I'm patiently waiting for this part of the website to be fixed.
新的网站出现了故障。
I suppose it's blog-a-ble that the recent changes have affected the online search engine to malfunction. I think it's more than 3 weeks now it's this way...

There was a time when you could sit down at the pharmacy blood pressure machine and check your pressure by pressing one button... START
That's it. One button and wait for the results.
Old technology.
Now you have to log in giving personal information for them to keep on file. I say BS.
There are USB ports and SD memory slots for transferring and saving data.
Again... BS.

It took several attempts but I was actually able to 'work around' the menu into accepting that I wasn't going to enter my personal information... actually, I think I did give it some bogus information (age, height, weight) but pressure is pressure. Right?

All the other machines prior to this checked pressure. Height weight or age wasn't important to the machine. Pressure is pressure.

Analyzing pressure to height weight or age is different... The machines that check pressure are the same... Pressure is pressure regardless of height, weight or age. 180 over 110 is considered high pressure and it doesn't matter your height, weight or age. Sure there are other factors, but pressure is pressure.

Seriously... this has gone too far with machines that want to keep my personal information. Just check my pressure and (let me) have a nice day.

The meteor that killed off the dinosaurs...

I was listening to XM radio yesterday and one of the talk shows had mentioned a meteor killed off all the dinosaurs. Maybe I was absent the day they taught that lesson.

Lets see... dinosaurs are all around the globe. Huge creatures on land, in the water and flying around the sky. Real creatures... not mythological and one freaking meteor wiped all of them out?

Oh, I've got to know more about this. Maybe I can find something on YouTube.

Actually a friend mentioned The Chicxulub Crater, Luis Alvarez & his Walter and their hypothesis... the mass extinction of the dinosaurs and other living things was caused by the impact of a large asteroid on the Earth some sixty-five million years ago.

There you have it! one meteor responsible for killing off the dinosaurs.

New cars don't come with spare tires...

This seems to be the trend with car manufacturers. Got a flat? Call roadside assistance.

I found out (the hard way) my new car doesn't have a spare tire. There is a well for a temporary spare, but it's filled with a foam block that
holds a pump and a can of 'fix-a-flat- product.

If your tire needs more than a plug, you could be stranded as roadside assistance may have to arrange towing to get a replacement tire.

What happened to me was, I lost tire pressure and drove a few blocks until I could safely pull over. My car has low-profile tires that cannot go any distance flat (like many conventional tires can) and the manufacturer's size isn't common. I was fortunate a Tire Kingdom store is 2 miles from me and they have that size in stock.

If you have a late model car, I suggest you have a look to see if your car comes with a spare tire.

I'm sure you all realize the Chinese FriendFinder website has been revamped. Some of it looks great. Like all new things there appears to be some glitches in the new programming. I've noticed the search feature doesn't work properly. Changing the state and country selections has no effect on it's search. I cannot get beyond Florida, my home state.
Hopefully, someone reported it to the proper department and they are working on the fix!

Rub the side of your nose and sniff your finger...

If you're like me, it smells like cheese. Provolone to be exact. I had a turkey sandwich today with Provolone cheese. Very weird... I know. I'm guessing it's the oil in my skin that comes from the oil in the food. You are what you eat.
My mom warned me if I eat too many hamburgers (back in the 60's) I would look like a hamburger. You're close mom... all that hamburger is running through my veins.

Go ahead... rub the side of your veins and see if your finger smells like hamburger!

I lost my best friend...

I lost my best friend last month. We met in December of 2000 and were nearly inseparable. We traveled many places together, even slept together. Oh, what a ride we had both day and night. When you were sick, I cared for you. Some amazing places we rode together and I remember twice when you helped me carry water heaters to my house. You also helped me drag trees to the front for garbage pickup. Who could forget all those trips to the Florida Keys... not me.

I've lost count of the number of batteries, tires, wiper blades you needed. Two sets of brakes, clutch, light bulbs to keep you glowing at night. Unfortunately your thirst for oil was up to a quart a week and I feared it would only get worse. You were constantly stuffed with tools, parts for my jobs, computers and monitors and just about everything I could get into you would fit.

Everyone knew we were together. All the security guards at the country clubs and projects I worked at recognized you two blocks away. You were amazing... simply amazing.

I was beside myself wondering what to do and how much I would put into this relationship to keep you going, but after 13 years together I felt like it was time to move on.

After I signed you over and took delivery of a brand new car I felt sadness knowing that your next owner won't have a clue to the years of dedication you have afforded me. Celica, you were the best car I ever owned!

PS, I still have your spare key in my top drawer...

I have to remember to quote people when commenting to comments in my blogs. I see now if you make a comment and close your account (or go invisible) your blog comments disappear.

"Hey chatillion... why are you replying to non-comments?"

It's because someone was really there... really.

Getting a Chinese woman to leave California...

Guys, maybe you have succeeded at this... meeting a Chinese woman who lives in California and getting her to accept a relationship with you in another state. Yes, that means relocation.
Maybe their profile says they are willing to relocate, but I haven't found it so.
I've been a member of Chinese FriendFinder for a number of years and met a 'few hundred' women online. Many are living in California and all my contacts from women California have been a wasted attempt.
I'm thinking... they are settled and have family, good jobs, great weather. Why would they want to loose that?

Oh... did I mention how hard it is to get a Chinese woman living in Hawaii to leave?

I like Daylight Savings Time (DST) and I wish it were in effect year round.
Now, the East coast of America is 12 hours behind China.
Not much of a blog today... It's tax season and I'm gathering information for my accountant.
