't abuse it.
It affords, written text, IM, audio visual capabilities and as near instant exchanges as technical capabilities allow.

Don't get on here and use it to con people, or push some fake delusion about yourself and your life... You are often times talking to real people, who are giving your their faith that you are being a real and honest person.
If you can't be that, and can't accept your own reality and share the true nature of your person... Then you should not be on here pretending.

What the pretenders don't know is they set themselves back and deny their own ability to grow and prosper as a individual in character and integrity as a person.

People don't have time for games and delusions, nor do they take kindly to hustlers, schemers and scammers. If you are a hustler and scammer looking for something for nothing, you have by your actions confirmed yourself as being worthless and no amount of lies and deception will cover it up for long. The truth will always come through.

If you are after someone else money, their possession and think someone is going to give you a free ride in life, then you are a "Thief".. plain and simple, you are a common low life criminal.

This may not deter the hustlers and criminals minded one, but for those who want to get at the truth, make sure to include many means to expose the truth. do not send anyone money, and if you do develop a close connection and send anything, then make sure you are doing so by your own motivation, not by someone sending a sob story, or a con game or asking by any means.

If you plan to Travel to visit anyone, make sure you have a hotel reserved... because people can be deceptive and until you have a bearing as to their home location and the nature of the community, it is safest and best for you to have a hotel to provide you a sanctuary during your stay.

If you meet people for a evening date, arrange it and go by taxi, and make sure that it is a well populated place.
It might even be a good idea, If possible) to have the person you are meeting to tell you of some place they frequent, so at least you can find out or be some place that people know this person.

As to the great set of tools the internet provides... It's such a shame that people abuse it so.

Don't get disenchanted with the fact these hustler and pretending types frequent these sites... because they are no more nor no less than the hustlers and pretenders that can be seen and found in everyday life in any place. Just manage yourself in the web with the same decorum you would in general public.... that will help you avoid as much of the hustler and pretending types....

When people give these grandiose portrayals of their life, be skeptical, but don't become infatuated behind the typed words, because you have to remember, its the character of the person you are interested in, not the grandiose depiction they paint.

Know the simplicity....

When people claim they have much money to waste on frivolous things, you might first want to wonder what are they into that would even given them the ability to waste such things, because anyone who earns by responsible means, does not waste it and boast about wasting it, because they know the level of responsibility it takes to earn it. as well as they have a responsible mindset about how to use it for more than vanity's fancy.

Starvation, poverty, flooding, heat waves, droughts, war and disease already lead to human tragedies. They're likely to worsen as the world warms from man-made climate change, a leaked draft of an international scientific report forecasts.

The Nobel Peace Prize-winning Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change will issue a report next March on how global warming is already affecting the way people live and what will happen in the future, including a worldwide drop in income. A leaked copy of a draft of the summary of the report appeared online Friday on a climate skeptic's website. Governments will spend the next few months making comments about the draft.

"We've seen a lot of impacts and they've had consequences," Carnegie Institution climate scientist Chris Field, who heads the report, told The Associated Press on Saturday. "And we will see more in the future."

Cities, where most of the world now lives, have the highest vulnerability, as do the globe's poorest people.

"Throughout the 21st century, climate change impacts will slow down economic growth and poverty reduction, further erode food security and trigger new poverty traps, the latter particularly in urban areas and emerging hotspots of hunger," the report says. "Climate change will exacerbate poverty in low- and lower-middle income countries and create new poverty pockets in upper-middle to high-income countries with increasing inequality."

For people living in poverty, the report says, "climate-related hazards constitute an additional burden."

The report says scientists have high confidence especially in what it calls certain "key risks":

—People dying from warming- and sea rise-related flooding, especially in big cities.

—Famine because of temperature and rain changes, especially for poorer nations.

—Farmers going broke because of lack of water.

—Infrastructure failures because of extreme weather.

—Dangerous and deadly heat waves worsening.

—Certain land and marine ecosystems failing.

"Human interface with the climate system is occurring and climate change poses risks for human and natural systems," the 29-page summary says.

None of the harms talked about in the report is solely due to global warming nor is climate change even the No. 1 cause, the scientists say. But a warmer world, with bursts of heavy rain and prolonged drought, will worsen some of these existing effects, they say.

For example, in disease, the report says until about 2050 "climate change will impact human health mainly by exacerbating health problems that already exist" and then it will lead to worse health compared to a future with no futher warming.

If emissions of carbon dioxide from the burning of coal, oil and gas continue at current trajectories, "the combination of high temperature and humidity in some areas for parts of the year will compromise normal human activities including growing food or working outdoors," the report says.

Scientists say the global economy may continue to grow, but once the global temperature hits about 3 degrees Fahrenheit warmer than now, it could lead to worldwide economic losses between 0.2 and 2.0 percent of income.

One of the more controversial sections of the report involves climate change and war.

"Climate change indirectly increases risks from violent conflict in the form of civil war, inter-group violence and violent protests by exacerbating well-established drivers of these conflicts such as poverty and economic shocks," the report says.

Our thirst and disregard for the true cost of disposable goods may well come back to haunt us, As does our vanity need to change car's every 3 yrs and the many other things we wastefully discard just to have the latest model... We buy this disposable stuff without a second thought, then we deny that the climate is changing and even more so we deny the pollution we create...

for any man who has interest to share time with a woman on Friday, or the Weekend..... It is guaranteed in the Beach Cities of Thailand... he will not have a problem finding company to share the Fridays, Weekends or any other days of the week. Not only will he find someone with relative ease, he can find someone who does not turn it into a nightmare of trips to share in the time span.

If only they could export that mentality across the world, it would probably be a better world.

..... Greed... (it's a sickness)

It's a tragedy... but there are differences in how it plays out.

