Fads - Living Standards - and Other Ideals

I'm sure I have a issue with fads, thought I did do the 'bell bottom pants things and the platform shoes when I was younger", even the printed shirts. I'm learning to be more accepting of people who "like fads". I'm also continually learning to be more aware of how much challenges some people have and how they do the best they can to deal with it. I've always been with greater consideration and compassion toward the many people who have in today's society so many challenges, both of health, financial depressed conditions and the multitude of struggles that people have. As well as esteem issue and the likes. I know I should join organizations that can be of help and assistance and use my skills to be more contributory to these type of things in life.
As for the general of things
Now, personally I'm slower to adjust than I was once to "top of technology" and at one time I stayed current on developments and gadgetry, but then I got to a point, to think more about usable function, when I did that, I stopped buying the latest computer, the latest software, the latest stereo's and such. It took me a while to adjust up to the Smart phone that are basically computers, I did have a varity of phones, but I was not into texting and such.
Now, I have a Microsoft Phone, it does what I need it to do, I switched earleir this year to a model that is a bit larger, only because the other one had a problem.
I don't buy a lot of software like I use to. I don't change cars like I use to, I have Plasma TV's, maybe a digital one or two, but I did not trade in the Plasma's for LED.
I have a older laptop with XP, mainly because I'm not a frequant user of lap tops. I could find no reason for a watch that does what the phone does, and I've not bought a tablet, (though I'm considering one), just have not figured out what I want to use one for.
I'm relegating the lap top to run Music Software, maybe later I might want to buy one that doubles as a tablet, not sure just yet.
I was going to buy a BMW 6 series, but I want another Porsche, I want to 911 Turbo, but I know the 911 Carrera is a good car, and more suitable for daily driving than a Turbo, as well as the cost of the Turbo is astronomical over the 911 Carerra.
I wanted bikes some years back, so I bought the Suzuki M109R, and the Harley Ultra Class with everything except GPS. But, I gave my the Suzuki, and I have only ridden the Harley two times in the past year.
I had a Porsche, I brought with me when I moved her, it was a beautiful 1984, with 930 body style, yet, over the course of 8 yrs I only put 300 miles on it, I sold it, but now I realize, I basically gave it away, because the sales price for the same model is astronomically high and many don't have even close to the upgrades mine had. ( but, I can't turn back time, so that was a loss I live with), did the same thing with the 1989 I basically gave away for practically nothing.
I also thought about buying a "go cart" the professional type, and maybe a remote control Helicopter, because I think they would be interesting.
I don't make an income that justifies a new 911 Turbo, as the new ones are 150K. but the used model I am looking at actually cost as much as a New Cayman, or even in some cases a new model 911 Carrera, and they even cost more than a 2017 Mercedes E Class. So, the contemplation as to choices is ongoing. But, for the quality of what it is, I think it is reasonably priced specifically as a "novelty vehicle". Not an everyday driving vehicle, but I also think of how Long I let the other one just sit in the garage without driving, so, that is a factor to consider.
Not many people in this city drive Porsches, but there are some, but nothing like the volume in California when I lived there. There is a high number of people with Mercedes Benz's in this city.
It's so weird, I make less than 1/3 of what I use to earn, but I manage what I do and what I buy, because overall, its about being comfortable. It took me a few years to taper down my cost of living to fit within what this area's median is, "it was hard work" and it was worth it. I find I don't need things like I thought when I was younger, I am more concern not to have a lot of stuff that needs a lot of maintenance.
I have a friend who just bought a very nice and beautifully large home on a very large piece of property with a private pond, It's just he and his wife. I don't think I want that much land, because it has to be maintained, I know I don't want a pond, because 'snakes" live close to water  !!!! I have ample space in my home, but I do think I might go for a house with room for a Music Studio, maybe even a Crafts shop, but, in reality, I have enough back yard to add those things to my house.
Still, there are some very nice areas, I would consider, because this area is changing, and I like areas that is nice and comfortable to walk. I've been here 10ys now, and I don't like some things as much as I did when I first moved here. But that does not mean the areas is not nice, it just that it was different at first.
Who knows...... It is nice and affordable, a freeway ride to work, shopping is reasonable and some even closer, I just don't like continually moving as if one is a continual transient. I like stability.
Now, I'd like to have an extended bedroom, even thought mine is ok, maybe a indoors Jacuzzi, in the bedroom area section, and large walk in closets would be great. Those things may be more something "to move" to get, rather than overbuild for the current areas. but the oddity is, I have 3 rooms I rarely go in, so, is it really logical to move to a house with even more space, that likely I would not make usage of, "except" I'd like to have a larger more open floor plan, with a kitchen with a counter and higher ceilings. But,also I don't want an "astronomical house paying to get those things".
At age 62, I don't know about pursuing such, at this age, its better to be simply comfortable, and work on being able to do what I want, when I want to do it. with as less excess and added financial stress as possible.
I don't know what I'd do with some of the big mansion's I see wealthy people have? I do know I see many many celebrities selling some of those homes now they are older and now they are no longer the top box office draw.
I had relatives who have very beautiful homes and they owned multiple homes in very expensive communities, when they got old, they were basically using so little of the home, and they had built a home down here in the country as a summer get away, then they got sick, one wheelchair bound, and the house just sat there empty. They passed away, the now owns all the property, and she does not care for the country home, and its not certain what she did or will do with all the other property's her parents owned. She is wealthy, and has her own independent life.

