Many Perspectives of Attitude

By living today, we build what become tomorrow. We must know what was within Yesterday, to understand what we are faced with today.

Senators get classified briefing on UFO sightings
U.S. senators received a classified Pentagon briefing on Wednesday about a series of reported encounters by the Navy with unidentified aircraft, according to congressional and military officials — part of a growing number of requests from members of key oversight committees.

What would you do, and how would you think and feel... if it is proven that Aliens from some other planet were 'exposed and presented' as visiting or making a station here on Earth?

Take the time realize... "There's a "Whole Person" involved in what you are looking at!!!!

So often people look with "thought of pleasure" and "desires for and of pleasure".. and forget that the person is an "entire human being with a full set of feeling, thoughts, life challenges, life aspirations and ideas and dreams" that go far and beyond being a "pleasure provider for the whims of a pleasure seeker".

It might make it more interesting and bring people be more motivated get know the "whole person".

There's no "Magically Perceptually Care Free Pleasure Providers" !!! and there is an "Entire Person Behind That Smile" or "Behind that Provocative or Seductive "....

There's a "Whole Person" always behind and within what ever persona that is presented in what we can see with our eyes.

-The Hidden Values in Doing Rewarding Work... even if no one else recognizes the value of the work

I think many people don't understand the importance of it, how many people go to a business and become repeat customers to a business who have people that do not find their work rewarding, Generally such business that don't have people who appreciate their work, have business that is unkept, not courteous and the facility is not very clean.

Do you find your work personally rewarding and beneficial to society as a whole and beneficial to individuals on a per individual servicing level. ?

I think "All Things that are Jobs are necessary... some people don't see it as such, but imagine... if there was no washing dishes at an eatery, or no waitress serve customers, or no working at the fast food counter, or no cleaning the business facilities, or no collecting the garbage, or no working on the sewer systems, now working at the recycling center or the garbage landfill.

I think people should be more appreciative other the work that others do... instead of this "DELUSION" that everyone is going get a University Degree and wear a suit and give orders others and ride the chair behind the desk.

What I found interesting years ago in HKG and Thailand and Costa Rica, was people were proud of their jobs... and did them with a sense of pride, as compared some people in some western locations, feel not so good about their jobs if it is not some popular status symbolic job.

I think the U.S. Economy has suffered because of how it "degrades various types of work"... and then "outsource" work, because they devalue the elements of labors that it takes produce products and provide services.

I see picture of people in some foreign factories, doing work that is tedious, but they do this work and build a life for themselves and their family because of the work and having a job to be able to work.

No should be ashamed of their "type of work" as long as its honest and they do it with a honest intent do a good job and be good at doing the job.

There's many jobs that I prefer not pursue, but it does not mean I don't see the necessity of the work in the society that we live. Example: "plucking the feather from chickens", but nearly everyone on the planet likes eat chicken. so the value of that job is higher than people may consider give regard for.

Here in America with all the backlash about "immigrants".. America can't find enough white people or black people, that will go out and pick strawberries or pick and wrap lettuce, and many of the labor intensive jobs that many immigrants perform and those immigrants raise their families by doing those jobs.

How many people like "nuts" but never stop to think of the people remove the shells from those nuts. Or even the people make "matches'.. when matches are still a vital product in much of the world.
Every time I buy a shirt, I think of the people "put those fold it and put those pins in it", so it can fit in a package, I think its quite amazing... that some do what appears tedious, but it make it suitable for marketing where people can enjoy the sight and convenience of the packaging when they are shopping.

I think we've become as a people, too easy to take so much for granted, simply because "things" show up on the shelves in the stores.....

When you are in public engaging people provide services and produce products... Be more kind..in how you consider and how you treat them!!!

"Buying Stuff'

( This post is for HUMOR)... about "Buying Stuff".. )

"Is this the general basic format of concerns within the Western Society"?
We hear people claiming "depression" when they can't to go and shop... to a society that has many people who build their whole sense of self around "Buying Stuff" or "What they have bought"...