Once upon a time people built in America because they believed in America and built to strengthen it and make it a beacon of progress. Today... people don't build, but Hoard, because they don't believe in America, they believe in selfish greed and profit at any expense. they will sell anything and leave anything unmaintained and rip off any project contract until the project stalls before it breaks ground.

We don't have the efficiency of China, when it comes to building, We have a government system which is continually attacked by the anti-government right wing, whom gridlocks the process while they plot to steal and seek ways to indenture people to the wealthy.

We are now a third rate country when it comes to infrastructure development, we can't even repair and maintain what our predecessors built. A crumbling Nation.

Yes, there is global greed, but some places have figured out how to make it improve their nation. Such as Dubia, and China and Much of the Asian Pacific Nations.

Europe and America is still hung up on the pursuit of indenturing its poor whites and minorities. They cannot grow, because they seek to recreate the past. They can't grow because they don't respect all its people as Europeans and likewise so for America, they don't respect all its citizens as Americans.

China, on the other hand has a deep appreciation and respect of its people as Chinese and the Chinese people have a deep appreciation of being Chinese. The government of China invest to build up China... American on the other hand, supports criminal greed, degree riders ripping off the system and avarice based corporate structures, that sell delusions and shams so over zealous speculator can create ponzi schemes with stocks and other commodities... We are reduced to a fake paper shuffler, living on borrowed money that we can't repay.

Industrial Growth is the Only Answer... No country can survive nor prosper unless it produces what its population consumes.

We have dumb Economist trained in University that aspire to teaching methods to dupe and Indenture people to the wilds of the wealthy and people in masses submit to the ignorance any man in a suit with a microphone has to say.
The Young graduates, come with a delusion of entitlement, and ego supported by a certificate ready to rip off, collude and systematically loot any entity they come in contact with. all for a big house a car and vain delusion of popularity.
We see it in our reality TV programming, the level of buffoonery that people will go for money and popularity.

Time has brought the system build of ignorance to consume itself. The ignorance of greed, the ignorance of bigotry, the ignorance of racism, the ignorance of governance and regulatory respect....

Even the system of male and female relationship has been reduced to a 'bartering game" of covert hoo(ers and covert John's... who fight like wild beast when the money runs out.

People parade around in designer clothes, which is like a pack of wolves attiring themselves in sheep's clothing.

Claiming dignity and character, while they plot and plan to deceive and encroach by any means to loot what ever they can by any means they can.

..... Greed ......... the force of a nations self destruction.

Mean girls

By Tia Ghose, Staff Writer
The rumor spreading, shunning and backstabbing of "mean girls" may be a relatively accurate picture of women's social interactions, one researcher says.

Though both men and women use such indirect aggression in relationships, women use backbiting to demoralize competition and take sexual rivals out of the picture, one researcher argues in a review article detailed today (Oct. 27) in the journal Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society B.

"Women do compete, and they can compete quite fiercely with one another," said Tracy Vaillancourt, the paper's author and a psychology professor at the University of Ottawa in Canada. "The form it typically takes is indirect aggression, because it has a low cost: The person [making the attack] doesn't get injured. Oftentimes, the person's motives aren't detected, and yet it still inflicts harm against the person they're aggressing against."

Mean girls

Anyone who has braved the halls of middle school has seen mean girl behavior firsthand. And across many different cultures, researchers have found that girls rely mostly on indirect aggression rather than physical conflict or overt aggression, which men use more frequently.

That led Vaillancourt to hypothesize that the behavior is rooted in humans' evolutionary past. But why would sneaky meanness have become so ingrained in the female repertoire?

In short, because mean girl aggression works so well.

Because of women's role in childbearing and rearing, they are less expendable than men and couldn't risk injury by settling disputes with their fists, said Anne Campbell, an evolutionary psychologist at Durham University in the United Kingdom, who was not involved in the work. Instead, social exclusion and talking behind someone's back allowed women to work out conflicts without endangering their bodies.

Backbiting and gossiping aren't unique to women, though. "There is virtually no sex difference in indirect aggression," Campbell told LiveScience. "By the time you get to adulthood, particularly in work situations, men use this, too."

But these attacks are more powerful weapons against women, who, in the evolutionary past, depended on each other to raise ; so shunning could severely hurt a woman and her 's survival odds. As a result, women may have evolved to be exquisitely attuned to such slights, Vaillancourt speculates.

Not only does such cattiness make the targeted women too sad and anxious to compete in the sexual market, some studies suggest it can make men find rivals less attractive — provided the badmouthing comes from a cute woman, Vaillancourt said.

Sexual policing

Women often punish perceived sexual transgressions, Vaillancourt said. Studies in dozens of countries have found that women use indirect aggression against other women for being "too sexually available," Vaillancourt said.

"It's women who suppress other women's sexuality," because if sex is a resource, then more sexually promiscuous women lower the price of it, Vaillancourt told LiveScience.

One way to avoid the most destructive effects of girls' indirect aggression is to make sexual policing less powerful, Campbell said.

"We want to achieve a situation where that accusation [of promiscuity] had no power, where we don't have that double sexual standard," Campbell said. "But how we get there, I don't know."

And women don't compete over things they don't value, Vaillancourt said. So women who put less emphasis on dating, or women who are past their sexual peak, are less likely to engage in mean girl behavior (at least over men).

Still, not everyone finds Vaillancourt's proposal convincing.

The review is more of an opinion piece and cites a number of other studies to support its main thesis, "none of which contain data showing that indirect aggression is successful in devaluing a competitor," Kim Wallen, a psychologist at Emory University in Atlanta who studies primate sex differences and was not involved in the study, wrote in an email. "Sadly, no empirical data are ever presented that are relevant to the central claim."