The world as seen previously such type and mentality of Candidate, it may well be better to not see another Candidate of such likes in the 21st Century..
He is not a Therodore Roosevelt, and Certainly not a Teddy Roosevelt, those guys talked a good stand, but they also understand and understood the respect of humanity and the society of America and the American People.
Theodore Roosevelt's ideas on Immigrants and being an AMERICAN in 1907. he was with a dignity that represents what is America. Even back in the time of Roosevelt, Race was at discussion, though the bigoted and bias in it persisted, in a 1905 Speech, "he warned that the debasement of the blacks will in the end carry with it [the] debasement of the whites."
The problem with Trump he has an idea that comes from his Childhood Concept of America, where his father was of the culture that identified with segregationist ideals, and Trump grew up a wealthy in a system which aspired to Jim Crow Laws and Manner of Conduct, which was bias, bigoted, segregated via the premise of racism and class-ism based on ones financial divisions. He can't be the Republican Party of the Lincoln Era, because that was a party that did not attract the likes of KKK types, anti-government types, nor did it attract a pursuit of divisiveness. At this point he cannot change the trajectory of the Republican Party, as the leaders are afraid to speak for or against him, because either way the party is in perils, they have fought for the past 7.5 yrs against every program put forth for the American people. The policies of the party does not promote the unity factor,does not embrace the environmental factor, nor does it promote the nature of diplomacy needed in the world of today, therefore in many ways, it is not of the nature and character as that of the Party of Lincoln. Currently, it reflects imagery and representation via presentation and espoused commentary as the likes of the Confederacy of the past.
He talks what he does not live when it comes to supporting this nation. He does not support Union Shops in his business, nor does he respect the pay and benefits that Unions fought for Decades to Support, He does not care for immigrant except what he can use as slave wage labor for his seasonal gains, and he does not care about American Industrial Growth, because he himself outsources the production of his Trump Branded Products, and using primarily "Imported Building Materials" to construct his project. Then he plays shuffle the paper, bleed the company to avoid taxes, by the interplay of accounting practices that is based on self enrichment at the expense of any, including those who support his projects with funding.
These are foundational things, which demonstrate what his followers don't want to see. They are enamored by the "bully talk", and the "I'll kick butt" style of bravado, which has been shown to be "bluster" depending on when and where and to whom he is talking.
America yes has to have a strong nationalist position, I'm an advocate of such, but not one where we ignore and disregard the value and benefit of what is diplomacy and how it functions to be a strengthening point and not a weakness as he tries to pretend.
President Obama has done great works, yet, Trump tries to deny what is a truth that is undeniable. President GHW Bush does not speak, because he knows that the work done by President Obama, has helped save the legacy of Bush from a ridicule as being one who took down American and nearly brought the world with it.
I'm sure some of the Republican want too, a good America; but they must demonstrate they want it "for everyone", THEY MUST get past and get over "selective amnesiac remembrances", and acknowledge the truths, which include the screw up, the decades of madness of playing bleed the system first with ear marks and then colluding bills with self interest, and pretending to be innocent when facts hit the table. They must learn to respect the dignity of others, as simply people and let go of the covert antebellum racial undertone they are so eager to spew.
The video should be a direct reflective awareness to show them how vile their history has been, instead of them being proud of such, they should be with a sense of shame that makes them want to change and be a better people and a more humane driven group within society. This video is reality, it shows the images of madness, and thus the artist who composed the over tone of Trumps words, captured the exactness of the coded message but the overt link in what and how his message resonate within those who lust for a return to such imbecilic times. It should be a insult to the present day people to know their ancestry was of such ignorance and vile, all behind trying to deny others the rights of equality, yet these people claim they respect the Constitution, and respect democracy, but they hate the premise of what supports democracy, which is "Equality".
One can't serve God and the Devil, and claim themselves Godly. Yet they wonder why people have this concept of the "evil white person". Only white people can change that, by living with a concept of respect for others as they want for themselves. Many of the more liberal minded white people, understand this and have taken a character posture and mentality of respecting others, and seeing others with eyes and spirits of equality, they want unity and commonest in opportunity for all, in equal as they want for themselves.
This is a stark contrast, from the mindset of many whom aspire to the support of the Trump agenda, when it is demonstrated his campaign has attracted the likes of KKK and other bigoted and racist antagonist, who push for adversarial positions and void out the concerns of unity and equality.
One can't push the delusion of comments that right wingers utter, as if other want free stuff, when they are themselves recipient as well as pursuer's of any and very kind of benefit the system has to offer, and then turn and denigrate the system and any others who get or utilize benefits. They have some delusion that these benefit are only for them.
Then they spew this ignorance of "I pay my taxes", as if everyone else does not pay taxes. Yet, they won't speak up when the big corporations skip out on paying their responsible fair share of taxes. People need to think.... they have to get over that 18th and 19th Century ignorance.
For Centuries they abused others, and then claim it was ok, because the law allowed it, when they knew the law was twisted from biased abuse and racial bigotry which contorted and made unfair the function of the law. They cast aside ethic's because they valued more the pursuit of self enrichment at the expense of others, with no limitation on what vile and horror they would engage to pursue it. Wherefore, such an avarice driven spirit was of more importance than the ethnic of honoring the premise of equality and fairness among "all" mankind.
Time brings truth even when the voice of denial yells loudly, the truth prevails because it is the truth, and drown the voice of ignorance to be nothing more than the rumblings of fools.
America in this day and time, is far and improved than any time it has ever existed. Yet, the denial and the vile of disregard, is spewed from mouths of the unaware, like muddy waters from a fountain, made foul with a smell of decaying matter and they drink by the buckets, all for the sake of rebel rousing; while some continues their private matter of fortune gathering at the expense of any and all. So is the ways of the wicked, when vanity choosing madness to hail ones self, while it promotes anarchy among the masses. This is what becomes of the wickedness that fools make and call it merriment.
The wisdom's of the wise shall make many stand strong and the choices of the honorable shall make small, the march of the madmen and fools.
We "The People" shall have our chance to vote - "November 8th" - as American People.