I don't know if its just funny, or if its sad.... its a contradictory thing, because when people "buy stuff" it means others have a means and opportunity to work, in the business that create and the stuff people "...

Life was far simpler when people's primary aim of "Buying Stuff" was to meet actual Need, least 80% of the time, but ""that was a long time ago""...

We went through an era where the whole point of "Saturdays" for some was "going to the Shopping Mall"...

Now, many many people " via the internet"... and in some cases its like a habit they can't tame.... because they don't see "actual dollar change hand"... they simply type in "some numbers from a " and Whamo!!! a few days later... products show up at their door...

Sometimes i around the house all the things "i've bought over time"... and the many things, I either don't have the time, or the interest to use or deal with.

I see some people, who so much, they have to move things they'd previously bought into "Storage Units" ( by the way, Storage Facilities is Big Business Nowdays)... I see some people who can't get their car in their garage, because it is filled with stuff they have bought over time... its packed so tight and deep, they may never see some items ever again... because many who pack the garage like that, have no interest or motivation to sort through it or clean it , then others after filling up the garage, they "extra storage shed's and place them in the back yard" and pack in even more stuff.

As I said, I don't know if it "funny" or sad"... but I do know... its really not my business what others choose to do... until it become a problem where they attract rats and roaches and if those rats and roaches come near or onto my property. ..... I am thankful that in my community, they don't store it in the front yard or on their Ranch Style Home Porch.... (at least not yet!!)

Then there comes the people who keep non operable vehicles, that they may never repair...

I see used car lots that have so many cars stacked on it, and the lot is in locations where not that many people are likely to come to looking to purchase a vehicle. Maybe there should be a "certification test" for people to become a "Used Car Dealer" !!!

There is something about "Buying Stuff" that makes some people feel alive and functional in their lives... because when people "can't to stuff"... it seem to have a profound impact to a greater or lesser degree.... then comes the other element of some are thrilled about "paying a price for what they bought" and "others are thrilled about paying a low price for what they bought".. and even still there are others, "who what they don't need and maybe did not even consider to want, until they saw it "On ".

not saying that exempt from Buying Stuff... because we all by some means are involved in the system of "Buying Stuff"... not because of Need, but by want, and even by "impulse"....

I buy stuff ... sometimes even stuff to use work, even though work, has means to supply what ever is needed to do the work that is expected. I ornaments for my office, and sometimes I find myself ... spending $20 or maybe even $30 some days while work... and then later, wonder what the heck did I spend the on.

Sometimes, I can sit home and just "conjure up stuff" that I want to go ...

I don't care for TV or Radio Commercials.... but it seems that does not curb the "Buying of Stuff" anyway

I can go to the Grocery store to get something, and forget what I went for and end up "buying stuff" I had no idea of buying before I went to the store.

Then there's the "Yard Sales'... I see people lined up to "Buy Stuff" that someone else bought, that they don't want, or so they can clear the house so they can have room for "Buying More Stuff"...

People go on vacation... supposedly to get away from routine habits, but they take with them the habit of "Buying Stuff"... and they come back home with a lot of "Stuff they Bought"..

Some people, when they spend all their , they run up a tab, to ensure they can engage the habit of "Buying Stuff".... even before they off the debt... they run up more to engage the habit of "Buying Stuff".

I often the "trash that I generate' from "Stuff I've Bought" and wonder sometimes, how can I generate so much garbage. I find too that "Buying Stuff" we often don't even consider the eloborate packaging that it comes it, because whether or not we know it, we bought that too. and we gladly throw it away...
( I recently bought some cookies, and was amazed at how eloborate the packaging was, it was in a box, inside the box it had a foil like wrapper, then a plastic tray, and it was only maybe cookies in the package.... it may have less if it was not so elaborately packaged, and to top it off, the cookie did not match the picture on the box, the cookies were much smaller...!!!! !!!!

Do your think in the next week the bug of "Buying Stuff" will you to go and start "Buying Stuff"...

how many times we "buy stuff" and get home and find we don't like it as much as we thought we liked it while in the store... then sometimes, we delude ourself to get angry and swear not to go back to that store, but reality is, we were the one who chose to it...