They met on a dating site and went bowling. It was a setup, police say, and now he’s dead.
There was no reason for Adam Hilarie to believe anything but the obvious: He had just been on a promising first date with a pretty girl.
Hilarie had met Hailey Rose Bustos on PlentyOfFish, which bills itself as the largest dating site in the world. He’d picked her up and they went bowling in Winter Haven, Fla., at Cypress Lanes, which offers shoe and lane rentals for a quarter on Thursday nights, and specials on pizza and beer.
A few hours later, the pair ended up at his place, where they talked a bit more and met up with his roommate.
Then, Hilarie dropped his date off at home.
Bustos sent the single father a text afterward: She’d had a good time, she wrote to Hilarie, and wanted to meet up the following night at his place.
The next night, her real intentions became clear, police told The Washington Post.
Bustos, 18, brought three men with her to Hilarie’s place, including two career criminals on probation for violent felonies. At least one of the men, police said, had a gun.
When Hilarie, 27, responded to the knock on the door, the men overpowered him and dashed inside, police said.
Hilarie was begging for his life, he was not putting up any kind of fight, and was telling them that he had a 5-year-old ,” according to arrest reports obtained by the Orlando Sentinel.
Hilarie was shot in the head and collapsed on the kitchen floor, Auburndale’s Deputy Police Chief Andy Ray told The Washington Post.
With Hilarie on the floor in a pool of blood, Ray said, the suspects went downstairs, pulled their car to the front of the apartment and began stealing the dead man’s Xbox, iPhone and TVs — valuables Bustos had spotted the night before.
A witness told investigators that Bustos had been involved in at least one similar robbery before, Ray told The Post.
For her role in the deadly robbery of Adam Hilarie, Bustos was paid $50 in cash, police said.