Or, we see something and know that its price is too good to believe, for what it claims, and we it anyway... when we know... we should have bought the higher items that represented the quality we think it truly should be... and we get home and get angry because what we bought is a low cheap product.

Some people are just gullible when it comes to sales people, and even more of what we don't need, because something inside wants to impress the sales persons that we can it. then, later, wonder why the heck did we it.

What's your funny or sad story about "Buying Stuff" ?

Well.... quotVehiclesquot talked about stuff.... now in Vehicles II.... I'll talk about more stuff. (it make for interesting conversation)

1999 E320 Benz

1997 Dodge

I've for sure got more invested in the car than the market would meet for it... but ... still not ready to get rid of it.... Having the Transmission Rebuilt... its costly, but still less than a new cart; and it is far less burdensome than having 7 yrs of Car Payments to , based on the way the finance new cars. This car I know what I have and what has been replaced and still I don't have any payments. So... at this point its still a worthwhile viable option. Considering I basically drive back and forth to work and shopping.

I'll probably get 'another car" in the some future...but it won't be a New Car...

I like features in many new cars, but just not a point to make a choice to encumber myself for 7 yrs just to for it.

I also see people, who "rent cars" when they want to drive of town, even if they have a newer vehicle.... they don't want to put the "miles on it" for extended trips.

This site continues to operate without "flooding" its members with Advertisements,..... Now, I don't know what they do with people's profile data, but at least in this site its not requiring a Log-in... and it is not saturated with Google, Amazon and Ebay and Other Advertisements.

It's quite interesting but a very good thing, that "advertising" does not invade this site like nearly everything else on the web.

Most news sites can't present the news without "overly excessive advertising"...

I try to watch "Local News" in the morning and its a pure nightmare of advertisements until... they should it "The Advertising Hour' with a few tid bits of almost news...

the biggest issue I personally see for this site, is the "lack of participation by its members and interactive exchanges within the blog section"... People let the "magazine section" simply dry up... and it seems this portal only has a few consistent regulars who have shared here for years. Many of these regulars here, know more about each other from "blogs an interacting with each other via blog and commentary".

_____________ The Mis-Connections ______________

It's even more interesting that among those that have come to know each other over many years as "regulars",... they don't seem to care much to "hook up" with each other...
as if everyone is really looking for that "magical mystery person"... which at our age's we should know its all "fictions within our own minds".... because the basic of any relation is ... getting to"learn another"and build upon and within that !!!

There's no magical bedroom partner, that is some perfect reflection of the fantasy person we create a want and desire for it our minds'...
It's "just people"..... Nature made life simple.... "we love whom we come to learn and know"... and if we don't... that inkling that could have been love, fades into the vagueness that is often engaged when another does not mirror the fantasy image within our minds. and then go in search of the mental shaped desires we continue to pursue ....

Everyone here is old and wise enough hopefully... to know... "keep your in your own pocket".... and build relations based on person to person as "self responsible individuals"........ -------------

...... I see all the new models and the features they advertise and some of it looks interesting. Well I have older vehicles and I like them. I have not had a car payment in 20 yrs or so.... I like it that way!!!!

Recently my car stopped (on a rainy cold day) I had it towed to the shop and a part was replaced, then a week later it did the same thing, (probably 10 blocks from home, so I walked home), the next day I had it towed again to the shop!!!. This time I left it there they told me it seemed ok. but I told them I did not want to come and get it until I ordered a fuel pump.... even though the shop said I likely did not need it. Well I ordered it, and they installed it, and "the problem is resolved" !!!!! The issue was, the pump's regulator would not hold back pressure, and caused the engine to have to crank too many time, before it would start, or it would loose all pressure and simply not start. Basically, this was the issue that caused me to have it towed, first they said it was "crankshaft sensor", so I had it replaced. ( mis-diagnosis); All along the issue was the "fuel pump" , so I also bought the fuel pump regulator. No problem, at least now I know the crankshaft sensor is new as well.