“Romance is by definition quite irrational,” Jack Levin, co-director of Northeastern University’s Brudnick Center on Violence and Conflict, told The Post. “And the smartest person can be taken in during the early stages of the dating process. Except now it’s more sophisticated and easier for someone to lie and cheat and fabricate because they can pretty much change their identity to make it fit a new reality.”
Scammers, Levin said, “are experts at presentation of self. When you’re dealing with the Internet, you don’t need the resources that you might need in an interpersonal relationship, or face-to-face. But on the Internet all you need really is to be very skillful at presenting yourself as something that you aren’t. And it’s so much easier for someone to do that online.”

Why do so many men & women go crazy for illusions about sxx, and later find he or she does not know the man or woman or can't stand to be around him or her?
People so rarely don't get to know each other as a full circle individual, they get caught up in the "look" and the "allure" and go full speed ahead. Then as with so many within two week, maybe even in some cases 6 months they can't wait to get away.
It becomes even more crazy when people start to measure the financial standing of one or the other, and later come back crying that they were duped when they don't get what they want, when fact is they may well have duped themselves, through their fixation on financial standings of the other and the expectations they attached to it.
What ever happen to "getting to know one another as "INDIVIDUALS", as "PERSON" and understanding the "CHARACTER" of each other.
More and more people not only break up quick, they go into assault and attack upon one or the other, when their expectations are not provided for.
It's kind of funny, how so many worry and post a million post about "short term" scammers, but they never think to consider the "long term" scammers.. the ones who come with a mountain of expectation, but bring so little of "concern" to actually work together and share to build what they want to have and share.
I see a great many working poor couples, who not only put their resources together, and they stick with each other, through the financial down times, as well as the times when one may have more challenge than the other to have surplus expendable resources. Even the couples who stick together, when one or both has to work two jobs to make things works out.
I don't think much of that kind of mindset is a majority in this site, it is more people are looking for "ready made situations", either they think their looks of body shape can get them access, or in some cases, a guy with money, using money as a lure tactic, and eventually he gets tired of buying her on a daily basis, and the relationship falters.
We've read about the relationships that falter, because of money for one reason or the other such as either they don't have it, or they waste it, or they are not dominantly focused on money.
If people took the time to come to learn and know each other, as "INDIVIDUALS", as "PERSON" and understanding the "CHARACTER" of each other, maybe they would have known more about each others ideas about, Life, Living, money, and each other, including their work ethic and certainly each other's team-working motivations.
So few come to know such things; because "some" are looking either to be wine'd and dine'd, or to be the one paying for the wining and dining as some symbol of something.
When everyone knows that fades and changes after the courting game of the "hot's" for each other cools down and they have to deal with the reality of each other, and each others life and the reality of relating, work schedules, and many other things.
Sometimes a great many poor couples have a better time building their future and learning each other together; than some of the more well to do one, whom is fine with everything until the financial picture changes or some expectation is not met as they fantasized it to expect.
Some people just don't have the capabilities suitable to build a team working and sharing relationship, sometimes its their ideology that does not fit, sometimes its their inability or even lack of ability to communicate, and for some, they get caught up in what they "expect", more than considering what there is to "respect". When respect is greater than expect, people have a better chance to make it sustainable.

Selling the fiction of facial looks, body shapes and such is always more shallow than it is enduring, because the FACTS OF LIFE is, the face will change, the body shape will change and sex has its ways of changing as well. When such happen, what then will a great many do if that is what they based their getting together upon?
Therefore:
It just might be of importance IF people took the time to come to learn and know each other, as "INDIVIDUALS", as "PERSON" and understanding the "CHARACTER" of each other, maybe they would have known more about each others ideas about, Life, Living, money, and Each Other as being a mate, including their work ethic and certainly each other's team-working motivations.

Very Different

The DNC (Democratic National Convention) was very positively focused with many uplifting policy aims. It reflected what is America and its people.
The RNC ( Republican National Convention) was full of anger, vile, pushing of fears and social divides. It did not reflect what is America and its people.

The Media looks for Controversy, They missed the point, which is Sanders pulled in a large young vote, and he wisely told them, in so many words, there is only one to be nominated, but he also told them- focus on the issues and policy aims and they will see and know their success in helping craft a more progressive agenda.
Now, its time for the followers of Sanders, to know when they'd won a great value for their efforts. These are many young people, whom don't grasp that all that Sanders promoted was not to be or become a total change to the system of American. They reached their actual goal and that was to influence the agenda with progressive aims.
Sanders has been around a long time, he knows how to make his followers see wisdom to understand the success they have achieved and to unite and move forward.
Trump, well, he's at his twitter and likely will come out blowing fire and pushing more fear..... It's to be expected, as he's done nothing else as an agenda, so he will likely continue pushing fear, arousing divisiveness and seeking to attack something or someone.

Late Evening Storm

Well, it was hot yesterday, some what nice clouds earlier in the day, they turned darker in the early evening. Around 8pm, then came the heavy winds and blowing gust of rain.
The neighbors trees were swaying very much, its a wonder they did not break and fall.
This morning I went to my front yard, and again, a tree limb from the tree in my front yard, had a broken limb that again, fell on the house. 
I think the best scenario is to have the tree cut down!!! I can't do anything about the massive tree's in my neighbors yard. But I did call the Insurance company last week to ask about potential damage from neighbors trees.
He told my my Insurance would cover my home.
Well I will call the tree trimmers to cut up the limb that fell on my house last night. and maybe get them to remove the whole tree.
I am quite certain the neighbor will never cut all those trees in their yard, the expense to do so probably is tremendous. ( It's insane the previous owners would plant or allow that many trees to grow in a single yard. | The Neighbors behind me also have a lot of very large trees in their yards as well.)
I know the Area opted for that suburban rustic look and feel, but I don't think they considered what it is to have that many very large trees when they fully mature.