Well, when I drove my truck to the shop (the same evening) to check on the car, shortly after I had the car towed the first time, "as I pulled into the lot" the truck made a loud sound as if something broke. next there was fluid all over the ground. The Rack and Pinion (Steering system) went out !!!! I was lucky it happened in the mechanic's parking lot. So, I left the truck and had to replace that system. (they had gotten the car running so I drove it home). I had previously had all the other parts on the front end of the truck replaced, so now... I have a full rebuilt front suspension and steering system. (It drives great !!!)....

My vehicles are 20 yrs old and the Truck is 22 yrs old..... They are both in excellent condition and the car looks better than some of the new models.
I put new wheels, new headlights, new paint, new shocks and it is very clean inside. I've likely put in more $'s than they are worth to re-sell, but I have no interest in selling them. Besides, the car I think is built far better than some of the new models. The Truck was a unique model in its class when it was built, it has a V8 engine, when others in that class came with 4 and 6 cylinder engines. It does however burn more fuel.... but I don't drive it on a daily basis.

I hope they remain within out major problems ...

How would your run a business?

Yes, it does need to make a profit. ( in order to survive)

Would you be more concerned about the "quality of product" and "quality of service" OR.... would you be more concerned about the % of profit margin you can gain and cut corners on the quality and service provisions and standards?

Again, it would matter what it cost to run the business, cover your living expense and provide some level of profit % ).... "In respect of that, would you be willing to gain more over the course of time, OR to maximize your profit % to the highest degree immediately).

Today, we see product and service quality diminishing, in some cases service being low in performance and every item of service itemized as a profit angle.

Would you want to use "natural products" in food prep. OR Artificial ingredients?

If you sold Leather goods, would they be 100% leather, OR Leather veneer over some composite material ?

If you sold "tennis shoes" would you choose to sell them with "quality comfort inserts" OR the low grade of insert?
Would they have "leather uppers" OR the "mesh material" being sold today?

Cable companies: would you sell an package where the customer choose the channels they want, or would you give them a junk package with only a few good channels?
Would you have a flat rate billing or every month it 'tacks on a few pennies, nickels or dollars, and the bill is never the same, but you have no made changes to the services you initially chose to purchase ?

(I ask this, about cable, because I'm about to cut the service, and just buy Internet and I need a land line only for Alarm and Emergency Call system).

Would you put a Siri or other internet listening devices in your home?
If you owned such a business, what kind of protections would you offer the customer?

If you were a website owner like Facebook... would you sell your subscriber's data ?
Would you use your customer base to make profits from marketing firms of their usage habits?

California chef lifts ban on restaurant customers in 'Make America Great Again' hats

A California chef who made headlines after announcing a ban at his restaurant on customers wearing “Make America Great Again” hats is clarifying his intent.

a chef and partner at Wursthall, a restaurant in Calif., published a piece on Medium Friday explaining why he changed his mind about refusing to serve patrons if they were wearing the polarizing hats.

“The way I tried to communicate this ended up only amplifying the anger, and I apologize for that,” he wrote in the piece, adding that it was “disrespectful and reckless,” to make a public statement without thinking about how it would affect his employees.

“My goal at Wursthall was for it to be a restaurant where all employees and staff are treated with respect and trust, and by making that public statement without your consent, I failed at that goal. I will work hard to earn back that trust,” wrote _______.

“Like many people, I’m scared and confused by the anger, hatred, and violence that I’m seeing in our country right now. Scared for my family and friends, for my community, and for the most vulnerable people among us,” he wrote. “Wursthall will continue, as it always has, to serve all customer regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual preference, gender orientation, disability, or political opinion — so long as they leave hate, anger, and violence outside of the doors of our restaurant.”

The controversy began when, in a now-deleted tweet, López-Alt wrote: “If you come to my restaurant wearing a MAGA cap, you aren’t getting served, same as if you come in wearing a swastika, white hood, or any other symbol of intolerance and hate.” The post received hundreds of retweets and thousands of likes, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. It also received a good deal of backlash