Some areas of the city have very large trees which line the streets and from a visual it looks good, and some homes have a lot of well maintained vegetation in some areas with very nice homes. Then every now and then one can see a home that the people did not stay on top of grooming and trimming their vegetation and it has overtaken the lawn and the homes.
Nature will be nature, left unattended and un-maintained, it will revert back to being what it was, before the land was cleared for home building. I don't think people often grasp that concept.
Many contributing factors, including change in job, income and even economic as it relates to older age of the residents, can contribute to once beautiful vegetation and trees becoming a tremendous eye sore and a highly potential hazard.
It's interesting, as we all will age with time, as will the vegetation's and trees, maybe everyone does not factor these added ongoing cost into what is retirement expense, and slowly some places result to show the inability to maintain the standard they once may have done.
Today, grounds keeping, gardening and tree management, is and has become an increasingly high expense service. No one does these jobs for cheap anymore. These are also jobs that can get in a condition far beyond what a "handi-man" service is capable of handling.
During my work, I've been to sites where Trees have fallen on peoples property, it is not a pretty site to see. The devastation to the house is in some cases beyond belief. Then if its repairable, that is time consuming and also one has to go and live in a hotel until the work is done. That too is a challenge.
I wonder at some point will Insurance Companies make policy adjustments when people have so many large trees in their yard especially in community with standardized sized lots.
A lot of the newer cookie cutter subdivisions, do not have very large trees, and they seem to be more aware of what type of trees they plant or allow to keep standing as they building these communities. The houses are generally "very close" to each other, barely meeting the minimum standard of distance between housing structures.
I have friends who have bought multiple Acres with a large home included, some even with private ponds, it looks great. !!!! I personally am not so motivated for such, as my father had his place of retirement before he passed, on multiple acres, with a pond; it turned out, to require a lot of grass cutting, finally a guy with a large tractor came to keep it cut. There were no large trees near the home, but there was a grove of trees in various areas of the land. It was nice to sit on the porch and look at it, but it certainly was a lot of work to maintain it in a well groomed condition. That too was an expense.
I guess such would be good, as long as it affordable where it can be maintained without having to put too much thought about the cost and time of doing so, by having a crew of some sort to simply take care of it.
It's always something to deal with, (two weeks or so, it was the neighbors attacking my dog, now the tree limb again, before it was car air conditioner, then upholstering my car seat and headliner, and etc........) But, that goes with living, there is no such that as a challenge free life that does not require some maintenance and/or services.

I took some time today to check out google maps and look at some places. I was looking at the street view of 'Singapore" and other parts of Malaysia.
Singapore is very clean from the views I looked at, and it is very very well maintained.
Considering the many nice in appeal women who come from the REGION'S, if I was in my 30's it would be a nice place to be and certainly many charming appeals to meet.  Well, I'm not 30  
The Regions of S.E. Asian location have some very nice 'greenery" which makes landscaping look very good and rich in vegetation variety to make for a great landscape.
One item I've noticed from various S.E. Asian locations is the volume of people, one should be able to have good business because of the "volumes", as there are many well to do people who have built a great many things in these various regions.

Are we aware of what it taking place on the economic challenges from Nation to Nation.
Once the Sun never sat on the British Empire, that no longer exist for the longest time.
We've seen the shuffle since the world and the currency battles have ensued, the latest after the many challenges of Greece, Puerto Rico, Latin America and Many Nation who've not fully disclosed their position. We see, as it was inevitable that China would face challenge when it could no longer gain above 7% GDP growth, and we watched the Russian Economy decline more than 50% of its currency value. The West Coast is in long term drought, and California who once had GDP higher than many countries, they now have debt beyond their ability to resolve. No longer are the valleys blooming with produce, as the water crunch has closed many once thriving farming sectors.
Most are busy worried about their erogenous concerns, their vanity appeal, and their material pursuits, until much happens without people being even remotely aware.
Generally by the time the conflict hits the streets, the issues and contentions have grown exponentially.
It would be great if mankind could figure it out, that life is to be lived and shared, there is no need for hoarding, because no one takes anything with them when they depart living. The advance in information is astounding, but the use of knowledge has been used for the claim of power and the fact of power corrupts become and is a reality and has been through the history of mankind.
Amazing, how the Animals of the earth, don't hoard, some may store up for the winter, but each spring, they go back to work preparing for the next winter. No long term hoarding.
We have people today with such vast wealth, beyond the need to buy anything material, but they choose to pursue the buying of "control".
We've seen nothing but "Corporate Take Overs", continue to create the same Monopolies which were long ago outlawed. Political gaming has set challenge to defeat the entrance by many, without first paying into the system, to gain access and support. That too, is a mix which excludes whole groups.
We view the destruction in "once thriving cities" in countries engaged in conflict, with nothing but desolation and rubble. What then happens when such things happen in the Major Metro's from Nation to Nation.
Being Prepared - What is the Option? - "How"? Is the Question will one be of preparedness
Why might we ask, is the Avarice of man such a deep seated vice-
Today, viewing news, people are killing in mass their families, independent people killing each other, and daily the news if filled with such madness. We know not why, as the perp is generally killed or kills themselves.
We may need to be of deep care in the choice we make on a Personal, Local State and National Levels.
How do we deal with the issue which many nations have addressed of "overpopulation"? Will we have a Somalian Type Camp on each continent?
We can see India, and China and their Billion People populations, each concerned about the vast numbers of persons, but also about the aging of their populations.
What will it be for the elderly and the sickly, when nation upon nation is crying about financial crunches. Yet, the vast wealth sits in the hands of a few, for nothing but the sake of "Power To Influence and Control". There then is the mass of people in every country who rely on what ever aspect of public assistance. Where is the money to help them?
America has vast wealth, it is no reason that everyone in the nation is not paid a wage to a level to meet the National Advertised Standard, which present examples of such, seen via our media and movies???
America has been on a changed course since the days of JFK. The items JFK put in place to try and make a more fair nation, were reversed upon his death. No longer could there be racial discrimination on a Federal Level, but on an economic level segregation has only increased. It's not just based on skin, but it is now based on many other factors, as we've seen a system which now classifies people as Degree'd, Skilled, Professional and Semi Professional. Laborer's matter no more. Because the global access to labor does not to address or be of concern with persons as individual. Laborers are expendable, as we've seen and we continue to see with the advance of robotics and pursuit of labor in the less economically prominent nations.

A few days ago when the attack happened to my dog, I initially took pictures, then the following day, I attempted to take more pictures of my carpet. Well, the screen on my phone was blank!!!! Even when I was trying to use it during the emergency it was acting crazy, I thought maybe the battery was low, but it continued to act less than desirable. It was very frustrating to have an urgent situations and the phone did not work properly !!!!!
Well !!!! I'd planned to upgrade it soon anyway, so I called around asking about "Windows Phones", and kept getting a response they did not have any in stock. I called one place, they had 2. I had wanted to stay with the small 4.7" screen, but they did not have the model I wanted. So I ended up with a larger phone - I was not thrilled about it, because I don't like carrying it in my pocket or carrying it in my hand. I bought it!!! then I got the side pouch, the sad part they had the lateral pouch, but not the vertical one. So, I bought it !!
It's a bit crazy how everyone is selling this "fake cheap cardboard covered with what looks like leather", but as with the other case, after a few months it showed how fake it was in the ways it cracked and threads began to show. Anyway, right now I have this low quality clip on lateral pouch. 
As to the Phone, It's by Microsoft, some apps it won't take, but over all so far it is fast and performs far superior than my older one. I don't know what bugs it might have later, but I'll work with it and see how it does over the next few months.
I did not want an Android, and I did not want an Iphone, I wanted a "Windows Phone", as my computer uses windows both at home and at work. It did not make much sense to get android or Iphone, when most of what I use is windows products.
The market place is saturated with anything one can want for Android and Iphone has its own line of stuff. Windows is a bit more limited, but so far it does what I need to do at this time.
